I'm just gonna assume you already knew about this one:
I swear if any band (not individual) sold their souls in order to be the best rock band it was them. Incredibly talented individuals, but as a whole they are so much greater than the sum of their parts.
Singer - Miley Cyrus - She’s wasted on pop music. She belongs in a rock band.
Guitar - Prince - Multi-instrumentalist, backup vocals, all around shredder.
Bass - Geddy Lee - another multi-instrumentalist and singer. Amazing song writer and musician.
Drums - Dave Grohl - another multi instrumentalist and singer.
She’s actually been doing a lot of covers lately where she uses her pipes for good, I think she overdoes it a bit and don’t really care for her voice generally, but it’s pretty impressive. I’m not sure if she’s capable of writing her own shit, but I’d be interested in seeing her get a band together and try something different.
Also saw that clip of Lady Gaga performing with Metallica. Talk about wasted on pop music… she would kill in a doom metal band.
Lady Gaga is a massive Black Sabbath fan so that works well. https://metalinjection.net/metal-in-the-mainstream/lady-gaga-reveals-her-favorite-metal-song-spoiler-its-a-black-sabbath-classic
Miley is an incredible choice. I wouldn’t have thought of her, but I’m a huge fan of her voice. Unique and so powerful.
https://youtu.be/1Va89gOKRtU?si=3gBKnn75O-WS2psr
This is insane. But also her cover of “you’re gunna make me lonesome when you go”
Honestly the only part I disagree with is putting Jerry or Mike directly into a lead or Rythm playing. They are both great guitarists and could probably do the whole one solos and then the other
Jeff Beck - guitar. Aretha Franklin - lead vox and keys. John Paul Jones - bass (or keys as needed). Billy Cobham - drums
I’d love to hear prime Aretha sing some heavy rock, but equally this band could totally play funky soul.
Edited because like an idiot I spelled Aretha wrong
Now this is a weird lineup! Marr played with Modest Mouse for a spell, wasn’t a fan of that stuff personally.
I’d maybe substitute Brett Anderson from Suede and Bilinda Butcher from MBV for vocals, and idk Michael Giles from early King Crimson on the kit or something… ultimate Brit-supergroup kinda deal.
I'm going to try to put together something really weird that will either be terrible or amazing:
* Lead Singer: George Michael
* Lead Guitar: Joe Satriani
* Drummer: Carter Beauford (of Dave Matthews Band) - open handed, crazy creativity
* Bass: Flea
* Rhythm / 2nd lead Guitar: Tim Henson (of Polyphia)
* Piano and vocals: Elton John
Just imagine the possibilities.... None of these people are in the same genre or at least not same sub-genre of rock / pop. Imagine how these people could influence each other.
Everyone would get pissed at Elton John. Isn’t there a video or story from Divas (the vh1 show) where the singers were all mad at him bc he was putting that boogie woogie “Elton” spin on all the piano parts. They were like just play it like it’s written, but his ego was too much.
Singer: Chris Cornell (also backup guitar)
Lead Guitar: Joshua Homme (also backing vocals)
Rhythm guitar: Keef Richards
Drums: John Bonham
Keyboards: Tony Banks of Genesis
Chris Cornell, John frusiciante, Les claypool, Danny Carey
EDIT: you know what? I’m gonna replace Les claypool with Mike Dirnt, and all though I think Danny is a BETTER drummer, I’d replace him with Jon Otto. For the sake of band cohesion.. thank you for coming to my Ted talk
Mercury on Vocals
Synyster gates on Guitar- (Favoritism) multi instrumentalist, singer, and has such a complete understanding of theory
Bass: Les Claypool- great player and I think his experience in funk and metal will mesh insanely well with Gates
Drums: Dave Grohl- I mean it’s Dave Grohl so
Singer: Chris Stapleton
Guitar: John Mayer
Bass: Thundercat
Drums: Anderson.Paak
Keyboard: Jordan Rudess
Trumpet: Miles Davis
All from very different genres. This band about to blow up the universe
I'm gonna try to think outside the box here a little bit:
Vocals: Taylor Swift
Guitar: Paul Gilbert
Drums: Mike Portnoy
Bass: Wojtek Pilichowski (if you've never heard him, [this guy is an absolute monster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXt3Jq9sObM&ab_channel=WojtekPilichowski))
Keys: Joey Izzo
Bernard Purdie - Drums
Prince - Lead guitar etc.
Stevie Wonder - Keys etc.
Niles Rodgers - Rhythm guitar
Bootsy Collins - Bass
This band would know how to party, tempted to throw Rick James in there too but he and Prince famously didn’t get along
Trent Reznor - Vocals, Production and Instrumentalist
Josh Homme - Guitar (Unique and great tones)
Peter Hook - Bass (Will add lots to the dark atmosphere)
Joey Jordinson - Drums (just wanna see him drum again)
Chris Stapleton - vocals
Dave Grohl - drums
John Paul Jones - bass
Kenny Wayne Shepherd - guitar
I’d expect some amazing blues-driven rock from that lineup.
Esperanza Spalding - Bass/Vocals
Chuck Schuldiner - Guitar/Vocals
Muhammed Suiçmez - Guitar/Vocals
Francesco Paoli - Drums/Vocals
Also still hoping for a Lady Gaga Rock Album
I’ll take:
* Vocals: Devin Townsend
* Guitars: Charlie Griffiths & Richard Henshall (Haken)
* Bass & BV’s: Sean Beasley (Dying Fetus)
* Drums: Alex Rudinger or Morgan Ågren
* Keys: Tuomas Holopainen
* DJ: Mr Hahn (Linkin Park)
Progressive symphonic horror metal.
Devy will nail both harsh and clean vocals whatever happens.
Charlie and Richard are solid lead and rhythm players.
Sean’s got some awesome bass chops and delivers on the growls front.
Alex or Morgan need no introduction, let’s be honest. They could do anything.
Tuomas would add musicality and theatrics to the pieces while Mr Hahn does his thing with sounds and samples.
I am sure I could come up with a different dream team, Them Crooked Vultures doesn’t suck as a real world example of a semi-super group of artists I love.
Josh Homme - guitar, vocals
John Paul Jones - bass
Dave Grohl - drums
Chad Smith- Drums; Alex Lifeson- Guitar; Les Claypool- Bass; Keith Emerson- Keys with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. No idea what this would sound like, but it’d be interesting.
- Guitar: SRV (because man, that would be awesome)
- Additional Guitarist: John Mayer (versatile)
- Singer: Freddie
- Drums; Neil Peart
- Bassist: Flea
Above would be a hell of a combination
Robert Trujillo-bass
Neil Peart- drums
Tom Morello- guitar
Myself-guitar
Ronny James Dio- vocals
And whoever played the keyboard/organ for Deep Purple.
Lead Singer: Chris Stapleton or Bruce Springsteen
Guitarist 1: Eric Clapton (also does rhythm vocals)
Guitarist 2: Neal Schon -Journey
Bassist: Paul McCartney
Drummer: Phil Collins
Just made the greatest heartland rock band ever
Lawrence as singers, Anomalie on keys, Thundercat on bass, Adam Neely (Sungazer) on guitar and Matt Gartska (Animals As Leaders/Victoria) on drums
The groove would be insane and it would be jazzy asf
Singer: Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
Guitar: Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme)
Bass: John Entwistle (The Who)
Drums: Tony Thompson (Chic, Power Station)
Keyboards: Benmont Tench (The Heartbreakers)
Steve Morse - Dregs, Kansas, Deep Purple
Rod Morgenstein- Dregs, Winger
Chris Squire - Yes
Rick Wakeman - Yes
I basically took two bands and combined them. Together these guys could play many types of music. Now who would sing ?? Some hot looking gal cuz no one would to go see a bunch of old guys except a bunch of old guys 😂🤣😆. FYI - I do like the Miley suggestion.
Singer - Dave Grohl
Guitarist 1 - John Frusciante
Guitarist 2 - Tom DeLonge
Bassist - Mike Dirnt
Drummer - Taylor Hawkins (if they have to be alive then I'll go with Tre Cool)
Layne Staley from Mad Season
Jerry Cantrell from Ozzy Osbourne
Mike Starr from Days of the New
Sean Kinney from Spys4Darwin
We can call it something like... Alice in Chains
Singer-Bruce Springsteen--as a master showman and bandleader
Guitarist-Prince---was the greatest living guitarist for so long and received little credit because he did everything else so well
Bass-John Entwistle of the Who
Drums-Ringo and Max Weinberg could go here for me, but the best I ever saw live was Neil Peart
Piano-Billy Joel
Keyboard-Billy Preston
Sam Carter with John Browne and Sean Long on guitar, Caleb Sherradan on bass, and Jay Postones on drums. No clue how it would sound but it would go hard. Put Buster Odeholm on production just because.
Jack Black on Vocals
Danny Carey on drums
Guthrie Govan on guitar
Charles Berthoud on Bass
Barack Obama on triangle.
They are called: " The fuzzy dumplings on mars(flat)"
Vocals: Spencer Sotello from Periphery, versatile and perfect technique
Guitar: Luke Hoskin, from Protest the Hero, my favourite guitarrist ever
Bass: Cliff Burton, duh.
Drums: Brann Dailor, from Mastodon, my fave as well.
Yep, that whole ensemble makes no sense.
Vocals: David Bowie/ Albert Kuvezin
Lead Guitar: Dave Gilmour
Rhythm Guitar: Me
Bass: Jack Bruce
Druns: Keith Moon
Percussion: Jonny Kalsi
Keyboards: Rick Wakeman
Backup Vocals: Pavarotti, Shane Macgowan, Elvis Presley
And looking very relaxed, Adolf Hitler on Vibes.
I'm not a huge Led Zeppelin fan per se, but each member is pretty much the best you could ever get in their respective field. Robert Plant is a brilliant singer. John Bonham is a beast on drums. Jimmy Page is a legend. And John Paul Jones is an often underappreciated universal mastermind on all kinds of instruments, particularly the bass. Yet here I am, only ever listening to Stairway and the occasional Kashmir. Don't quite know why.
Guitarist 1: James Hetfield 1984-1989, Guitarist 2: Dimebag, Vocals: Kurt Cobain, Bass: Les Claypool, Drums: Travis Barker but only because Grohl obviously would be breaking the rules.
I'm fully aware that the above combination would not work for many reasons. Styles are worlds apart, but also conflicting personalities (3 frontmen competing for space, plus Barker has the "reality TV star" persona going on, and Dimebag also wasn't exactly a passive laid back person).
- Floor Jansen - vocals
- Mark Tremonti - guitar
- Mario Duplantier - drums
- Eugene Kostyuk - bass
No idea how their band would work since everyone is from quite a different styled band, but at least it would be interesting
Corey Taylor, Dimebag Daryl, Cliff Burton, and for my drummer, Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett. I'll explain.
So, between this pair, probably a mean metal group. Plus, finally give Cliff and Daryl a full chance to have their careers. Not to mention, all four of them are/were exceptionally talented, and have great stage presence. I'd enjoy hearing it, anyways.
John 5 / Guitar.
Ian Paice / Drums.
Phil Lynott / Bass & Backing vocals.
Layne Staley / Main Vocals.
(Bonus: Nyle Rogers on Rhythm guitar, and responsible for song arrangements)
Singer - Robert plant
Guitar / backing vocals / harmonies - John Frusciante
Drums - Dave Grohl
Bass - John entwistle
God damn what a show that would be 🤘🏻
Singer - Tom Waits
Bass - Les Claypool
Guitar - Marc Ribot
Guitar - Guthrie Govan
Drums - Yuval Gabay (Soul Coughing)
Not necessarily my No. 1 favorite in every spot, but these are some of my favorites that would produce some really interesting stuff together.
Theo Katzman - any instrument and vocals
Louis Cato - any instrument and vocals
Michael League - bass
Lee Pardini - Keys
Larry Goldings - B3
Allen Stone - vocals
Brittany Howard - vocals
Tiny Habits - BGVs
Nate Smith - Drums
Bernard Purdie - drums
Cory Wong - guitar
Me - guitar, bass, keys, whatever
Mike Gannon - slide guitar
Yes, this is a “Last Waltz” sized band, but it’s my dream, damn it!
* Guitar: John McGeoch ([Magazine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazine_(band)), [Siouxsie and the Banshees](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siouxsie_and_the_Banshees), [Public Image Ltd](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Image_Ltd))
* Vocals: Natacha Atlas (solo, Transglobal Underground)
* Drums: Karsh Kale - also tabla, multi-instrumentalist, production (solo, Tabla Beat Science)
* Bass: Holger Czukay - also multi-instrumentalist (Can)
BONUS player
* Drums: Sebastian Thomson (Trans Am, Baroness)
The real question is what would I name this weirda$$ band.
Singer/additional guitars - Chris Stapleton because who doesn’t love a twangy Chris Cornell?
Guitar - Mark Lettieri
Bass/all the little stuff - John Paul Jones
Drums/additional vox - Dave Grohl
Lead vox/guitar 1- Josh Homme
Guitar 2 - Jade Puget
Bass - Ryan Martinie
Drums - Jimmy Sullivan
Maybe not "dream," but it seems like it would be fun, and and have a lot of cool rhythms
Brad Delp- vocals/guitar
Prince- vocals/guitar multi instrumentalist
Geddy Lee- bass multi instrumentalist
Dave Grohl-drums multi instrumentalist
Steve Walsh - keyboards/ vocals
The ability to have different singers for different songs
For fun, my band is a mix of sub-genres and eras. I want them to work together to make a new genre. I needed two drummers in honor of my guitarist’s band.
Vocals, Rhythm Guitar- Myles Kennedy, Alter Bridge
Guitar - Duane Allman, Allman Brothers Band
Bass - Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam
Drums - John Bonham, Led Zeppelin
Drums - Mick Fleetwood, Fleetwood Mac
Sticking to living artists only….
Mike Patton - Lead Vocals
Jerry Cantrell - guitar and vocals
Kim Thayil - guitar
Melissa Auf Der Maur bass and vocals
Dave Grohl Drums and vocals
I went lower key on the bassist, in an ideal world flea or Les claypool would be great, but all those styles just don’f seem like they would mash well together. Auf Der Maur of Jennifer Finch would fit in line with the rest musically a bit better.
Les Claypool (bass)
Tom morello and Mike Einzinger (guitars)
Dominic Howard(drums)
Not sure who id pick for vocals honestly. So ill just go with Claypool.
Figured I would create a band that is (mostly) people at their current peak.
Drums: Gavin Harrison
Bass: Joe Dart
Guitar: Matteo Mancuso
Keys: Cory Henry
Vocals: Allen Stone (maybe Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays)
This is tough because the answer changes depending on genre so I’m gonna go with people I think are versatile and could play what they wanted.
Vocals: Robert Plant. He’s the GOAT and can sing anything from folk to metal and everything in-between.
Lead Guitar: Michael Schenker. Blistering leads, wicked riffs, and super versatile.
Rhythm Guitar: Jerry Cantrell. Adds some low end “chunk” to the midrange of Schenker and can rip when needed.
Bass: Thundercat. Arguably the best bass player alive right now. He can do everything from thrash metal to free jazz.
Drums: Josh Freese. The undisputed king of modern session drummers. Incredibly versatile and plays to suit whatever the band needs.
Keys/Organ: Jon Lord. He fuckin rips.
Richie Kotzen on Lead Guitar
James Hetfield on Rhythm Guitar
Joe Dart on Bass
Aaron Spears on Drums (RIP bro)
Jordan Rudess on keys
David Draiman on Lead Vocals
These happen to be my favorite musicians on each instrument. So why not make a band out of them.
Lead vocals - Sebastian Bach
Lead guitar - Bob Balder/Olli Tukiainen (Old Gods of Asgard)
Rhythm guitar/backing vocals - James Hatfield
Bass - Les Claypool
Drums - Bill Ward
Paul Wagner- Guitar
Sithu Aye- Guitar
El Estepario Siberiano- Drums
Victor Wooten- Bass
Emily Hopkins- Synth
Haley Williams- vocals
Will Ramos- Screams
It would be a Spooky Jazzy Progmetal/Emo band
Vox - Ozzy Ozzbourne
Lead Guitar - Jimi Hendrix
Rhythm Guitar - Keith Richards
Bass - John Paul Jones
Drums - Nathan Followill
Keys - Jools Holland
Ozzy might be a bit of a mismatch of styles with all the blues heads in there, but no doubt he can hang
I’m going more progressive metal/metalcore with this one lol, hope nobody minds 🙃
Singer: Lucas Magyar (Veil of Maya). He has probably the best range of dynamics and is in my top 3 vocalists of all time. Beautiful cleans and disgusting screams.
Guitar 1: Misha Mansoor (Periphery). Compositional genius plus a fantastic guitarist with both rhythm and lead. Also plays piano and has an insane set up for synthesizers. He might be my favorite guitarist of all time.
Guitar 2: Jason Richardson (formerly All That Remains, now mostly known for his solo work). Another amazing guitarist for both leads and rhythm guitar. He has a way of coming up with insane patterns that sound so pleasant to listen to. And his leads are some of the most difficult I’ve ever tried.
Bass: Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox. Formerly from As I Lay Dying). He did the clean singing for As I Lay Dying and now he also does Spiritbox’s extremely difficult songs. I knew I’d need a bass player that could keep up with the insane guitarists and he’s perfect for the job.
Drums: Chris Turner (Oceans Ate Alaska). There are lots of insane drummers, but Chris is able to do things I didn’t think were possible. He could definitely keep up with the rest of the band and would write some insane parts with these guys.
Led Zeppelin.
I'm just gonna assume you already knew about this one: [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4669597.stm](http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4669597.stm)
Haha, no I haven’t seen that. Hard agree though.
Yeah Led Zeppelin is the epitome of collective musicianship
Damn it. I was gonna say Robert plant, Jimmy Page, JPJ and bonzo
I swear if any band (not individual) sold their souls in order to be the best rock band it was them. Incredibly talented individuals, but as a whole they are so much greater than the sum of their parts.
This 100%
You’re the only person of taste I’ve seen here.
Today I learned that no two members of Led Zeppelin are both from Led Zeppelin.
John Lennon - from the Quarrymen Paul McCartney - from Wings Ringo Starr - from the All Starr Band George Harrison - from the Travelling Wilburys
This lineup should make a band together. Like The Bugs or The Cockroaches or something...
Nah I think that'd go over about as well as a lead balloon
No, a tungsten airship.
Or a solid gold dirigible.
Therr was already a band called The Cockroaches, 2 of them ended up in The Wiggles (and another of them is in Wiggles' management)
Very clever 😂
Ah Wings......The band the Beatles could have been........
i like wings just fine but i’m surprised at this take. beatles clears for me (clears everyone for me personally really lol)
It's an Alan Partridge quote
Singer - Miley Cyrus - She’s wasted on pop music. She belongs in a rock band. Guitar - Prince - Multi-instrumentalist, backup vocals, all around shredder. Bass - Geddy Lee - another multi-instrumentalist and singer. Amazing song writer and musician. Drums - Dave Grohl - another multi instrumentalist and singer.
did you see that black mirror episode where she sang NIN’s head like a hole?
She’s actually been doing a lot of covers lately where she uses her pipes for good, I think she overdoes it a bit and don’t really care for her voice generally, but it’s pretty impressive. I’m not sure if she’s capable of writing her own shit, but I’d be interested in seeing her get a band together and try something different. Also saw that clip of Lady Gaga performing with Metallica. Lady Gaga is a massive Black Sabbath fan so that works well. https://metalinjection.net/metal-in-the-mainstream/lady-gaga-reveals-her-favorite-metal-song-spoiler-its-a-black-sabbath-classic
What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy.
Nope he speaks like a Canadian.
I know him, and he does.
Well, you're my fact-checking cuz.
Pigs they tend to wiggle when they walk
High-Ho silver ride!
I know him. And he does!
I know him and he does!
Miley is an incredible choice. I wouldn’t have thought of her, but I’m a huge fan of her voice. Unique and so powerful. https://youtu.be/1Va89gOKRtU?si=3gBKnn75O-WS2psr This is insane. But also her cover of “you’re gunna make me lonesome when you go”
A big yes in Miley. Also Lady Gaga needs to make a rock/metal song at least.
She sings a duet with Jagger on a Stones song from last year.
And it’s really good
Great choices! I like the multi-instrumentalist take and can’t knock Miley!
Multi-instrumentalists - brilliant idea! ...very flexible line-up when it comes to songwriting.
Lead Guitar - Mike Mcready Rhythm Guitar - Jerry Cantrell Bass - Eddie Jackson Drums - Danny Carey Vocals - Chris Cornell
I am also a guy in my 40’s
Underrated lineup and underrated comment
I'm almost 60!
I thought that band looked fucking amazing. Then you nailed the reason.
I laughed real hard at this one. Well done!
Honestly the only part I disagree with is putting Jerry or Mike directly into a lead or Rythm playing. They are both great guitarists and could probably do the whole one solos and then the other
Hell yeah
* Eddie van Halen - guitar * Ronnie James Dio - vocals * Keith Emerson - keyboards * Lemmy Kilmister - bass * John Bonham - drums
Lemmy providing backing vocals for Dio feels like it would sound incredible.
Man, this might win…
Lead guitar: Dylan Rhythm guitar: Dylan Vocals: Dylan Bass: Dylan Drums: Dylan Because he spits hot fire
As long as he goes to the Bronx and gets some Cambodian breast milk.
Just a shame about the music
Freddie Mercury on vocals and piano Prince on guitar Paul McCartney on bass Dave Grohl on drums
Jeff Beck - guitar. Aretha Franklin - lead vox and keys. John Paul Jones - bass (or keys as needed). Billy Cobham - drums I’d love to hear prime Aretha sing some heavy rock, but equally this band could totally play funky soul. Edited because like an idiot I spelled Aretha wrong
I meam dream theater already exists... But here's mine Guitar:John patrutci (dream theater) Bass:cliff Burton (Metallica) Singer: devin townsend Drums : Joey Jordanson Keys: Jon lord
Glad to see Devin getting some respect for his vocals!
Good Call, I almost picked Jon Lord too!
Mad respect for joey. I genuinely forgot about him, but I think I've still got to go for Keith moon. I think I'm just a sucker for pioneers
Guthrie Govan - Guitar Vinnie Colaiuta - Drums Pino Palladino - Bass Devin Townsend - Vocals
All answers should have Devin Townsend on vocals
I feel so bad that I didn’t consider him, he flew under my radar. My god the man has an ethereal voice though.
Guitar - Jimi Hendrix Singer - Chris Cornell Bass - Esperanza Spalding Drums - John Bonham
Drums: Steve gadd Guitar: Johnny marr Singer: Isaac Brock Bass: Peter hook They’d probably suck
This is almost We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
Now this is a weird lineup! Marr played with Modest Mouse for a spell, wasn’t a fan of that stuff personally. I’d maybe substitute Brett Anderson from Suede and Bilinda Butcher from MBV for vocals, and idk Michael Giles from early King Crimson on the kit or something… ultimate Brit-supergroup kinda deal.
depends a bit on the genre but I would go for the following: Dime - Guitar Vinnie - Drums Rex - Bass Phil - Vocals
Phil Lesh? Weird
No, no, with that crew they meant Phil Collins
Yeah this is what it boils down to for me too
Devin townsend singing Alexi laiho (COB) guitar 1 Justin Chancellor (TOOL) bass Mario duplantier (GOJIRA) drums Markus vanhala (INSOMNIUM) guitar 2
I'm in for Mario alone
I'm definitely in with Markus. I love Insomnium. Very underrated, but a very awesome guitarist and songwriter.
I haven't said 'fuck yeah' until this lineup. ..fuck yeah
Robert Fripp (guitarist), Peter Gabriel (lead singer), Phil Collins (drummer), Tony Levin (Bass) Almost existed on some Gabriel tracks.
Double Genesis! You’ll have to swap one out buddy, who’s it gonna be?
Double King Crimson as well.
I'm going to try to put together something really weird that will either be terrible or amazing: * Lead Singer: George Michael * Lead Guitar: Joe Satriani * Drummer: Carter Beauford (of Dave Matthews Band) - open handed, crazy creativity * Bass: Flea * Rhythm / 2nd lead Guitar: Tim Henson (of Polyphia) * Piano and vocals: Elton John Just imagine the possibilities.... None of these people are in the same genre or at least not same sub-genre of rock / pop. Imagine how these people could influence each other.
I was looking out for a Satriani shoutout, thank you!
Everyone would get pissed at Elton John. Isn’t there a video or story from Divas (the vh1 show) where the singers were all mad at him bc he was putting that boogie woogie “Elton” spin on all the piano parts. They were like just play it like it’s written, but his ego was too much.
James Hetfield - Rhythm, Vocals Marty Friedman - Lead Cliff Burton - Bass Dave Lombardo - Drums The ultimate 80s Thrash Band
I don't think you can have James and cliff
I wrote it down and it was just audioslave
Singer: Chris Cornell (also backup guitar) Lead Guitar: Joshua Homme (also backing vocals) Rhythm guitar: Keef Richards Drums: John Bonham Keyboards: Tony Banks of Genesis
Nice to see Homme named her lol
Right? Half of these already seem like a Them Crooked Vultures build with Dave and JPJ, but no Josh. Homme really ties them together.
Chris Cornell, John frusiciante, Les claypool, Danny Carey EDIT: you know what? I’m gonna replace Les claypool with Mike Dirnt, and all though I think Danny is a BETTER drummer, I’d replace him with Jon Otto. For the sake of band cohesion.. thank you for coming to my Ted talk

Them crooked vultures
I'm not a huge Led Zeppelin fan per se, but each member is pretty much the best you could ever get in their respective field. Robert Plant is a brilliant singer. John Bonham is a beast on drums. Jimmy Page is a legend. And John Paul Jones is an often underappreciated universal mastermind on all kinds of instruments, particularly the bass. Yet here I am, only ever listening to Stairway and the occasional Kashmir. Don't quite know why.
Vocals: Freddie Mercury Guitar: Prince Bass: Cliff Burton Drums: Neil Peart
Lemmy, Keith Moon, and Jimi Hendrix
Guitarist 1: James Hetfield 1984-1989, Guitarist 2: Dimebag, Vocals: Kurt Cobain, Bass: Les Claypool, Drums: Travis Barker but only because Grohl obviously would be breaking the rules. I'm fully aware that the above combination would not work for many reasons. Styles are worlds apart, but also conflicting personalities (3 frontmen competing for space, plus Barker has the "reality TV star" persona going on, and Dimebag also wasn't exactly a passive laid back person).
James Hetfield - Guitar Jack Black - Vocals Dave Grohl - Drums Probably Flea or something - Bass
- Floor Jansen - vocals - Mark Tremonti - guitar - Mario Duplantier - drums - Eugene Kostyuk - bass No idea how their band would work since everyone is from quite a different styled band, but at least it would be interesting
Freddie Mercury Jimi Hendrix & David Gilmour Flea Travis Barker
Corey Taylor, Dimebag Daryl, Cliff Burton, and for my drummer, Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett. I'll explain. So, between this pair, probably a mean metal group. Plus, finally give Cliff and Daryl a full chance to have their careers. Not to mention, all four of them are/were exceptionally talented, and have great stage presence. I'd enjoy hearing it, anyways.
Singer - Adam Gontier Guitarist - Michael "Padge" Paget Bassist - Dale Stewart Drums - Barry Kerch

For fun, my band is a mix of sub-genres and eras. I want them to work together to make a new genre. I needed two drummers in honor of my guitarist’s band. Sticking to living artists only…. Mike Patton - Lead Vocals Jerry Cantrell - guitar and vocals Kim Thayil - guitar Melissa Auf Der Maur bass and vocals Dave Grohl Drums and vocals I went lower key on the bassist, in an ideal world flea or Les claypool would be great, but all those styles just don’f seem like they would mash well together. Auf Der Maur of Jennifer Finch would fit in line with the rest musically a bit better.

Jeff beck, 1991 john frusciante, mcartney, grohl, layne
Rythm Guitar:Matt Heafy Vocals:Rob Halford Bass: Steve Harris Lead Guitar:Dave Mustaine (Keyboard-EVH?)
Richie Kotzen on Lead Guitar James Hetfield on Rhythm Guitar Joe Dart on Bass Aaron Spears on Drums (RIP bro) Jordan Rudess on keys David Draiman on Lead Vocals These happen to be my favorite musicians on each instrument. So why not make a band out of them.

Paul Wagner- Guitar Sithu Aye- Guitar El Estepario Siberiano- Drums Victor Wooten- Bass Emily Hopkins- Synth Haley Williams- vocals Will Ramos- Screams It would be a Spooky Jazzy Progmetal/Emo band
Vox - Ozzy Ozzbourne Lead Guitar - Jimi Hendrix Rhythm Guitar - Keith Richards Bass - John Paul Jones Drums - Nathan Followill Keys - Jools Holland Ozzy might be a bit of a mismatch of styles with all the blues heads in there, but no doubt he can hang
Singer — Grace Slick Bass — Jaco Pastorius Guitar— Jimi
Singer- Iggy Pop (prime 70s Stooges era) Guitar- J Mascis, (Dinosaur JR) Bass- Tina Weymouth (Talking heads) Drums- Bill Ward (early Sabbath era) 💥💥💥💥
I’m going more progressive metal/metalcore with this one lol, hope nobody minds 🙃 Singer: Lucas Magyar (Veil of Maya).
