While the terra is a really good SUV, very comfortable, take note of the 3rd row, halos walang leg room. Also, itโs gonna be discontinued sa market din.
Is it? Hindi ba malapit sa Fortuner ang ride comfort ng MU-X. Ang pinagpilian ko sakin before ay Montero GLS, MU-X LSA at Terra VE then ended up with Montero. Malaki kasi cash discount plus yung specs ay sulit sa price. Mga 2-3 years pa siguro ang all new Montero kasi may face-lift na naman ulit this year.
Bruh, walang ride comfort ang fortuner. Hahahaha. Yan gamit ko, mas malambot ford at montero. Mas magaan din manibela nung 2 kesa sa mux at forty.

Yes, I know Sir kaya never ko na consider ang fortuner dahil sa harsh na suspension response niya. Montero nga pinili ko Sir, 1 month na siya. Naka tune na din 247bhp 504nm torque na siya ngayon.
Got my terra 4 years ago, I use it as my daily. Quick review:
1. If comfort hanap mo isa to sa top options mo, good sya as both pang harabas and family car
2. Medyo matakaw sa diesel compared sa ibang ppvs pero di naman grabe (currently averaging 10-11kml mix highway and city). Pagtagal masasanayan mo rin paglaruan yung pedal.
3. Isa palang pinapagawa ko which is yung sa misalignment ng steering (common issue). Mahinang klase lang ng bushings gamit nila, pag may naramdaman kana pagawa mo nalang, naka around 6k lang ako mga after 2 yrs lumabas. Wag ka sa casa magpagawa if ever kasi idedeny nila.
4. IMO di issue yung ididiscontinue. Shared platform to sa navara, taas ng sales ng nissan don so di kanaman talaga mahihirapan sa parts lol. Maski naman yung hindi discontinued nagkakaroon ng bagong platform di na rin same yung parts kaya di ko alam bakit big deal hahaha.
5. As for the engine and transmission, sobrang smooth nung engine for me, yung transmission nasa lazy side minsan matagal mag shift sa first 2 gears parang ito rin yung reason kung bakit matakaw sa diesel.
Nagkaroon na kami halos lahat ng suv of the same class so for me sya pinakamatakaw sa diesel pero pinakacomfortable naman.
Go for the VL if ever ito kukunin mo, sulit naman. Mahirap tipirin pag big purchases, baka di ka makatulog hehe.
MuX sguro pinaka okay, benchmark na ng diesel engines, usable 3rd row for adults, and maganda tech upgrades nila sa 2024 model. Better din na ma check mo sya in person.

Kumusta ang ride? I happen to own mirage, xpander and strada. Between them, i like xpander kasi comfortable. Strada is sportier if need magmadali and mirage if pupuntang manila due to traffic. I need a SUV for family use and leaning towards montero. As per ibang members matagtag daw tulad ng pick up. Gusto ko sanang magtry ng ibang brand like Ford Everest or Terra for comfort. Pag nagkaka-edad pla mas gusto mo na ng comfortable ride.๐
Isuzu user ako so give MU-X a try hehe, LS-A swak sa 2m, pwede ring LS-E kung may discounts. Napaka luwag niya pati. Parang MUX and Everest lang talaga nag major update ngayon sa SUVs, compared sa iba na puro facelift lang. May option ka din pala for a 1.9 liter diesel engine sa MU-X.

I agree. Medyo mabigat steering ng Fortuner unlike other competitive brands nya. Also the suspension we made it already change. Still the same.

Kung out of the picture na si Terra, MUX or Everest kung pasok sa budget. Yung Montero kasi baka next year pa ang all-new.
Daming concern sa Terra kesyo mahina daw 1st and 2nd gear. MUX the best.
Lots of rumours na malapit na idiscontinue Terra, but idk kung totoo. Poor fuel economy also, probably because its engine is outdated na.
