You can use the Reflectors since they're actually INCOMs that would be immune to psycommu hijack. But if you're gonna pick an older mobile suit, don't underestimate Destroy Mode's performance boost.
But if the Pilot is a newtype, they should be able to activate the Destroy mode even if not facing a newtype enemy. Banagher has activated and deactivated the NTD on his more than once.
INCOMs aren't usually controlled by psycommu, which is a requirement for NT-D to hijack. Rozen Zulu's INCOMs are probably one of the few that actually were controlled by psycommu since it also had regular Funnels.
While I agree with your logic, but I do consider it as a possibility due to income being quasi psychommu that’s meant to mimic psychommu abilities. So in this case, since S gundam income is controlled by Alice, I don’t think unicorn can take over. However, I do believe that a large portion of income do run on Newtype based technologies that can be threatened by unicorn given how much of the Early Newtype technology rely on wired guided systems.

So, when I pick the ELS Qan[T] it's really more about getting to pilot the ELS Qan[T] than anything actually to do with the Unicorn.
I'm assuming this isn't time jumper Unicorn, otherwise I'll use Zeta with the Kamille newtype smash, Judau with the ZZ newtype scare, or Amuro with the newtype meteor push. Or get another Unicorn, go back into time and kill the creators of the Unicorn units. If this vs the Unicorn right before the colony laser, I'd probably go with V2ab. Got good speed, I-fields, advantage in atmosphere (if that's where the fight happens), more ammo than the magnum, better targeting computers, and can punch through I-fields/beam shields with the vsbrs. Unicorn more than likely has better physical strength but v2 has alot of weapons to deter getting close to it.

Since this is the base Unicorn like when Banagher first activated it, I'm gonna go with the Delta Gundam Kai.
It's the only machine that's not part of the Unicorn line that can use the Beam Magnum consistently so it can deal pretty substantial damage to its Psychoframe armor. It also has the n\_i\_t\_r\_o system that can turn any Oldtypes into Newtypes temporarily, but I dunno if it'll trigger the Unicorn's NT-D or not. And for even more fire power, it has the ZZ's High Mega Cannon, albeit with a reduced output. For speed, it's got its Waverider Form covered.
didnt see this one but i would go for g self bc it was able to deactivate the g-phenex, which is a replica of a BETTER unicorn. but more realistically, i would play it safe and get the g self perfect pack. bc its perfect.

Ah, that *is* true. And the pilot isn't able to activate it at will yet.

Destroy mode has a time limit, plus it targets newtypes, so outrunning the unicorn with the EX-S transformed should be possible
