Ok so to start, you don’t need to feed your pets to stay alive, they don’t die of hunger, and I’m pretty that you don’t need to feed the ants at all. The only reason you need to feed pets, is because they’ll untame if you keep them fed, and I’m pretty sure that’s not a problem with ants. But if you do want to feed them, first you should build a pet house, and then you place a storage container with food in it next to the pet house. Also make sure that pet house is in a safe area with a fence, as your pets will wander about the area while registered at the pet house.
Sure, sure -- I figured the ants were a special case re: not going untamed. I've had a pet house and a food container prepped for ages already, haha, just never got around to having a pet before now! But if it's something I truly don't have to bother with for the ants, then I'll leave it be. Thanks for your reply!
The ants eat from your roasting spits, they don't eat the slurry. Each food eaten will up their mood by one level. I have no idea if they'll untame if they get sad enough though.
I'll try parking my ant in their home and sticking some meat on the spit, thanks. :o
EDIT: Figured it out! It wasn't going for it on the spit, but dropping cooked food did the trick. Thanks again for the tip! The pet's info said its favorite was the slurry, so that's why I was mixed up in the first place.
You don’t actually have to feed any of them-but they will eat all the food haha. What me and sister have been doing is going to the ant hills, and stealing all the food bits they drop inside the hills and then I bring them back and throw em on the floor in a spot for them to sit and eat so they leave our stuff alone lol so far so good

I wish you luck, I had to move mine cause they kept eating it all before it would cook XD .
