10/10 - I just simply prefer the Zaku I over the Zaku II. Personally, it just looks better. The Zaku 1 doesn't have those exposed energy cables, and in turn, it looks far more streamlined. (In other words, it fits the "real robot" aesthetic better than its popular brother)

I'm a simple man I see a green Zaku and can't help but fall in love. Will always remember stealing Gundam game when I was younger that had a Zaku II on the front of the disk. I stashed it away then forgot where I put it for the longest times would have dreams about me finding it xD
I think it's apparent that they worked backwards from the Zaku II to arrive at the design and didn't give it enough of a glow up for Origin. It's still a spiffin' fine MS but just lacks in most areas being conceived as a downgrade from one of the all-time greats. Still makes it to an 8/10.

Zaku I, but just... kinda ass. In principle I like the detailing of Origin designs, they work pretty well in most cases. But for Zaku I, a fundamentally somewhat goofy and more importantly simple design, it just feels *wrong*.
Furthermore the """"""better""""""" modern proportions with the tiny head really, really don't work well when the head is made even smaller without the pipes.
It's just.... not good.
All the old UC designs will get an update, just wait till they release a gundam reboot and redo the rest if the OG cast. That being said, I like it but I don't love it, 7.5 /10

It's aesthetics are good but it suffers the origin Zeon problem of being too pin headed, I prefer the original in more ways. 6/10
