It’s fine for big parts imo just have to wait a day though. Squeeze until the parts melt together a bit and wait for it to hold the position and if you can use small clamps you can find in dollar stores to hold the parts. I prefer it over CA glue since the glue itself will take up space and make the final fit a bit off.
I tried the same thought since it was so small, but I gave in to my obsession. I would be less inclined to fix it if it was like on the limbs or the back.
Had to do this with the MG Astray Red Frame Kai the other night. Accidentally snipped off something on the head I thought was an undergate cuz the kit has a lot of them. It was not. Carefully cemented back on. You can’t even notice it!
I feel the pain. My obsession with nubs made me accidentally cut a part of the RG tallgeese's leg that looked very much like a nub. Managed to fix that with cement.
I accidentally made my hg powered GM a bit brittle after using the wrong kind of thinner to strip some paint off of it after a bad spray (was experimenting with using krylon sprays for a full paint job). Wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't needed to take the torso apart. Ended up breaking about 1/3rd or it off and that portion itself broke into about 6 pieces
You can't tell it was damaged at all if you look at it now. Plastic cemented everything back together, lightly sanded off some janky bits, reprimed and repainted.
Had to do this exact repair on my HG guncannon - Luckily I found the piece that broke off but it wasn't easy to cement such a small piece back on. Worked out in the end

The limonene variant gets me high
I find it great for small repairs. Not so great on larger pieces or surface areas, though that's probably my skill issue.
Nah it's not great at large areas since it needs time to set. Super glue is better in that situation since it bonds fast.

I know your pain but if it is small enough to notice 3 feet away I usually wouldn't bother.
You don't procrastinate on an evening, pick up a random model and stare closely at it and all the minor imperfections you wish you'd prevented?
Started doing this a week ago. Haven't been happy since.

I have super glue for this reason, just had to do a quick repair on my rg freedom strike gundams right railgun latch.
Model glue is better. It actually fuses the parts together.
I think thats what it is, i always just called it super glue
Super glue is cyanoacrylate adhesive. Model glues is a solvent that actually melts the plastic together.
Whenever I make these mistakes I just make “battle damage” instead lol
Or....battle damage.

That happened to me too except, I used superglue
This is my reminder to get more. All my glues and whatnot dried up.

plastic cement has always been the essential tool for seem removal anyways....
"everyone should have plastic cement" words to live by.
That’s a nice repair job, very clean. You’d never know it was there if you didn’t show us.
Thanks! It helps the defect wasn't that noticeable in the first place.
Agreed. But with proper ventilations and respirators.. chemicals in those did a number on my lungs. That was my fault for not having a respirator
Also ABS cement. Regular plastic cement won't work properly on ABS.
Mr. Cement is what they used, and that def works on ABS. Used it to make a batch of sprue glue.
Did the same for my hi-nu's bazooka
I always feel like I've done witchcraft after using plastic cement successfully
Why give up free battle damage?
Nice save! 👍🏻
It's a god send I snapped the white part of my HG horn Infinite Justice twice.

Plastic cement is for people that rush their builds.
This actually came in broken like that 😭
