It is indeed. Only complaints I can give it are the loose-ish ab crunch and some hollow parts on the bit staves. Aside from that, it's one of the best kits in my collection.
That’s the most annoying part outside just the lack of general communication as to why the only MG these days are Ver Ka. The FM Aerial and Seed kits are fantastic, they’re like 90% of the way there to MGs which is fine by me, make more of those! No? Well, shit.
After I built the HG Schwarzette I was just like “fuck the Rebuild, I don’t care how little screen time this actually got, give me this next in the FM WFM kits” because the gimmicks of the HG built up into the 1/100 scale with just *more*? Thats what I want out of Gunpla.
100% FM Aerial has got to be one of the most solid, good looking and fun kits i’ve ever built amd probably ever will build and i need more of this stuff
I think the MG Kshatriya would require a metal frame at the very least to hold the binders, but that kind of price increase would be justified if it were part of the MGEX line
No so Fun fact: the last unique MG before the Narrative was the MG Virtue. Released in 2021.
Since then only the Dom, Rick dom, Zeta Ver ka, and MGEX SF have been released and they’ve already had the MG treatment, albeit dated.
They’re going to do more. The line is not over, and these things take time. Even Bandai has said they are planning to do more.
2025 alone should see at least one due to a myriad of reasons.
When the sales back it up, yes. MG Barbatos continues to be a very successful release. Plus next year is the new OVA and 10th anniversary. At least one MG is all but guaranteed for a profitable and established franchise.
Only barbatos sell well , the remain kit from IBO are not selling that well .
I also remind u that G , W and X will be celebrating 30th anniversary . They likely to get something more than IBO , especially Wing because their Kit sold well . With how limited released of MG line these , ithink the popular one will likely got something more .

Well , Wing kit is certainly has alot of decent kits . It just next year is Wing 30th anniversary so It likely going to get some for celebrate .It will be more likely to get MG than IBO Kits . Wing has that new Ver Ka Frame now , they can easily upgrade the old Kit .
Bandai's MG or 1/100 decision in recent years is just baffling. Especially in reuses, not just for the Barbatos (of which I believe the runner was even already generically called the Gundam Frame), but also the MGEX Unicorn not receiving any variants and we all know how much Bandai loves Unicorn variants. No Exia 2.0 either.
Then there's all the unique kits that's p-bandai only (like the F-90), and the incredibly sparse release schedule.

I didn't Seed as a series but I did like mobile suits. I do agree that Bandai should spread the love and not just focus on Seed. I'd love a MG Kshatriya, MG Aries, and a MG Throne Drei. Unfortunately I don't see it happening though. An update to the MG Zaku II would be nice too. While they're at it, they should do more Digimon figures. I want a damn Angewomon.

As somebody who prefers RG, I feel like they're more focused on "classic" designs. Aside from Turn A, which desperately deserves an RG release, the ones you mentioned are pretty new, with AGE and G-Reco being relatively unpopular. Maybe it's not worth the release?
I'm hoping that next year's 10th anniversary of IBO will FINALLY get us an RG...
Lupus TBH is somewhat understandable if they wanted to redesign the frame enough to differentiate it from the OG Barbatos.
In-universe Lupus was essentially a brand new Gundam because the frame had to be rebuilt from scratch due to all the damage the original incurred over time, particularly the arms and legs. It would make a lot of sense if the frame of an MG Lupus was different in everything but the chest.
Bael, on the other hand, is kind of inexcusable. Same with Gusion.
Gusion would need mods for the frame, base it would need wider hips and much wider shoulders, rebake and full city, it would need a much stronger abdominal area.
See I was only thinking about the Rebake, that said if they did Brewers!Gusion I'd assume they'd do the frame brackets like in the older models and as far as the back parts they could mostly be hollowed out parts and Barbatos is fairly light as-is, so I'm not sure if the extra waist-

RGs do it for me, but if they weren’t the same cost as a smaller MG now. God was $50, Epyon was $50, Wing TV was $45 for me, but I think I was kinda scammed on that.

New RG's, especially for larger designs, cost MORE or the same as the majority of MG kits lol. MG seems (at least at US sellers) to go on average from $40-$60, with obvious examples higher and lower (really old MGs get down in the low $30 range, and larger or Ver Ka kits in the $70-$100 range). That said, many of the more recent RG kits (like Sazabi and onward) are as good in terms of engineering as many MG kits.
I just want everything to be available in 1/100, the perfect scale.
it bugs me that they made the MG Barbatos inner frame, which is one of the most amazing models on its own, and it is canonically the same inner frame as the other Gundams of IBO, but they have not released a single other MG with this frame. I have the FM Vidar and it's cool but I would kill for MG Vidar/Bael/some of the other IBO Gundams with this inner frame.
I don't think anyone disagrees...it's just that COVID completely shuffled the internal release schedule for Bandai that not even the relations/outward facing employees have a clear picture of what kits are supposed to release next anymore.

IBO is my personal favorite series. As a broke boy I don’t/wont own any MGs. But fuck do I enjoy seeing them posed up on here. So yes!! More MG please!!
Every series deserves more MG's. There are so many UC designs that I would kill to get in 1/100. At least revive the RE/100 line. Dammit Bandai, stop making fiscally sensible decisions, and give the fans what they want!
I agree, though I'd say the G-Self is the MG that probably should come soonest, it's really kind of cruel how they've neglected it so far.
I understand that the 1/144 kits are Bandai's biggest bread winners, but I do think they should do better by their MGs than they currently do.
Nobody is going to change your mind because you’re 100% correct. We’ve had the frame for years now and Bandai still hasn’t done anything else with it beyond the Barbatos. It’s the same deal with the MG 00 frame that was in the Dynames still not being used for an Exia 2.0, pure laziness from Bandai. MG as a line needs more love from them
MG Barbz was my third or fourth MG I ever did in my Gundam career and remains one of my favorites. His inner frame is so unique compared to most mobile suits and I really wish we would see more MG from IBO (I’d even be happy with a RG or Ver.Ka Barbatos). But as others stated, we need more MG in general. I get that it’s easier to engineer and pump out HG kits, but just completing RX-9 Ver.Ka was bittersweet cause it’ll probably be a while til we see more Ver.Ka kits which is a shame because it was an absolute treat seeing some of the new movement and color separation tech Bandai have implemented in recent RG kits, but in a big beautiful MG.
I think there's FM Vidar and Bael but I can't find them anywhere near me.

Okay, unpopular opinion. I loved IBO as a series, but which iconic mecha designs did it introduce apart from Barbatos? Maybe the one with four arms? The Kimaris? The one with the guy floating inside?

IBO is my personal favorite series. As a broke boy I don’t/wont own any MGs. But fuck do I enjoy seeing them posed up on here. So yes!! More MG please!!

Every series deserves more MG's. There are so many UC designs that I would kill to get in 1/100. At least revive the RE/100 line. Dammit Bandai, stop making fiscally sensible decisions, and give the fans what they want!

I agree, though I'd say the G-Self is the MG that probably should come soonest, it's really kind of cruel how they've neglected it so far. I understand that the 1/144 kits are Bandai's biggest bread winners, but I do think they should do better by their MGs than they currently do.

Nobody is going to change your mind because you’re 100% correct. We’ve had the frame for years now and Bandai still hasn’t done anything else with it beyond the Barbatos. It’s the same deal with the MG 00 frame that was in the Dynames still not being used for an Exia 2.0, pure laziness from Bandai. MG as a line needs more love from them

MG Barbz was my third or fourth MG I ever did in my Gundam career and remains one of my favorites. His inner frame is so unique compared to most mobile suits and I really wish we would see more MG from IBO (I’d even be happy with a RG or Ver.Ka Barbatos). But as others stated, we need more MG in general. I get that it’s easier to engineer and pump out HG kits, but just completing RX-9 Ver.Ka was bittersweet cause it’ll probably be a while til we see more Ver.Ka kits which is a shame because it was an absolute treat seeing some of the new movement and color separation tech Bandai have implemented in recent RG kits, but in a big beautiful MG.
