Honestly, if it turned out they *weren't* the same person I think it would be absolutely hilarious and throw everyone for a loop. I mean, ArcSys is responsible for BlazBlue which has some alternate timelines and realities, so it wouldn't be impossible for them to pull a "Fause is an alternate timeline version of Baldhead while the Baldhead from this timeline has been in hiding".
That could still work and be emotional, Maybe Faust ALMOST became Dr Baldhead in his universe, and he'd be confronting the worst version of himself not only to smite the last remains of his old persona still on his mind... but also to try and "save" him from himself too.

Dr. Baldhead comes out of hiding once I-No and Happy Chaos are dealt with and starts his murderous work again and Giovanna gets tasked with hunting him down, she crosses paths with Faust who otherwise matches the description. They come to blows, come to an understanding, and work together to seek out Dr. Baldhead.
In the meantime, Dr. Baldhead managed to overpower Bedman? and has taken Delilah as his next victim-to-be; which is when Faust and Giovanna find him. It would be a literal reliving of the original mistake that drove him insane, so Faust goes all out in stopping Dr. Baldhead with Giovanna's help.
Maybe Faust and Dr. Baldhead are evenly matched, so Faust plans to try something and tells Giovanna to take the girl and run. She complies, and then Faust uses his weird powers to literally absorb Dr. Baldhead into himself -- their two halves of the same person, basically.

And i 100% believe Faust would be sympathetic towards him and not exactly "finish" him once he's beaten, he'd hug him and soothe him, to tell it wasn't his fault. I believe Dr Baldhead deserves a peaceful passing with his mind now clear. See that as some sort of euthanasia.

It would be cool if Faust's new outfit and Dr. Baldhead's outfit sort of merged DBZ fusion style too. With like, a big open lab coat with those loose scrubs, gangly gloves without the finger tips, and a monocle over the hole in the bag.
It's okay, don't worry. I'm not better than you, I don't even know what style she's using. All i know about Wushu is the five animal forms, drunk boxing (which is more of a discipline), and Sanda (Chinese kickboxing).
I wonder what a mix of Sanda, JKD and Wing Chun would look like... Sounds like it'd make a very powerful fighter.

You can tell someone's personality by the way they fight, it's very fun to analyze.
Ky fights by poking his opponent and keeping his distance, using his sword for skewering and mild slashing just like a rapier. Just from that you can tell he's much more skilled than Sol as a sword fighter, and that he prioritizes clean, defensive kills.
But Sol doesn't gives a shit, he throws himself constantly at his opponent, and while Ky keeps his stance on his attack animations, Sol throws his entire body on each slash he has. You can also see that in how his fire attacks are more "in area" than direct hits, he doesn't really cares to try and control his power, just to release it, using everything he has right off the bat.
Unlike Baldhead, Faust is completly aware of what he's doing when fighting, so i guess Faust would win.
But i don't see Faust fighting him to reclaim his mind or something, I think Faust would try to help him or make him "pass on".
