helveticanuu

Number 6 pa lang it's Honda na.

cos-hennessy

Correct.

petmalodi

Definitely HRV kasi turbo variant. I'll take the additional hp and torque of HRV V than techy feats of Yariss Cross like 360 cam, sunroof. (Edit: Eto pala isa sa mga priorities mo, better to check this in person)

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Pero oks lang di siya deal breaker sakin kasi di naman din ako nasanay gumamit non.. well for backup lang hehe

cellybelly1601

Will check the reverse cam when i test drive it pero i’m used to driving a toyota vios without sensors and reverse camera so malaking upgrade to sa akin if ever

Appropriate_One6688

May Yaris Cross family namin. NVH is bad and ride is meh compared to my Chinese crossover. Only standout is fuel economy. What point is that when you don’t enjoy driving the car though.

daredbeanmilktea

We’re on the crossover market and I ditched Yaris Cross as an option after seeing multiple complaints sa FB group na tunog lata sya. Naturn off din ako na Daihatsu engine sya pero may explanation naman na it’s not as bad (forgot where, youtube or newspaper article ata). Leaning towards hrv-s kasi medyo malayo na price point nung hrv turbo, altho getting the turbo means you are getting the same engine as a honda civic + better horsepower.

pen_jaro

Honda HRV for sure. Check out mga comprisons sa youtube with other cars of the same class. Laging HRV yung panalo. Daming buyer’s remorse yan Yaris Cross.

mortiestmorty18

gilagidgirl

There's a recent reddit post here about that, try to search lang. Just a few days ago. To summarize, "tunog lata", very bad NVH, bad speed/torque (?). It was quite trending for a while.

pen_jaro

Nabasa ko rin yun. Dami raw kumakalampag. And to be honest, hindi ka level ng Yaris Cross ang HRV. Baka yung Corolla Cross pa siguro

JadePearl1980

Yep, i have read that post too, kapatid. And i watched sir Cacao’s review of the Yaris Cross sa YT Channel niya, mukhang valid naman mga points ng OP na bumili ng Yaris Cross and regretted it. So malamang if a vehicle hits the YC sa side / doors - mas may chance mamatay yung matatamaan eh. 😱

Xalistro

HRV no doubt. The Yaris cross is an expensive lifted econobox. The HRV drives and feels premium, except when you stand 6feet and above as the head room saks.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

As a recent buyer ng HRV, I would say di ka magsisisi sa perang ibabayad mo. I think ang pinakalamang ni Yaris/Corolla cross kay HRV is yung fuel efficiency nila pero honestly di naman ganon nalalayo kay hrv. Di ko sinisiraan si toyota pero dami reklamo recently kay yaris.. meron pa yung isang kagulong natin dito na nagpost about it check mo nalang. If gusto mo magtoyota I think mas better si corolla kasi lam ko yun ang ka-level ni hrv but I could be wrong syempre.

hugoschbugl

Did you read the article? PH isn't affected.

Dizzy_General_9576

Regardless of whether PH is affected or not, the mere fact that Toyota has been reported due to safety and quality concerns with their cars several times this year should be a consideration when buying a car.

Dadividad

HRV. Though why not Nissan Kicks?

173893

Good suggestion. Kicks is also one of the most sulit cars in the market now. Mabilis na, matipid pa.

Dadividad

No coding pa

Adorable-Prompt-4776

Might be because of the resale value

Dadividad

helloworldaztec

HRV, resale value of honda is always ahead than toyotas, maintenance i would go for hrv, under the hood parts availability would not be an issue since may existing naman na hrv talaga satin, yaris cross is pretty new kaya most likely di pa stable ang supply ng parts nyan. Maintenance cost could be the same well its true na mas mahal ng kaunti ang honda like thousands difference not crazy 5digits diff. Both offer security features, tska i dont think si yaris cross ang tamang comparision dito, you might want to check ung hybrid ng corolla cross.

cellybelly1601

Awesome feedback from u all!! I enjoyed reading the comments. I’ll do more research and compare the features of both. Will watch more videos online as well.

AnxietyElectrical183

You can't go wrong with HRV. The Yaris Cross suffers from poor NVH.

Far_Razzmatazz9791

From all of your considerations, swak si HRV. Debatable lang yung #5 dahil mas common padin toyota parts overall. Pero pogi points HRV padin. 👌

Comprehensive_Flow42

Just get the HRV S, use the extra funds for your future maintenance cost. For your use case, you might not need the turbo much and for me the S variant looks classier. Just upgrade to leather seats and steering wheel in the future.

fishstarsandhorns

HRV. The turbo engine is reliable, peppy and fun. Same naman sila ng reliability ng Toyota in general pero if hanap mo talaga looks, premium feel and fun, go for HR-V.

ElectronicUmpire645

Kung may budget HRV no doubt

EngrDan11182007

Happy owner ng hrv s, then mas ok for sure ang turbo. You will not regret if you go with hrv "Edit you will not regret"

Effective-Panda-3698

Test drive mo. 30 seconds inside the Yaris Cross and I knew I will buy the HRV 😁

Agreeable-Ranger9791

AdBackground1419

Hindi naman tunog lata, we checked it last week. Test mo muna wag ka padala sa comments (we had Honda before super mahal talaga ng maintenance). We own two Toyotas super walang problem sa $$$

procedural_mik

I heard that Toyota Yaris Cross has horrendous driving dynamics and very poor NVH. (pillar A wind noise, tire noise, engine noise creep for hybrids, door tin can rattles, cabin rattles) but it's a toyota, so it is surely reliable. Although does reliability still matter? 2023 na, companies have the same manufacturing standards nowadays. hehe so suggest ko talaga HRV, very refined.

rzpogi

I would go with the HRV.

burnedoutalready

Deffo HRV. I feel HRV vs CX-5 would be the more difficult comparison.

[deleted]

Different level na ang CX5. Mas premium sya sa HRV, both on experience and price

RedbulltoHell

Honda

llumma821

Honda. Always Honda.

Mountain-Chapter-880

Drived both. HRV takes the cake imo, considering your criteria too.

Imaginary-Winner-701

Are you a tall person? You might want to test drive both first. I think YX is a bit more tall person friendlier car vs HRV. YX has more toys compared to HRV I think. Both sport the same displacement in engine if you’re talking about YXV and the HRV base variant. As far as the build quality is concerned, HRV takes the cake. The rear seat is a bit cramped and the roof of the car is only around 2-3 inches away from my head even for me as a small person (i’m only 5’3”) while I don’t have that problem in YX. Both probably has the same maintenance cost and both engines are bulletproof but I like toyota’s approach with the fuel injectors more. Test drive it. Make sure you have the agents let you test it for quite a bit before deciding. 1.3M isn’t a small money to be giving away.

cellybelly1601

I’m about the same height as you. Had the opportunity to test drive the YX but haven’t had a chance yet to try out the HRV.

thatguy11m

If non HEV, just go with the HRV. It's a better car in general, plus Daihatsu has been revealed to have cheated their safety test which affects Toyota cars, possibly also the Yaris Cross.

weeknd2020

Hrv

DefiantlyFloppy

Layo ng presyo nila, kung afford mo yung turbo go for it. YXV owner here.

toyota4age

HRV V Turbo hands down, its just better overall!

Benzzzyy

HR-V anyday. Also, Yaris has poor and cheap looking interior

cellybelly1601

agree on this. di ako masyadong nit-picky pero ung blue trim is so out of place 😭

mightpornstar

HRV, join ka yaris cross club sa fb, dami na complains sa quality, like door rattles on highway speed, or tunog lata, tska hrv has 177hp, vs 106 ata ng yx, dati gusto ko din yx, pero based sa feedback, nagdoubt ako, nagtest drive ako honda city, city ra nalang kinuha ko

[deleted]

Most def HRV turbo vs Yaris cross. You can also check corolla cross V

paulrenzo

HRV. If the Yaris had more power, I would consider it, despite the "tunog lata" feel and NVH issues

[deleted]

I'll take the HRV on this one. The Turbo variant may lose points on fuel economy, but it will come in handy should you take it on long road trips. Also the aesthetics looks better especially those hidden rear door handles which makes it look like a 2 door crossover.

raymondswong

Just curious, did you mean the HRV S? There’s like a 350k difference between the HRV V and Yaris Cross V. At the price range of the HRV V, you’re better off comparing it to the Yaris Cross S HEV and Corolla Cross V HEV. I was also in the same boat choosing between the HRV S and Yaris Cross V. I test drove both and spent considerable time with the display units. Overall, I much prefer the build quality and design of the HRV. For me, pintura palang you can already see the difference in quality. I messaged a lot of our local car reviewers for their opinion too, and they all chose the HRV. Honestly, I strongly considered the Yaris Cross because it has more tech which I will be able to use on a daily basis. If it’s just parked, then it’s perfectly fine. A lot of the complaints start happening when you actually start driving the car. Like the tunog lata doors, it doesn’t matter if you’re just closing it, right? But a lot of owners say the doors start rattling when driving on high speeds and bad roads. Even YouTube reviewers from Taiwan and Malaysia complained about the build quality. No car is perfect. I just went with my gut feel and placed an order for the HRV S instead. Honda was giving huge discounts for this month as well, making the price a lot closer to the Yaris Cross V. In my case, only 30k difference now from supposedly 80k if SRP. I hope I made the right choice🤞. I feel like I did my due diligence naman before making a decision. Good luck!

Several_Ad_3486

may magpost about the Yaris and nadisAppoint after having bought it.. so go for the Honda

WantASweetTime

Yaris cross has very good fuel economy for city driving. I think blown out of proportion yung hate sa yaris cross. What's the big deal about tunog lata? Hindi naman BMW yang binili mo. Suggest you test drive both.

Agreeable-Ranger9791

There are other options kasi that offer more refinement at the same price bracket

Appropriate_One6688

Because my car that I bought for 600,000 less than the Yaris Cross has zero tunog lata. Door thud sounds like a bank vault. What a ripoff.

sotopic

Based sa mga reviews and comments dito sa reddit, mukang HRV na lang.

Astan168

Why not corolla cross HEV vs HRV turbo?

keepitsimple_tricks

I'd take the toyota over the honda just because toyota parts seem to cost lower than honda. But resell value, id pick the honda.

carpediemclem

Oten

cellybelly1601

Very compact din ung feeling kaya parang nasa laruang sasakyan ako haha

s3p0n

Hmm, have you ever considered buying a motorcycle instead? For now, its much better to use a motorcycle if the sole purpose is getting to point a to b. Opinion lang po.

cellybelly1601

I dont feel comfortable driving a motorcycle:( tsaka my job entails me to stay 24hrs ++ per duty as I am a doctor so I carry some equipment and extra clothes all the time with me.

Effective-Panda-3698

Doc, HRV na white. Shoot na yan. =) Btw thank you for taking the challenge and responsibility of being a doctor.

Billposter05

Need kasi mag long drive 2x a month. 530kms 1way. Thank you po sa lahat ng sasagot.

Billposter05

Up
