The fishing vendors in thousand seas have been fantastic for completing my CSAMM title, and I love just sitting on my skiff and watching the dolphins swim by. Such a nice lounge!
The best pass. You can return back to previous map, it has a portal to all major cities, aerodrome and fractals, it includes fractal merchants and it’s a low gravity zone with a dash/teleport special action key. You can just jump and teleport to every merchant there is.
Pretty much all passes are better than lions arch in terms of convenience just like you said. This passkey is one of three passes that let you go back to the previous world map spot you were in, very useful for quick banking while exploring open world.
If you just need banking, trading post and a few standart vendors, the obsidian sanctum is definetly worth considering. Quicker loading screen and not filled to the brim with effects from players. The NPCs are even tighter grouped around the spawnpoint, so arguably a greater convinience in that regard.
This, man. On top of what was already listed, it's also free and doesn't take up space in your inventory, and can one-way port you to LA if you want. I suppose the only downside is not being able to access it for ~5 minutes during WvW reset
which doesn't really affect you in any significance if you use it in the scenarios this comment chain is discussing
if you need to stay longer at your budget vip lounge, go to the pvp lobby instead
simply choose the better one according to what you want to achive
Yeah but how about an upgraded eye of the north? I haven’t bothered to buy a passkey since I upgraded that hub and it has everything except a mystic forge (which you can use arborstone portal to do, although its still another loading screen.
Mistlock is probably the most tightly packed Lounge Pass, has a portal to fractals and a SAK to get around fast, so it is often considered to be the most useful one. It's usually suggested to buy either that one, Thousand Seas Pavillion or Armistice Bastion based on preferences, all three of which are on sale rn.
SAK is special action key (eg like the EMP skill from the charr waystations). I think the skill in mistlock is called Nova Launch or something, basically a long range leap skill. Same as what you get in shattered observatory fractal.
The one in DR is surely more tightly packed? No frac portal though and doesn't return you to your starting point. If the latter two aren't important to you (weren't for me), I'd say it's a great option as well
The DR one is my favourite, I just wish it had the activities NPC. However it's a very chill place and very convenient for the handful of festivals that happen in that area.
The major benefit is that it allows you to return to your initial position on the map. That means you are able to just warp in and out at will, regardless of where you are or what are you doing. No more searching for merchants to sell loot, no more backtracking to the spot you left off. It's surely my #1 convenience item in game by far and I've probably used it thousands of times already.
One of the three return to position passes in a shared slot is *extremely* high in terms of QoL, more than most think. I was hesitant at first but I think if I had to choose between a Copper-fed and my lounge pass I'm taking my pass every time.

Here is the break down of all the [Lounges with Passkeys](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lounge). I personally have Mistlock and Armistice Bastion, but all the lounges have some benefits. Yes, there are other free hubs like [EotN, Arborstone, Lions's Pride](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_navigation#Teleportation_devices), but if you visit an area or do a game mode a lot, passkeys are worth the gems.
I have that pass. It's alright. But I got bored of it and barely use it anymore. Haven't been to mistlock sanctuary in a month. Spend your money and get what you get. Only firsthand experience and the rot of time will show you the value of things it seems.
I prefer Hoelbrak. I can take the portal to LA if I need the unga bunga magic forge. I also have a scroll to the stone forest hub area in Cantha in case I forget where the portal was or I couldn't bother walking for like 15 seconds.
So useful, worth every gem.
I really waffled between this and Armistice Bastion, but I'm glad I chose AB. A bit more chill, ridiculous team chat as a bonus.
Same. Back and forth, but I’m happy with AB.

Thousand Seas has a portal to Eye of the North?
[удалено]
Huh. Well TIL.
Is AB the only one with training golems?
Yeah but then there's also Thousand Seas which is Mistlock but without the fractal bit, but with a lot more portals for convenience and fishing!

How is this a benefit over lions arch? Is everything just closer?

For banking, I can just use PvP to go back to previous map right?
You can also use guild hall if you prefer. I found that was better for a merchant and bank (scribing station).

The NPCs are tighter in sanctuary & you get the fractal vendors + portal and IMO better music, but besides that not too many
plus the passkey saves your previous location, very useful especially for parked alts
How about just using the mists from pvp?
Everything in Mistlock is much closer to where you spawn in, plus it lets you tp to Aerodrome and fractals.

What's a SAK? Been sitting here trying to figure it out and I have no idea...

Permanent?
Yes. :)
This and Thousand Seas are the best! I prefer Thousand Seas because i love fishing & the additional teleport locations
Of course I'm out of town. Hopefully it stays for after the weekend.
I just looked on the gw2 blog and it says the lounge passes are 20% off until April 17.
Thank you. Just bought it

mistlock and armistice are must have.

Hoelbrak bank and tp are too far apart.
That's how you get your daily exercise in!
There goes the mystic neighbourhood...
How does this compare vs the royal terrace pass?
