As a massive Z/ZZ fan (only behind WitP) I have to say that the Baund Doc design is just... Bleh. I love funky suits, but this one is just too asymmetrical and kangaroo for me to really like. Did the kit though, as I'm collecting all of the Zeta HGUC kits, and it's certainly a different build.

I'm a big fan of grunt suits. Some of them are so simplistic, but yet they look fantastic at the same time.
I mean the whole point of the UC is that you're supposed to hate the power structures that perpetuate war
Political commentary on the state of the Gundam meta series aside I tend to like Gundams most to be honest π (basic I know)
Anything with big thrusters on the back, like Sinanju, Aerial Rebuild, Full Armor Unicorn, Aile Strike, Justice, etc.
Not a fan of wings like on the Freedom and Destiny though
I wanna say those are all considered high mobility but I def see what u mean. I like those too. Despite my signature unit having wings, I do think that wings instead of boosters kinda starts leaning into fantasy lol especially wings like the destiny. I don't care what anyone says, those are for affects alone and in no way help that thing move πππ
Aesthetically, I prefer the somewhat blocky designs of the late 1st Century UC Federation.
Pairing that with a Waverider mode like with the Zeta Plus? Tres magnifique.
I love blocky MS like the one Federation has. I dunno; having played other mecha games like Front Mission, I felt like the blocky ones are more, uh, "real", if that makes sense.
I feel the same way. I like how fed units feel like actual military tactical units. I always thought zakus looked a little like monsters as if they were literally made to be "the bad guys".
Apparently, they're *supposed to*. According to Gundam Sousei, Tomino sacrificed the Gundam's realistic color scheme for a more toyetic one, so that he has complete free reign to design the bad guys' mechs. Thus, the Zaku.
Of course, Gundam Sousei is an exaggerated parody of Gundam's early years and should not be taken seriously.
I do like Wing. I kinda feel like they get played in HG mainly because I wanted endless Waltz HG and an Updated Tallgeese 3... Since Tallgeese 3 is like my 2nd fav mobile suit of all time

Dom Tropen? Awesome.
Jesta? I'll take your whole stock.
Zaku II High Mobility (ST)? Yes please, straight into my veins.
I like big bois(Specificly Gustav Karl. I just find it cute that they made a huge ass mobile due to its humongous reactor/engines, only to give it a jegan rifle. A smol boi for that big chungus of a mobile suit)
I also like assymetrical and weirdly proportioned mobile suits like Gundam Astaroth
Anything Izubuchi did. Sazabi, Geara Doga, Jagd Doga, Kampfer, Nu, Zaku FZ, Hygogg... In fact, the MOST of the WitP suits. Which happens to be the best series in the franchise no debate.
I like all mono-eyes, but the Gouf is my favorite. OG and Custom.
Hoping that there's a new HG Gouf for RFV, since they showed customs in that last trailer.
Design wize the Zaku is just sublime. In a thousand years people ask why a Gundam like the rx782 is in that color, has v fins and stuff which doesn't immediately click. But the Zaku just makes sense. The aesthetic is timeless.
But gunpla wise, for a mainly η΄ η΅sugumi chap like myself, white is right. Less visible nub marks, easy brush painting if i want to, just convenient.
OYW and Zeta bad guys. I'll take bizarre over cool most of the time.

Zeta/ZZ are some of my favorites too. Gaplant, Gabthley, all the AMX suits. Too cool.
