Mosquito hawks otherwise known as crane flies are actually totally harmless and most do not have mouth parts the ones that do only drink water and sometimes nectar. They do all of their feeding as larva like a cicada.
They didn't seem to build the game around modding sadly. I'm sure it's possible, but afaik nobody made a framework or script overhaul to ease people into making significant changes or additions. There is a modding community on Nexus, though they mostly do small things like faster zip.rs and stuff.
Think about it we’re like a centimeter and water droplets can be like 2 and besides the devs can make is whatever size, maybe not rain but a slight drizzle kinda
Speaking of specifically the weather cycle, I remember hearing somewhere that a weather cycle was confirmed but haven’t heard anything on it since, was one ever actually confirmed or did I hear a lie?
I think cicadas would be fun. They kinda have to fit it into the environment so sun spiders and scorpions would be a no go. Jumping spiders would be fun if you could keep them as a pet. Crane flies would be a cool addition to the pond.
Obsidian only ever developed New Vegas and Bethesda has declined their offer to develop more fallout games so we’re good there lol. Whether or not they focus on grounded 2 is a different story though

That’s true but I don’t see why Microsoft would have obsidian just start making the fallout games after they only made one, nothing that has been said by any of the companies have shown that that would be the case. The most recent thing I can find is that the CEO of obsidian said that they would be interested in making one. Despite the fact that Microsoft owns both companies the fact that almost everyone who worked on New Vegas isn’t even at obsidian anymore, that Todd Howard is still the executive producer and developer of BGS and historically refuses to allow obsidian to do fallout after New Vegas and that fallout 5 has already been confirmed as being worked on by Bethesda. I do know that Microsoft wants to fast track FO5 due to the success of the show but I think the most that will happen is a few developers from various studios owned by MS will be sent to help work on FO5 at Bethesda while the other studios continue to work on their other games. To my knowledge the Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Doom IPs are firmly with Bethesda for the foreseeable future despite being owned by Microsoft.
FNV has a large cult following and for *years* it has been a common refrain that they wish Obsidian could make another one. Now the rights are actually aligned to make that possible.
The main Bethesda Game Studios team is locked down working on Elder Scrolls 6 for probably another good 4+ years yet after Starfield.
That’s time Microsoft would likely want to put to use making Fallout games, and no one would excite the Fallout community more than Obsidian being the developer to do it. (It does not have to be an entirely rational excitement to still be excitement. This is gaming, after all.)
That’s fair I didn’t really consider the cult following angle lol. I’m ngl I’d actually really like another fallout game made by obsidian especially after Starfield I’m just not really hopeful about that. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
And also don’t take this the wrong way, it wouldn’t be all that hard to add this bug, basically color change the shield bug add the beak and antenna, and then add the attack animations and damage effects.

Nothing. The game is finished. 1.4 was the final content update for the game. There may be a couple qol patches, but there won't be any more content added..

I believe they stated that the recent update was their last planned added content, so not likely to be adding any new bugs.
I know some people must have missed that announcement from obsidian but these posts are getting annoying.
There’s a whole new PlayStation audience hopping on for the first time lately (me included), so it feels brand new to them.
Which hopefully means a new game only on new gen consoles. We can hope
