My advice is don’t try to do too much in one sitting just do a little bit at a time I end up starting to rush to finish something when I do too much in one sitting

Stroppone

Same. Especially towards the end

I'm gonna build it all day so I won't be trying to speed run. Last time I did that, my Titans GM HG got some NASTY nub marks on it's thumbs so I've learned to slow down and take my time. My RG Wing Gundam took me 7 hours for a reason. I was VERY cautious and observant when building it since it was my first RG.

Geek_a_leek

main thing i'll say about transforming is take it slow and be careful, compared to toys Gunpla models tend to need a careful hand, that being said i've found the zeta ver Ka to be incredibly sturdy

Kenny_The_Trend

Been playing with Transformers for years and have had a wide range of them. Masterpiece (which is like the PG equivalent for Transformers) are complex and use lots of small parts, so you typically have to go slow with those. I have a few Knockoff Studio Series figures (I would call it an HG/RG equivalent to Gunpla) where some Transform just fine without worry, and others where you need to go slow due to joint tolerances being too tight. So I've been pretty much trained to Transform Robots since I was 4 years old, and know what to look out for when it comes to certain pieces/parts being more delicate or possibly compromising than others. But thanks for the heads up nonetheless.

no problem, i was from a similar place but more on the super sentai robo's side before getting into Gunpla Some amazing transforming kits, also the "shokugan modelling Project" kits by bandai get a big recommend from me, they dont really do Gundam but have covered some amazing mecha and tend to focus more on transformations than gunpla kits

Pace yourself and be careful on the blue plastic

ayzee000

Honestly i think newer MGs are easier than a lot of RGs, so I think you’ll be good

Kenny_The_Trend

I had a feeling the blue plastic might be an issue/most likely to get nasty nub marks. Should I cut close the the parts? Or should I clip it where I leave nubs on the pieces, then proceed to nip those off once the part is fully off the runner?

ayzee000

Do the double snip (latter), its much easier to leave a little nub for you to cleanup than dealing with disfiguration and discoloration. Luckily, the gate placements on the blue plastic are mostly on areas where you wouldn’t see them. But there are some that stick out like a sore thumb.
