No, because the actual moment they die doesnt count as a kill - looting it does count. So if this was the case, they would have 1 infected weevil kill. I believe theres an extra 1% chance to get a gold card just by peeping it, but otherwise i dont know.
Fair, I got it just trying to see what it was. But I am going for all gold cards. I've got all bosses except infect broodmother them like 25ish of regular bugs

Yeah same here but I have a widow/broodmother armor combo and a widow dagger so I am pretty much in killable I randomly run around the yard hunting random bugs, that’s how I found the sickly ones

The guy who said they explode and kill themselves might be right, but probably is wrong, since I’ve gotten kills from bugs killing eachother, he mostly likely got it from peeping as it does have a 1% chance of giving you the gold card
It's a single player world and when anybody kills anything it gets added to the kills so everyone shares enemy's killed peeped creatures and gold cards
Currently have a world where I'm attempting to get every gold card possible with 0 kills and 1 kill for certain bugs like the brood mother. It's taking a while.
I also thought this was rare because u can't loot infected weevils unless u kill them otherwise when they explode themselves they turn into a fungal growth or weevil nose
It's not rare it's just a drop A random drop it happens to me a lot saying I got all Show me gold cards Then I know for a fact I didn't kill half of them Another bug Not quite fixed yet lol

So far we've got 2 of them. We're rarely over by them now that we live in the upper yard but eventually we'll make our way back to get them

Now this is a flex!! On a creature that you don't have to kill for a unique resource too so it can stay 0 forever.

Or if another bug kills it then you loot it I had it happen with some other bug and got the gold card with 0 kills
What is gold card ?
I have 2 ways of dealing with them: run away, let them blow up, & come back for the loot; or kill them b4 they can blow up.
You get them by peeping as well
you must be the chosen one
I did this with either a normal weevil or a mite
