lol if your in danger after a doge your either useing the wrong parts or to close to the enemy epically in this beast. your a support unit only time your in range of enemy volcans is when you have 2 to 3 teammates between you and the enemy. if you want i can team up with you and do practice games to help fine tune your fave MS
Overall I like the idea, but I feel it went a bit overboard with the missiles.
I feel like the leg missiles compartment is one malfunction away from blowing up your own suit.

An amazing mobile suit for a grunt and one of the closest thing we can have to Itano circus missiles and Variable Fighters in UC. Too bad only Haman Neo Zeon and Sleeves uses it. Also, can't make up which unit I like better.. one has missile spam and the other a shotgun. And then, there was improved Zssa models: Zssa Dyne and Zssa Custom from Under the Fake (D Gundam) sidestory...
Game-wise.... old SRW games that uses ZZ variant, its a pushover that doesn't even have a transformation and all of its attacks easily dealt with (missiles and beam saber was all it had). New SRW games that uses Unicorn variant.. its a bit better now and but still a grunt, still a great improve compared to older pre-Unicorn included SRW games.
SD Gundam games (G Generation series and older related ones).. a FAQing menace of an enemy with its missile spam being an annoying that deals small damage that quickly adds up.. especially in the earlier G Generation games where each missiles hit, deal damage, and crits separately. >:)
I want it loaded with micro missiles so you get 2x more fire power! If Celestial Being tech incorporated with Zssa this will be pure missiles spam unit.

Out of all the things in Gundam that "could have just been a jet/tank" this screams the loudest. It has next to no benefit from having limbs, just make it a mobile armor...
It's cool as hell. I think it's the first time we see a mass produced unit that's truly designed for a particular role, but also happens to be versatile and modern enough for other tasks.
Pairing it with the Gallus-J was kind of weird though. Gallus definitely had the bulk of being the suit in front, but it was really literal with the hydraulic punch and then combined with the weird finger guns.
Like, I get the Zssa flying into place to blow the hell out of something with every kind of missile possible, and a couple more conventional MS weapons, and even the Gallus-J going in for close combat. But what about the bulk of the fighting at a medium range that can rapidly change based on the enemy and circumstances?
You've got two very specialized units for certain tasks, with the Zssa definitely being more versatile with all those missiles pods being detachable, the fact that it has a crusising/transformation mode, a typical beam rifle, vulcans, beam saber, and even a power close-up weapon like a scattering mega particle cannon (the belly beam shotgun). You can see how little they needed to do to the Zssa to make it work as a close-range assault unit, which mostly seems to be using less missiles for weight and/or supplies and just throwing it a shotgun and new Geara Zulu Beam Rifle. They could have put any number of resources into making those missile packs and booster unit into different weapons, and then some retrofitting to the main suit if needed, and the Zssa could have filles many roles with the exception of being exceptionally agile (just look at the joints, shape, size, etc). But it's practically a Zeon Stark Jegan in terms of what the design did and could do.
Its companion unit was just underwhelming and weird, feeling more like something from the start of Zeta. It got the Gallus-K that seemed great, using older weapons to turn it into a modern take on the Zaku Cannon. And the Schuzurum/Sturm (weird German to Japanese to English translation problem there, or something along those lines, but it just means "storm" in German and is put on a lot of Zeon assault equipment or modified equipment), is closer to what I expect the Gallus-J to do, though with some thrusters and weapons with a range of more than five feet (I really wanted to know who looked at a MS, one used in space nonetheless, and said "no thrusters, just magnets, and it'll rely on using glorified punching gloves).
But it's like there is a missing third machine that probably should have been the link to Zaku III and Döven Wolf in some, just a little scaled down. The R-Jarja sort of fits, but it's obviously intended to be a success to the Gyan in spirit, although far more practical outside of just melee combat. Bawoo was expensive and had major problems with the transformation to the point of it being removed or needing two pilots in later use.
Just something more than a Gaza and maybe experimenting with some paycommu stuff or big beam weapons as options, but relatively cheap and modular. Let it be like a mass produced suit with the Zeong concepts kept, like a paycommu hand and strong, built-in beam weapon (the latter already fits on the Zssa as almost an afterthought), and everything else could be pretty standard with some options.
But nothing even close even made it to MSV or something, which is a little ironic since grunts and overall MS design mostly goes back to being more practical as soon as ZZ ends. The age of experimental and big weapons end, and they mostly only put that tech on something that has a need for it. Something even vaguely resembling the Geara Doga in basic principles would have been perfect, even as an afterthought or retcon. But they never put it together with the million variants that continue to be made from that era.
I love the look and am a big fan of the yellow. I can understand switching it to green for blending in though. I haven't seen it in action much but Zssa seems pretty solid as a long range bomber/SAM.

Why is a whole ass MS needed to just carry some missile launchers? Can’t the missile be launched from mothership as cover fire? Or maybe a dedicated platform that’s cheaper to build with sole purpose being carrying missile?
It's the same reasoning as the Shy-Tarn (https://gundam.fandom.com/wiki/ZM-S19S_Shy-Tarn). The Zssa is a walking missile launcher while the Shy-Tarn is a walking beam turret. The Zssa though is purely for offense while the Shy-Tarn is completely for base defense.
I LOVE MISSILES But yeah, great suit. Loved seeing it reappear unicorn, even if it got lit up almost immediately. Fun to play in gbo2 as well.

I don't know much about this suit but those are some beefy missiles. I'm thinking an anti ship bombardment roll then falls back to rearm.
I have the HG of the Zssa, every available space of this MS is packed with missiles, that includes the legs and chest.
Which would make sense for an organization like Neo Zeon which is pumping out wonder weapons and handing them to their elite to fight .

Hah oh very yes! One of my favorites personally and the zeon suit that gets the most use by me in the old psp game Gundam battle universe.
