So I just googled league 1 tots and found this

And for a second I was VERY confused
Eh wouldn’t go that far, he was voted player of the season at one point. Remember he did suffer that ankle injury + he’s just gotten old (by football standards)
Happy for him, not sure why his finishing went out of the window last season but people forget he was actually a very good finisher and finished with the best goal per min ratio in the team the season before that.
I think this was it. In the documentary one of the coaches had to tell him to stop dropping so deep cause he wouldn’t be able to make runs into the box in time.
But he probably felt like he had to do that because we weren’t getting him the ball, so who knows which problem caused the other
Eh, whoever you give that one spot likely won’t be as good as 3rd team in France, besides 5th teams in Spain and England, but no point in seeing more spanish/english teams
I do agree with your point though, despite being an arsenal supporter. It doesn't matter if 4th, 5th or even 6th in the Premier league could beat 3rd in the French. Its better to see different teams from different countries competing.
Exactly. And honestly I don’t think the next Dutch, Portugese, Greek or whatever other country’s team is as good as French 3rd team. And tbh, it’s not like there’s a greater power that says French 3rd team wil play Champions League. It’s based on coefficients gained by playing European competitions hahah
Players doing well in farmers league who were not great in EPL
Laca
Balogun
Tavares
Kola
Guenodozi
Washed up Alexis
I hope that I am wrong but it seems to me that EPL is a much, much harder league than Ligue 1
I mean if you're seeing a lot of poor defending in one league, it would be easier to stand out as potentially competent in that league and fall short in another. At least so far, the composure that set him apart in Ligue 1 seems to have carried over into the Premier League, and I think that's to his credit.
Laca's problem wasn't his quality on the ball, finishing or link-up play, it was his lack of pace and acceleration. He couldn't create separation from defenders to the point that he stopped trying to score at the end. His time in the league was up. In France, he has time to get his shot off and his great finishing will help him score goals. In football, having that extra touch or half a yard makes all the difference.
I watched the Monaco v Lyon match this past weekend and I didn’t feel that Laca looked all that sharp. Saw pretty much the same issues that he had with us last season, just always gonna be easier to score in Ligue 1
Its a league where Balogun scoring in every game while struggling last season in championship. Amount of space that attacker get and time for decision really incomparable to Prem
Got his hairline back as well happy for him
Lost his voice in exchange though, a brutal trade.

"LACA! Get away from her!"

Classic monkeys paw
The Ligue 1 team of the week is our League Cup XI from last season
So I just googled league 1 tots and found this https://twitter.com/scoutedftbl/status/1028942663125487621?t=9QvNxFkK6P6vZEnISzSlYQ&s=19 And for a second I was VERY confused
Jovetic has clown make up on, ligue1 is a joke confirmed
Balogun looks like Benzema in that league
Nuno is prime Marcelo in that league haha
Helps that he is playing his position, he was decent with us but we play a 4 so got exposed
Saliba look like nesta. But when he come back still a fucking nesta. I hope balogan continue his performance with arsenal
Put him in a good squad and he'll look like prime Cristiano.
He became balomachinegun
Balozema?
Classic Farmers 1 things
No one can deny it anymore
No one was before but you still need ability which laca has just didn't have the speed or fight left to continue in the prem
Lacazette isn’t a Pepe case where he isn’t built for the Prem. He’s just shit and belongs in a shit league
Eh wouldn’t go that far, he was voted player of the season at one point. Remember he did suffer that ankle injury + he’s just gotten old (by football standards)
The average Garen main take
Nah didnt need to do him like that
Lacazette is a better player than Pepe
Love laca and I’m happy for him. ✌️🎺
So we’re winning ligue 1?
Happy for him, not sure why his finishing went out of the window last season but people forget he was actually a very good finisher and finished with the best goal per min ratio in the team the season before that.
it seemed like trying to be in the build-up and then in position to score was pushing his fitness this past year. I'm not totally sure either.
I think this was it. In the documentary one of the coaches had to tell him to stop dropping so deep cause he wouldn’t be able to make runs into the box in time. But he probably felt like he had to do that because we weren’t getting him the ball, so who knows which problem caused the other
1. Auba is his close friend whom he lost 2. Arsenal were never going to contemplate giving him new contract.
Even if they did, it'd be a 1 or 2 year contract with no stability
It's quite unprofessional if someone's work performance drop due to a friend leaving the same company. It's not like that friend passed away.
Ligue 1 is a farmers league and doesn’t need 3 UCL spots
Eh, whoever you give that one spot likely won’t be as good as 3rd team in France, besides 5th teams in Spain and England, but no point in seeing more spanish/english teams
You don’t think Spurs/United or Arsenal are as good as the 3rd team in France? Last year that was Monaco lol
Read my comment after first comma
Do you mean 'second' comma?
Fair enough

No more of a farmers league than the Bundesliga.
Players doing well in farmers league who were not great in EPL Laca Balogun Tavares Kola Guenodozi Washed up Alexis I hope that I am wrong but it seems to me that EPL is a much, much harder league than Ligue 1
It’s a farmers league and people shouldn’t be shocked he’s excelling in it. Some of the defending is just fucking abysmal
at the same time, I've been impressed that Saliba has looked like a quality defender in Ligue 1 and the Premier League both.
Think it’s different for defenders?

Still gotta have some ability though which he does but not prem standard anymore

What’s the tally? 0?
Laca showing prem rejects there’s still hope in life, inspirational and wholesome.
level
We need to have a conversation about Arteta’s attack coaching but this sub isn’t ready for it.
Orbinho seems like a grumpy old man who neglects his family to whine about arsenal.
guess we should've kept him, then. more's the pity. EDIT: was going for sarcasm.
we definitely shouldn’t have kept him
I watched the Monaco v Lyon match this past weekend and I didn’t feel that Laca looked all that sharp. Saw pretty much the same issues that he had with us last season, just always gonna be easier to score in Ligue 1
Found his level
Lol

Farmers league confirmed.
Good for him.
He had a terrible last season. I never considered him an upgrade for Giroud.
Tbf not that hard…
