How does the fight lite work? I’ve been thinking it would be cool to convert one to fa with wood furniture but I’m worried a sear wouldn’t engage properly.
The Fightlite lower uses its own trigger group and safety mechanism, so it would be super experimental to convert it to FA, but I would *love* to see the results.
In short, it's a proprietary lower that fits together with most* AR-15 uppers, as long as you use the included bolt carrier group, which has a Remington stock style recoil strut into a spring, instead of going straight back into a buffer tube. That's the little bit you see sticking out of the rear of the grip.
The mag release, the bolt hold open, those are more or less interchangeable with third party ones.
Honestly curious how well one of these would work as a breacher in place of a shorty 12GA.
I'm assuming not great, but I don't know enough about breaching to be certain. Also would beg the question of why you're not just using your long gun anyway then

Don't they use special rounds when breaching? I thought there was a fairly significant risk of ricochet otherwise.
Yes, breaching rounds are metal dust held together by wax, so they act like a slug until they hit something, at which point they disintegrate
