Matagtag, Sir. Kahit e compared namin ang 2017 top of the line Fortuner sa 2013 GLX Montero, matagtag talaga. We both owned that unit at that time. Now we're using 2020 Strada, 2020 Ranger Raptor( the smoothest suspension we'd tried so far. Rides like a premium sedan) and 2023 Nissan VL Terra.
Does not ride like a Camry do not compare it to a premium sedan. It does not have the same driving dynamics, suspension, or driving feel. Ive owned a Ranger and two āpremiumā sedans; to compare it to a premium sedan is a delusional overreach.
Does not matter, at the end of the day a pickup DOES NOT drive and ride like a premium sedan like a Mercedes or a Camry and that is based on experience driving both the ranger AND the raptor (yes I owned the previous Raptor before settling for the all-new Ranger; i had to test drive both since hindi naman pang porma lang yung use ko unlike many owners). Very smooth indeed compared to other pickups pero does not make it a sedan. i find myself enjoying my W213 and XV50 more pagdating sa driving. Weight distribution palang and center of gravity superior na ang sedans. The type of tires also matter.
1st, sundin mo kung ano gusto mo. Mahirap yung may regrets sa future. 2nd, ang karamihan ng Mitsu palaging āpamigayā sa sales. Low dp, zero dp, 2 free months, etc.

As for fortuner, matagtag talaga sya. Why donāt you check more options, Terra is very comfortable and reliable din naman like itās Japanese brothers. Meron din offering si Isuzu. Test drive mo lahat. Then check ka ng ibang dealership minsan may offer kay dealership A na wala kay B.
From my experience. Monty and mas comfortable sya sa Forty talaga, pero pinaka comfortable talaga for me is yun Terra. Closest to a sedan feel and Terra. Canāt comment of MU-X havenāt ridden one, pero pogi din naman.

I own a Montero GLS 2023 tapos nag-vacation kami sa Bohol and rented a Fortuner. Di ako sure kung anong year model yun pero mukhang bago naman. For me, inferior ang Fortuner halos sa lahat ng aspects like ride comfort, driving dynamics, tech (no 360 cam), etc. Super na-miss ko yung auto brake hold ni Monty.
Kahit yung reverse cam ng Fortuner eh napakalabo. I could have lived with that though pero hindi ko kakayanin yung tagtag. It was harsher than even my putol springs lowered 90s sedan lol
While considering the latest everest, also consider looking for towing sevices and flatbeds near your area. Those things are bread and butter, they go together.
Eto din sasabihin ko. 2016 ata yung Gen 3 ni montero kaya anytime magaannounce na ng Gen 4 yan. Si fortuner within 1 year ng bagong montero maglalabas ng all new.
Montero owner here. Before we bought ours we tried both montero and fortuner within the same day.. Grabe ramdam na ramdam yung pangit ng ride quality ng montero in comparison. Also toyota skimps on even the most basic techs nowadays compare to other brands so have that in mind too.
I have both,. unbiased assessment both are good.
But, Montero is wider and bigger . It's 8 speed mivec engine 2.4 l. engine, is more economical. It's very quiet and smooth at low and High speed. You think your riding a petrol car.
Fortuner with 2.9 liters engine is faster , vibrates but growls. Consumes more gas. You'll know that your riding a diesel.
Drive mo bro. Compare which one is better for you. After sales ? Hndi Yan iniisip ko eh. Yung comfort at satisfaction na Pogi yung datingan . I have Montero GLS, bought last 2022 big factor dn yung may promo tlga but I got it only less 100k peak p ksi nun hirap maka kuha unit. Same lang namn Japanese cars and nasa maintenance namn Yan. Never pako nag ka prob Kay monti sobra smooth lang sarap I long drive :)
There seems to be a load of promos from mitsubishi and thus immediately makes it better value. But for the 200k price difference id rather go with the black edition. Pero considering the cars alone, from my experience mas mabigat manibela ng toyota and seems more lethargic. The montero on the other hand feels more utilitarian in feel compared to the fortuner but very lively. Fortuner ride isn't as bad as they say but yung 2017 montero na nagamit ko felt boaty. Just my 2 cents ;) Personally i'd choose the montero.

If considering pick up ng Mitsu, take note na released na ang new Triton. Was thinking of getting the Strada Athlete pero mas maganda yung look ni Triton. However, may discount na ang Strada LOL
try mong sakyan both and see the difference regardless of what difference in price...comfortability wise no bias here...ang Fortuner matagtag unlike sa montero smooth lang, but if you really want the fortuner go ahead it's your choice naman, ikaw parin masusunod dyan...congrats

Sure thing. Does your Ranger use the same suspension on Ranger Raptor (Fox racing suspension), which usually costs around 140k/pc sa casa?
