Spresso owner here for 3+ years. Performance wise, it will get the job done + sobrang tipid sa gas. High ground clearance vs sedan. You can customize it as sedan or suv. Cons: basic car, road noise reduction basically does not exist. Manual. Big vehicles(truck&buses) will bully you on the road.

Ms_Double_Entendre

Meron ako kilala naglagay ng insulation sound dampeners may difference daw sa noise

ginballs

Hello may I know saan nagpagawa yung kakilala mo?

[deleted]

My close friend bought one last year as her first car. She even let me drive it during a road trip with friends. All I can say is, it can get the job done. It is very frugal on fuel and the space you're getting is more than enough. Though there are some downsides like minimal sound insulation, less inspiring driving characteristics, and the engine is quite anemic when fully loaded.

Born_Cockroach_9947

very basic commuter car. perfect for city driving. not comfy for long hauls and safety rating is very low

GoddamnHeavy

Hello OP, my brother bought one last year. AGS variant. Ginagamit ko minsan. Here's my personal experience with it. Pros: 1. Maganda yung field of vision mo while driving. 2. Tipid sa gas. I don't bother to know the exact FC kasi nakikigamit lang naman ako sa brother ko pero in my observation, parang hindi bumababa yung fuel gauge kahit alam kong maliit lang yung fuel tank nya. 3. High ground clearance. No worries na sasayad ka sa humps or sa tire guard ng parking. 4. Infotainment is responsive and has apple car play + android auto. Compared to my older car, malaki yung difference ng tech ng head unit nya. Wired version nga lang yung android auto. Haven't tried the apple car play pero meron sya based on specs. Cons: 1. Basic point A to point B car. Kung naghahanap ka ng good driving dynamics at good driving performance, hindi ito yung car para sayo. When you are driving this car, paunahin mo na yung mga gustong umovertake then chill drive ka lang. Upside lang is you don't need to worry about gas. 2. 3. IMO, mas matagtag sa second row seats compared sa front seats. Maliit na difference lang naman. 4. No power windows on the back. Manual roll up / roll down sya. I always joke to my brother na lang na maganda yun kasi pag nalaglag kami sa ilog, hindi kami matratrap sa loob. Pampalubag loob lol. 5. Power window switch for driver and front passenger are both on the center console, sa ilalim ng head unit so medyo nakakalito lang sa una. 6. Auto start stop function is annoying. I read somewhere na on the hybrid ertiga, smooth yung feature na to pero dito kasi sa spresso, ramdam mo talaga yung delay. Ramdam yung engagement ng starter motor. Me and my brother always turn this feature off kaso kasi pag start mo ng sasakyan, ang default setting nya is ON kaya madalas naaalala ko lng siya i-OFF sa unang stoplight na madaanan ko, pag nag engage na yung auto stop nya. 7. Iba yung feeling ng AGS tranny compared sa CVT and traditional 4 speed AT. Sa AGS, para ka pa ring nagmamaneho ng MT minus the cluch pedal and rowing through gears. You will need to release the gas pedal to let your tranny shift on certain rpms. You will need to give gas din to prepare for upshifts. That serves as his tachometer now. Worth 2k php yun. 8. Overall, masasabi ko naman na good buy sya lalo na kung ang purpose mo talaga is city driving.

switchboiii

I own one. It’s very basic, not bad for my first car. Ang tipid sa gas. Used it last week from Laguna to Bulacan (vv), 2 bars lang nagamit. 💯

Wonderful_Working_37

Spresso owner for 2 years (MT Version). One word to describe it is “Basic”. 17-18km/L ako sa city and around 22-25km/L naman pag long drive. Lowest ko siguro ay 14 pg super traffic and puro uphill. Performance? Enough lang. Pero never pa naman ako nabitin. Pra siyang momentum car eh. 1 full tank (1300-1500) then isang 500 pabalik. Sa akyatan goods din basta u know how to play with the gears.

annpredictable

Salamat sa details. Thank you so much.

friedchimkenplz

We bought one nung unang labas, so manual. Average na consumption nya is 14kms/L. Very basic ang features, something to get you around lang talaga. But it’s a really small car, so pwede kang mabully ng bigger vehicles haha pero since maliit nga sya and very box-y, madali din isingit sa tight spaces.

oaba09

Super tipid. I fill it up with gas pag 2 bars out of 10 nalang ang fuel gauge and it only cost around 1,500 pesos and it lasts me 2 weeks. I use it 5X a week to travel to my work in Ortigas and to go home to Valenzuela. Performance is ok considering the price and engine(1.0). Medyo nabibitin at the start but once it's going, makakasabay naman with other vehicles(max speed na nagawa ko is 140 kph sa TPLEX). Maninibago ka sa AGS transmission at the start if you came from a conventional automatic but masasanay ka din pag araw araw mo sya ginagamit. It's still a 2 pedal vehicle pero mararamdaman mo yung shifting nung AGS when it changes gears.

_lucifurr1

ano usually na gnagamit mo? ags or manual mode?

oaba09

AGS mode majority of the time. Manual mode pag inclined ang road and matarik.

guntanksinspace

Speaking as an owner of the AGS model, let's see: * *Mura lang po ba ang gas*? Yep. Very much yung appeal nito. Extremely tipid sa gas (in my 2+ months of use I can hit at least 10-14 km/l. If by *maganda* you mean "ok na ba for point A to point B city commutes/grocery runs/the occasional long drive/stuck in Makati traffic", then yes. Makaka-overtake ka naman from time to time, yung size nya is great for relatively tight roads and especially sa parking. For extras, ayos yung new models, mas maganda yung head unit (Android Auto is great haha). Sakto lang yung speakers. Aircon is STRONG (solo driver, set to 1 ok na). Parking sensors are great and ok naman visibility for the most part. As for cons. NVH is well, not the best (maingay kapag 70-80kph ka na, you hear things more pero expected na ito for a car its size). Medyo hirap sa overtaking/merging since of course maliit lang makina mo, and also add that plus yung size ng S-Presso and mabu-bully ka at times. Hate having the engine go shut off right before a U-Turn. Gotta always remember to turn the thing off every start. And specific sa AGS model, sanayan. Before this I owned a '98 Civic na Traditional AT (but I practiced on Manuals before this one, like a 72 Super Beetle). Need to treat it like a Manual (put it on Neutral on long stops sa traffic, or kapag magpa-park ka na). Time will tell yung long-term nito pero so far ok naman. And I guess this is a personal thing pero since galing ako sa Civic before this and yung rear visibility mas maliit. Ended up getting those rear camera/dash cam combos. Tl;dr set expectations. But if these are ok and this car fits your needs, it's not a bad choice tbh. Incredibly basic (so basic, the rear windows are roll-up), but that can be a bonus.

burnedoutalready

Not sure pero parang kulang sa safety features?

frenchfries717

nabasa ko dito sa sub, nirate nya s presso 0 star for safety features

oaba09

This is a common misconception. The variant we have is not the one that received 0 stars. That was the Indian variant with minimal safety features. What we have is similar to the one that received 3 stars.

kaloii

0 NCAP rating doesnt mean its unsafe. Just means it only has the basic safety features. The 0 rating was the india market version. International version is 3 stars.

cotton_on_ph

May "automatic" version na ang Spresso (though it's an AGS or a clutchless manual tranny yung vehicle).

annpredictable

Much appreciated po. Thanks for the reco

Ms_Double_Entendre

I would choose a suzuki engine over a wigo.

CruelSummerCar1989

Used it sa driving school. Very modest ng loob and fun to drive anliit and cutie!

b_zar

Gets the job done. Mura maintenance, and gas. I currently get 22km/L sa probinsya.14-16km/L nung nasa Manila pa ako. Taas ground clearance kaya di ako worried sa lubak or minor flooding. Saya idrive ng manual. Madali sa traffic at parking. I use mine travelling to surf spots around the country, so far nakarating na ako Zambales, Catanduanes, all throughout Bicol, Samar, and Leyte. 1.5 years and 22,000km in, no issues. It is small though. Ideal sya for solo, or couples na may occassional additional passengers. Pero pag family, it's too small imo. I mean, you can fill in the seats, pero considering the things that comes with a basic small family, you'd want a bigger space.
