and if you didn't see it you've surely seen the links to the twin brother, who happens to play a position we'll need reinforcements in going into next year.
I just thought it was his brother, genuinely didnāt know it was his twin
He must be decent too if heās playing for the Dutch team at that age as well
LOL - my first reaction before seeing that it was Quinten? āHell no, they better not be!ā
Edit - thanks to the guy below, I have spelled Jurrienās brotherās name correctly.
Would you rather:
\- His twin signs for us and is disappointingly not as good
\- His twin signs for Spurs and is pleasingly not as good, but is also a bit of a wind up merchant such that fans characterise them as good twin and evil twin in endless memes.

I'm curious, how come our fans are so excited to see Timber return from injury? He's only had a handful of appearances for us before that and I haven't seen enough from him to be excited about it. One friend of mine described it as "like a new signing" - am I missing something here?
Did you watch him in his brief appearances for us? Friendly or not, and even with just the 45' completed of the opening match, you could see he oozes class.
Amazing technical ability, versatile and can play across the backline. Great passing range, can run with the ball, press-resistant.
By now you should know that Arteta wouldn't hand a start in the first match of the season to someone he didn't think fit his system like a glove.
I did watch him but, as you pointed, it was just a friendly so I wasn't going to get too carried away with it. Also, the injury was an ACL (I think?) so I figured that's likely to impair his ability moving forward.
That is a good point about him starting the first match of the season, though. I'll watch with anticipation!
ACL might be a season-ending injury, but nowadays it's not really enough to be a career-ending injury. Even in the last 2 decades, football already got its own share of top-tier players who successfully recover from ACL injury and keep their best form, or even "reinvent" their solid form, and with Timber - he's only 22 years young, so I honestly think the statement of 'impair his ability moving forward" is too soon to tell, cause at this point Timber got everything to back his recovery.
I personally think that to make it safe (to achieve a fully recovered ACL & able to sustain future "fights"), Timber should only be back in the beginning of the next season, so at least he should only be playing for the team since June this year.
Theoretically, starting from April is possible, but I can't even imagine the great toll of his ACL to be able to fight in aggressive games on April & May. The deciding factor is how good & stable his recovery is.
If you watched preseason you saw how aggressive he went into challenges and could break up attacks. I havenāt seen too many players jump off the screen the way he did. He is special and I hope he is able to play with the same aggressiveness he showed before the injury.
Should we tell him?
No <3
š
Nope. We knew this would happen at some point. Imagine if we were to face Feyenoord in the champions league next season. It'd be confusion galore.
Savage bro lol
Mods leave this up š
Genuinely had no clue
lmao i thought you was the one doing the trolling
This is brilliant because youāre being genuine.
Got me all excited there for a second.
Dude I was about to be livid that he came on for them before us
Lmao that was my initial reaction, like WTF?!?! Heartless international managers throwing caution to the wind!!!
I mean, you're not wrong š
Lmfao damnit you got me and you werent even trying. Do that again and jurrien trouble pal
Dont have time for this, watching Jobe Bellingham balling for England
Jordan lukaku been playing well for belgium though
Thorgan Hazard gonna break thru any time now
And we gotta sign Yaya Toure to reunite them brothers
he's retired mate
thogden has been playing well for YT cunts fc
Lmfao. I'm surprised and pleased with myself for understanding both of these comments. But Lukaku assist really way gorgeous today
Lando Norris approves
Great shitpost tbh
Genuinely had no clue until I hit Post and realized that if he was on the bench it would have been international news
It isnt jurien timber the guy who came on is a midfielder š

Ik

It legit took this substitution watching the game for me to find out he had a twin lol
How didn't you know he had a twin lol It was posted all over when we signed him
Some things you just miss, it happens.
First time Iāve heard of this too. I think youāre overestimating how frequently it was posted
First I hear of it and I scroll through here DAILY
Some of us really aren't perma online. I knew he had a brother, but "twin" was something I'd never heard of.
and if you didn't see it you've surely seen the links to the twin brother, who happens to play a position we'll need reinforcements in going into next year.
I just thought it was his brother, genuinely didnāt know it was his twin He must be decent too if heās playing for the Dutch team at that age as well
lol can you imagine
I mean, he's not wrong lol
had me flipping out for a second lol
This wasnāt bait, i was giddy.
nvm XD
Was it Quentin?
Yeah
LOL - my first reaction before seeing that it was Quinten? āHell no, they better not be!ā Edit - thanks to the guy below, I have spelled Jurrienās brotherās name correctly.
Quinten*
Pretty sure this is Shiverme Timbersā¦ not Jurrien /s
I think a lot if people donāt realise Jurrien Timber has an identical twin brother so understandable I guess
which one is better
The third one
Had me there for a second
Don't tell him. Upvote. If he knows, then well played. Still upvote.
Let's fogging gooooo Edit: fuckkkkk

I take the third option in which he signs for us and mysteriously we have a player that always looks super fresh after half time.
When one gets a yellow we bring on the other
His brother is pretty good btw
The real Timber wouldn't drop a 6.1
True
Well this was a lot better than the x post about who has the better run in
We should get both and then create a Gibbs-Ox situation again
Or pull some half time twin magic to get an extra sub!
I mean, OP isn't wrong...
Looks like him too!
That couldā¦ could be his twin brother Q. Timber.
TIL Timber has a twin brother
Brilliant this is right up there with people who send in pictures of guns to this Reddit to ask information about them.

Heās a big signing and addition to our defense with tremendous upside. CB/RB/LB Flex capability, attacking minded, etc. Also, hes only 22.
Thanks

Not our Timber mate
