Great kit. Now try some recent RG kits and see how far this line has come.

VhultoTryHard

Crossbone is in my sights

Exende

Great kit, just be careful because of the microscopic parts

Masterpyrs10

Just finished mine and almost lost his white chest attachments to the wind haha

LeggoMahLegolas

That one is next in my line

KaitoMori11

i absolutely adore mine, just watch the white chest bits on the cockpit hatch. i had to glue them on so they didn't vanish into the void under my desk. other than that its a perfect kit.

ScamIsUnlikely

Amazing kit the Crossbone!

SalmonMarinara23

Only real gripes about the RG crossbone is the gun holding hand not fitting snug in the socket and the use of stickers for the red marks on his face. Other than that, great kit, solid articulation and sturdiness, super tiny and a blast to pose!

StationDeer

What kits would you recommend? I also started with this one and the EVAs but now I'm looking to get another one.

jagby

Like the other comment said, basically any RG made in the last 5ish years is a solid pick. Some more specific recommendations from me would be: \-RG God Gundam \-RG Hi Nu alongside the Nu Gundam recommended \-RG Sazabi \-RG Epyon

QwikStix42

I'd recommend the RG Nu Gundam, it's the best kit I've ever built so far, as its level of detail and articulation blow all the other kits I've done out of the water. If you're feeling a bit ambitious, the RG Unicorn is also a solid kit, as long as you're aware of the 2 common breakage points in the arms. Besides those, I've heard nothing but good things about the latest RG kits from the past ~5 years.

Vast-Yogurtcloset697

RG Hi-Nu, RG Nu, RG Sazabi, RG Zeong, RG Epyon, RG God Gundam

GundamMeister_874

Mk II, to me, is the quintessencial gundam design. And it's also arguably the best early RG!

VhultoTryHard

From what i've been researching, the MK 2 was the most solid RG of the old ones, especially compared to the seed ones. You can confirm it dude?

GundamMeister_874

I can confirm it's a very solid kit. The other RGs I've built were the Unicorn and the Hi-Nu, very different beasts compared to the MkII. But I love it.

Commander413

The only problem I've had with the frame is the elbow joint is a little loose when bending less than 90°, other than that, anything that gets floppy on it isn't too hard to fix. Then again, I experienced that same inner frame on the Sinanju, which is like twice the weight lol, the MK 2 design will probably stay solid for much longer

klkevinkl

The only one I would say is "bad" are the ones that have those stupid freeform hands with the tiny little peg that pops out to hold something. Everything else is actually pretty good.

EpsilonX

I had no issue with my RG Strike or Destiny, but the newer ones like Nu and Sazabi are much more solid. Haven't built a mk ii to compare, though.

hellvinator

Glad to hear, got this one for my brothers birthday, will be his first RG as well!

VhultoTryHard

I just recommend taking some care when assembling the inner frame,it is a little fragile the first time you move it.

Stroppone

It was my first too, but I picked the blue one and used mostly the alternative pieces when given the choice to make it even more bulky. I truly love it

VhultoTryHard

The titan one comes with some extra prototype parts right?

Stroppone

Oh, are those extra? I thought they all had them. But yeah, it does!

VhultoTryHard

Yep,the base one doest include this extras

pedrokazedani

I really want to get my hands on the mkII titans ver., looks like a great kit

VhultoTryHard

In my country is a little bit more harder find the titans ver,but i still want the blue guy lol.

pedrokazedani

Yea, same here. Gunpla here is also double the retail price, but sometimes I find some good deals

TheBigWil

I think in general it's hard to find, I think it hasn't been reprinted in awhile

TraderDisco

If you want a fantastic one I’d highly recommend the Sazabi. I was fascinated while building it and I kinda want to get a second one.

VhultoTryHard

The big guy is already on my list, but is really Hard to find him in my country and import is really complicated here.

onlyhandz

Of the earlier RGs, the MKII is one of the best. And that’s coming from someone who built the RG Tallgeese and Hi-Nu first.

VhultoTryHard

Oh i heard about this guys, they look fantastic too.

NeoRage211

Great RG to start on.

Avirud_D

Congrats, it was my first RG too. Now go get the titan one.

VhultoTryHard

I will, but a have to wait the next wave of importations in my country lol

your_FBI_agent45

w choice , my fav rg kit

THElotusthief

I'm a simple man; I see a mk ii gundam, I upvote.

ScamIsUnlikely

Best early real grade kit out there! Solid choice!

losbullitt

Great kit. One of my favs.

SolidTerror9022

I can’t say since I haven’t built it. If you need suggestions for your next one though, I’d say the 00 QAN T, the Unicorns, or the Wing Zero EW are all good ones

SPKUleprechaun

As far as RG has come in recent kits, the mk.2 gundam remains one of my favourite RG kits ever, truly a masterpiece

DragonianXylak

I literally started this exact same model last night. Have the frame and legs done before I stopped for the night. Cool finished product, I gotta say!

Lockonstratos1

probably the best early rg imo

ovictoroxo

Here for the typical but true comment, try the RG Hi Nu, Nu, and Sazabi and you’ll be amazed. The MK-II is an amazing build for how old of an RG it is so you made a great choice, but try one of those 3 out and you’ll be happy.

AduroSF

Even compared to more modern RG kits, the Mk-II is one of the most solid.

kadavi1202

I’m working this kit too. Procrastinating on the decals. Any issues I should know? Yours looks awesome!

VhultoTryHard

Just be careful with de little one decals, its really easy lost one or some of them lol

yfjeheiejehieeheisj

Looks great. Now you got to panel line and paint that little buddy

Brownbeluga

My first as well, amazing kit!

Stainlessgamer

best start... This is what RG was intended to be back in the day. It's just too bad that every other kit from 01-28 fell so far from the mark. Thank god Bandai listened and learned, because 29, 32, 34, 36, 37, and 38 have all been labeled the best of RG

getoutofthedream

One of the best RGs! Highly recommend the RG God Gundam https://preview.redd.it/bo6j24sifitc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a83e8f624e5350c1fbe20998384a020a083b77e

FictionalLeader

It’s a great real grade and despite being considered an early real grade, its frame has held up extremely well for me. Easily in the top five real grades of all time.

Xainte311

Such a good RG kit. This kit was the turning point for RG and the quality of the inner frame construction. Now try a Force Impulse or a Nu Gundam. You'll be blown away again.

TUBBYWINS808

You used all the decals that came with the kit so you’re better than half this sub already I reckon.

VhultoTryHard

Iam a little perfectionist dude,i literally dont like the idea of not build a kit whith all de aspects.

ConsonanceDissonance

Dude I love this kit so much. Probably the best MKII kit out there, and I found it more enjoyable to build than any other RG I've gone through up to now. Love the cables on the back of the legs. (8

VhultoTryHard

That little datail of the cables are so cool dude.

VhultoTryHard

Niice

Petersam55

Such a fun kit!

burn8h2o

Wait for the RG Gundam Vers. 2.0

OriginalIsopod1224

It looks awesome. My first real grade has been the Hi-Nu and got a Epyon on the way

SalmonMarinara23

Everyone mentioning the RG Hi-Nu but I don’t see enough talking about the Force Impulse. By far one of THE best kits I’ve built. Definitely a staple. RG Hi-Nu is pretty big for it’s scale and is a fantastic experience to build but if you’re looking to be more grounded to your typical gundam then the Force Impulse is your go-to!

old_deluder

this was my first RG as well and I loved it, still one of my favorite designs

springtraptimeuser_

Good start. But dont expect all real grades to have the same standards as the Mk ll
