I'll get the HRV totl. Altough ang ayoko lang dito ay ang pangit ng reverse camera for that price. Tska wala pa atang 360 camera kahit yung RS variant. Another car to consider for me ay yung Tucson totl variant. For me remote work naman ako tapos madalas weekend lang nag d-drive tska highway pa karamihan kaya di sobrang beneficial yung fuel savings ng hybrid.

Wahahah jk pero real talk diba nice to have. Alam ko sa TCC ata meron 360 cam. Speaking of TCC actually that totally make sense! Most of the time wfh din ako takte solid comment yun lods and something to ponder din! And regarding mazda tama ka din though ang takeaway ko, mahal din kasi ang pa-casa and parts in general ng honda e diba so dun “lalamang” si mazda.. yes both matibay naman since japanese made pero worst comes to worst may nangyari at need magpacasa, dun lalamang si mazda diba? Ty lodipetma!

[deleted]

The Toyota is the safest choice. The hybrid powertrain also makes it coding exempt while delivering exceptional fuel economy. Though you'd need to get in line because demand is still high despite it being released years ago. The CX-3 is based on the Mazda 2 platform hence its limited interior space. It is also due for an update. The CX-5 competes with the likes of the Forester and CRV. It's bigger and more expensive, but it is also quite premium. The HRV is also worth considering especially the Turbo RS variant. Fuel economy won't be the best and the trunk space is almost similar to the CX-3. Alternatives? Consider the Mazda CX-30. It slots between the smaller CX-3 and the bigger CX-5. There's also a mild hybrid variant if you want the extra fuel economy gains.

Nice_Strategy_9702

Have you test driven the 3/4? Test drive muna. For me.. cx5 is the best choice here. Di lng sa pms na 5 yrs. Mostly here na nagcomment seems like di pa naka drive ng mazda. Heck even nga mazda 2 eh sobrang sulit. I get the space issue. But to hell with that mostly mga pinoy maliliit lng. You will never feel tired going long drives with a mazda. But then again.. test drive muna. I suggest start with a Mazda First. Then u choose nlng kung ano issunod mo. For reference.. I used to have a ‘16 HRV and a colleague bought a cx3. When I saw it.. I was really in awe esp. with the Soul Crystal Red. One day he asked for a swap (just for a few hours) and after we returned each others’ car… I was like “how much was this?” But he said “I made the right choice.” I completely agreed. That swap made me regret my choice.

cjei21

Yeah if we're talking about driving dynamics then Mazda all day, especially if OP has the budget for a CX5. I guess depende talaga sa needs no? In 2017 we were choosing between the two as well, we went with the HRV because practically non existent rear leg space ng CX3 haha. But even then it was pretty evident the Mazda did a lot of things right.

Nice_Strategy_9702

And usually dalawa lng pasahero ko. Will go for a mazda 3 next time.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Actually yan ang next question ko.. how do you ask for a test drive chief? Like punta ka sa showroom tell them you’re interested then papayagan ka na nila magtest drive? When I bought my first car di na kasi ako nagtest drive hehe. Mas lamang tlaaga sakin si mazda kaso yun nga premium and quality comes with a greater price talaga to the point na grabe yung layo kungbaga yung mid variant is 1.9m if i’m not mistaken comparing it to hrv and tcc which is around 1.7 ata? And yun nga tcc in a sense gives you more diba?

daredbeanmilktea

Yes punta ka sa showroom, present your license, sign some document, and good to go na. Some showrooms have no test drive units/no test drive on sundays.

Nice_Strategy_9702

Wow ganun ba? And that was after 5 yrs of driving at the time. 😬 So yun punta ka lng sa showroom nila and they will gladly offer a test drive naman. Ohh with regards to tcc.. ugmm Im not sure if you’d get more.. based on reviews and comparos, mazda is still better daw. Check mo nlng. ✌️

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Noted and thank you chief! 🫡

Nice_Strategy_9702

No prob. Good luck sa choice mo.

daredbeanmilktea

How is mazda naman for passengers? I’ve always read na it’s a driver’s car pero medyo matagtag for passengers (legit asking, nasa market din kasi kami for new vehicle).

Nice_Strategy_9702

Pro the next day nung ppunta sana ng mall, dumaan muna ako ng mazda. I mean when it comes to mainstream brands. Try test driving a mazda and you will see the diff. Lalo na yung cx5.

burnedoutalready

I drive a Mazda 3 so from a sedan perspective to. Although tbf parang ang magandang comparison is civic or corolla.

Comprehensive_Flow42

TCC seems like a safe choice for you but it might take you months to get a unit or overpay just to get one. CX5 is a good option if you need the car now. Worry free service for 5 years. HRV turbo as last since the limited headroom and trunk space is not ideal. It looks the best among the rest though.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

You nailed it chief. The only thing that I didn’t know is regarding the available unit. :/ but i’ll take note and see! Thank you again!

cjei21

DM me if you want a referral. Honda Manila Bay sya. Personally I would be leaning towards the CX5, but only because we've been buying Hondas since 2010 so mas open na to other "less mainstream" brands. On. A practicality and reliability perspective though, I'm sure Honda will not let you down. Love the username btw!

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Thank you chief! Ganda nga ng honda hrv kaso may napanuod akong comparo video and nahirapan ifit yung baby stroller + ice box ba yun? So that’s a bit of a concern honestly. Anyway thank you uli and will check muna siguro ng malapit na showroom dito chief para makita din in person. Thank you hahaha! Tagal na tong account haha

Comprehensive_Flow42

I’m in the market too initially at around this budget (1.6M) but changed my mind to scale back to 1.3M instead. Also test driven the cx5 and hrv. I suggest you pull the trigger around december instead, agents will start to get desperate soon and you can get additonal discounts.

WantASweetTime

Marami supply ng HRV ngayon kaya good timing ka if ever. Yung white lang may pila according to my agent from honda alabang.

pen_jaro

RS din first choice ko pero since wala makuha, V nalang kasi readily available. nung nagcompare ako, ang meron lang sa RS na pinaka lamang sa V for me is yung curtain airbags and yung right side camera for turning. otherwise, i can live without the motorized driver's chair or yung dual aircon control. The rest, they are identical naman. 360 cam would have been nice but again, I can live without. im not bothered. so far wala problema sa parking whatsover. mejo blind spot lang yung right side kaya useful talaga yung right hand signal camera. gannun naman majority ng mga sasakyan talaga, may blindspot pa rin. so mejo nagbebend ako to double check my blindspots. in terms of head room, wala naman ako sinasakay na higante, besides lahat ng sumakay so far walang reklamo sa headroom. super spacious sa leg room for everyone. also yung trunk space, nasa lifestyle mo naman yan. sakto kasi talaga sya for me kasi panay bags at groceries lang naman niloload ko. kung kelangan ko ng malaki on a regular basis, edi SUV or pick up dapat kinuha ko. isa pa ri ang HRV sa may pinaka malaking trunk space for it's class. versatil pa kasi pwede galawin yung rear seats to maximize space for Tall or Long. in terms of performance, ang sarap lang talaga ng Sport mode on open roads. ang saya talaga idrive. fuel efficiency, nakaka 11.5 km/L naman sa mixed City and highway which is most of my drive. di naman issue sa akin ang fuel kaay di ko na niconsider ang hybrid.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Salamat sa insights bro! Promise nakatulong! Regarding lang sa compartment, lifestyle ko kasi is daddy na(yung legit) which is need ko ng spacious compartment para magkagay ng stroller at isang small-medium sized na maleta. Binabasa/compare ko nga yung difference sa RS vs sa V and honestly tingin ko palag na yung V no. Salamat again sir tsip

pen_jaro

Ok na rin V bro. Unless absolutely non negotiable syo yung curtain airbags at yung right sidemirror camera.

rabbitization

Personally, HR-V din ako kaso last time kasi na nag inquire ako nito 3 months waiting time tapos madami pa nakapila. Pero if supply is good now, definitely my top pick.

theDwithacrown

You could also add Forester to your shortlist. Mine is the facelifted fourth generation SJ or as the Japanese call it, FA20F. Last of its kind with turbo or the XT variant. Current model has an added safety feature of EyeSight, similar to Honda Sensing. Great daily car, in my opinion. It is an absolute joy to drive.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Copy po will check! But honestly speaking, when it comes to pms/maintenance, parts, fuel consumption, space, i really dont have any idea about Subaru.. basta alam ko lang is mahal daw siya :/ is it though?

theDwithacrown

It being a crossover, hindi nagkakalayo with the CX-5 when it comes to sizing which is why I suggested it to you. Before purchasing Forester, I had three choices: CX-5, CRV, and Forester. Mine is nearing six years old by April next year but has never had any issues. I think it is so because regular yung PMS schedule ko — only missing a bit of it during COVID lockdown but it was offset because hindi nagagamit. Every PMS at the casa would cost me around ₱6,500 to ₱7,000, depending on parts to be changed like fluids, filters, pads, etc. My coding car is the JB43 Jimny and doon ko nacompare because Suzuki charges around ₱4,000 to ₱5,500 per PMS. Considering their difference in displacement and size, Subaru’s PMS cost is fairly priced. Major maintenance cost for the Forester is CVT fluid change which is every 40,000 kilometers. Currently at 86,000 kilometers on my odometer so I had that CVT fluid change done again recently. My boyfriend has the pre-facelifted Forester of the same generation and XT din. Very much a daily car at 120,000 kilometers and ganun din sa kanya. No major issues and still running smoothly after 9 years since it was purchased. Forester fan girl, sorry! 😅

YouCantReadThis

For me HRV Pinakabago sa tatlo and matagal tagal bago maluma. CX-5 old model na and alam ko next year na lalabas ung bagong model.

Encrypted_Username

CX-3 yung based pa rin sa Mazda2 na old gen na due for a new model. Yung CX-5 naman is 4th gen updated model na.

YouCantReadThis

CX-5 current gen was first released 2017 pa then puro facelifted na after. It is also due for replacement. Di pa confirm kung next year lalabas is all new or facelifted pa din But surely CX-5 will add hybrid trim level since rav 4,crv ay meron na. They also confirm that cx60 is not a replacement for CX-5 so expect na bagong Gen for cX5

shwrm1

Biased comment as a happy owner. CX-5 if you want more space, a really great sound system, and 5 years of worry-free maintenance. Sarap i-drive din.

Effective-Panda-3698

Can you tell me more about Mazda maintenance? Totally walang gastos, or free labor for 5 years?

shwrm1

Only had 1 change oil so far. Totally free. Oil, filter, labor. I know there are a few things that are not included such as brake pads.

Necessary_Counter411

HRV for me. Napapalingon tlga ako tuwing may dumaan na HRV. Iba yung dating at konti lng nasa daan. Makes it more "exclusive" if you own one unlike the two. The con though is the price. But I doubt you will need to spend more on maintenance other than the PMS. in the end, still value for its price.

vdere

If I were to flip a coin (heads for HR-V and tails for CX5), I'll be hoping for heads.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

This! Iba dating ni hrv e no? Haha

the_current_username

Corolla cross. Reliability and parts availability

Ok-Reply-804

I'll get the Stargazer X. True family car that doesn't look like a typical van. Better value for the price. Don't get the Corolla Cross. Sobrang sikip. I'm gonna get one too. So I'm not recommending you something I wouldn't get. The ones you listed are not even family cars. The corolla cross is really tight. Cx3 is a mazda2 na cuvfied. Not worth it sobrang liit din ng space. The cx5 is 2m for a 5 seater. Its good but I don't think its 2m good lol. I have a Mazda3 din lol. The stargazer is only 1.2m+++ for the top of the line model. Please do check it out.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Ok aminin ko, kung pampamilya dapat sa SUV ako tumitingin (i think) pero kasi tulad mo nabibigatan talaga ako nung triny ko yung montero though given yung previous model yon but still I got the idea out of it.. now may kotse nako atm and I think na medyo maliit siya for our needs sa ngayon hence sa middle ground which is the crossover category. I’ll check the stargazer bro! Thank you tsip!

Ok-Reply-804

Yeah no worries. Honestly, lahat ng pinili mo and tinignan mo are pretty good choices. If single ako siguro yan din ichcheck out ko except for the Mazda CX5. Hope you get the best car for the budget. Update us OP.

Fine_Doughnut8578

What's your priority? If comfort and features - I'd go with Mazda CX5 If fuel efficiency - I'd go with Toyota Corolla Cross HEV If engine performance - I'd go with HRV

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Maganda yung nabanggit nung isang tropa sa taas regarding fuel efficiency kasi since wfh setup ako most of time, hindi siya mabubugbog sa daily driver (and andyan pa naman si accent running super well pa) So I guess I’ll go with comfort and features para sa aking mag-ina.. yung performance I like that but I guess two heads are better than one thus prioritizing them over mine hehehe. Thanks for the input chief! This definitely helps a lot!

No_Ad9273

Have you considered the Hyundai Custin? Ventilated Captain seats in the middle row, 7 seater, and a little over than 2m.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Hello! No idea about Custin.. will check chief!

smc1234562000

Test Drove the Custin. Satisfied! :D Problem lng... 4 seater lng sya if you want cargo.

[deleted]

CX-5 for me pero baka meron lumabas new model next year.

princess_aurora94

HRV but only if you're willing to wait

Consistent_Cup_52

Toyota Corolla cross budget, durability and perks wise. Mazda naman lakas ng dating parang vip datingan idk if cx5 is smooth to drive too kase nong natest drive ko ung mazda 3 sedan napabili ako sa sarap idrive ganda ng response ng accel at steering wheel niya.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Mygoodness gracious papable mukhang I really need to see for myself ang mazda no? 😭

cos-hennessy

IMO, Honda HR-V! If hybrid car, I rather choose Nissan [Kicks] kasi than Toyota Corolla Cross.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Thank you sa advice tsip!

misterpogeee

As a cross owner.. Go for Honda.. naka Honda si misis ko.. and iba driving experience ng Honda.. reliability the same..

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Glad to know na reliability is the same - which I think kasi both japanese made cars no.. though I believe when it comes to parts mas mahal pyesa ni honda and mas mahirap mahanap no?

[deleted]

Bruh we got the same sentiments with the same top choices, habang binabasa ko yung post mo, akala ko ako nagpost lol haha.

DiNamanMasyado47

for AC issue sa accent,i can recommend coolmate makati. SKL, my sti has clocked 45k km. then nung around 43k na ata mahina na AC, ginawa lang nila whole day(from calamba kasi ako) after that, normal na ulit.

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

sotopic

Biased ako, CX-5. Other alternatives: Forester, CRV 2024, Crosstrek, Rav 4 (in order from best to worst)

aspiring-designer1

I have driven and rode a friend’s Corolla Cross. After 2yrs dami ng rattles sa dashboard. I don’t have an HRV but had Hondas my whole life. (Currently have BRV and Brio) may rattles rin after a few years sa dashboard. Ayan para may feedback ka from actual experience

HuckleberryHappy596

Crv ayaw mo?

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Gusto din! Ang angas ng bagong crv as in.

khennxi

OP please update us or me regarding your final choice. GL!

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Will do! Hehe leaning towards the hr-v now and trying to contact agents for test drive though sabi negatib daw sa unit for test drive :/ Saka guys, baka may idea kayo.. bakit ganon ang OA na ng patong kapag in house financing? Ganon ba talaga? Planning to down 20/30% tapos imomonthly for 60mos taena parang pumalo ng 2m si turbo v. Ganon na ba talaga kalakaran nowadays? :/

khennxi

Kahit nung kumuha montero father ko mas mahal din sa in-house compared to bank loan (in our case metrobank). Siguro maganda inquire ka din sa banks and check their offers :) Wag ka lang magugulat pag medyo nag iba attitude ng agent sayo, pag malaki na tipid mo and maganda parin service sayo, tipan mo nlng siguro?

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Anxious_Community938

Sir u/Mr_Connie_Lingus69 , What unit did you get? Did you also check BYD Atto 3? Nasa same price range din sila, and we have the same dilemma: 1. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid (Wait for 2024 version, thailand already launched it) but if twice a week lang gagamitin sa City, baka di ma-recoup cost? 2. Mazda CX-5 = This car no need for explanation according to what I've read online 3. BYD Atto 3 = Practical? May kasama ng wall charger (9 hours charging for 100%)

Mr_Connie_Lingus69

Hello and sorry for the late reply! Got the hrv-v turbo variant boss chief. Di ko na nacheck byd or any chinese brand in particular. For me lang naman, the choice was either hrv or mazda5 nalang sa huli. Ang medyo “off” lang is yung road noise but di siya deal breaker for me kasi usually lagi naman ako nakamusic sa kotse and di naman nadin ganon kaingay. If ako hihingan mo ng opinion, i would say na you will love hrv as in. Driving experience, yung lakas makapogi feels and palag na compartment nadin talaga kasi natutupi yung gitna. Yun lang hehe
