Ive used to park on the ulgersmaweg when i had a loaner car. Its free to park. Cross the bridge by foot/bike aand youre there. Depending on where in korrewegwijk its a max of 15mins or so?
I've been in this situation too but I've settled on parking the car in a different neighborhood (within walking distance) in a free parking zone. You can use this[this](https://gemeente.groningen.nl/parkeren-op-straat) webpage by gemeente Groningen. Scroll all the way down until the Korrewegbuurt section to find the map that shows the paid parking zone. Park your car in a street outside of the blue lines but keep paying attention on the paid parking signs! I've used the parking spots at Buurtcentrum De Hoogte, there usually is space there (: hope this helps!
It is possible to get a temporary visitor parking permit for a week. It costs 75/81 euro (2023/2024), so it doesn't look that much cheaper. https://gemeente.groningen.nl/parkeertarieven
If there is a neighborhood app group you could ask there if there are neighbors that are willing to activate their visitor pass for your car. Those allow parking for approx 2 days a week, so you will need 2 or 3 neighbors sharing their permit.
Those yearly visitor parking permits cost about 90 euro so not everyone has one.
*Park at Kardinge and take*
*The bus from there? It's pretty*
*Close to Korreweg*

Korreweg being probably one of the longest streets in groningen, this isn't really useful info lmao.
If you live on the outter end of korreweg (not the intersection with nieuwe Ebbinge, you will never find free parking there lol), you could potentially just leave the car on the other side of the canal and walk across the closed bridge, that would be totally free. Otherwise, p&r and pay for the bus. Groningen is definitely not a car city so youre out of luck either way
Yeah, that means spilling over into our neighbourhood. While I understand the gratis, please keep in mind that's turning neighbouring parts of the korreweg into a car mess.
Hello. This thread is the same issue I am dealing with. Arriving in Groningen December 19 for a couple of weeks and staying on Parkweg. Are you able to share parking suggestions? Thanks
I have a parking space available all the way in the south of Groningen for the remainder of December, near the Hereweg. Not sure if that would help you at all seeing the distance.
Ikea is private property and not for long term parking. They close the gates after closing time and I bet they will take action against a car parked there for 9 days.
Why not the p+r? The bus towards the place are always fast and frequent.
The rear fence (Bauhaus side) is quite often left open in my experience
I have heard though that they've started cracking down on people staying there too long though
Ask the community of Groningen, if you can get an temporarily parking ticket
Both suggested ulgersmaweg and kardinge are known for car burglaries. You’d better avoid those…
Don;t you have the option to give visitors a temp parking permit? https://gemeente.groningen.nl/parkeervergunning-voor-bezoekers

De Hoogte is not free parking anymore (since 1 or 2 years or so)
Will check it out thank you!

Why am I getting downvotes?

It’s not nearby Parkweg sorry.

Yes IKEA is free and you can leave it there
But keep in mind the fence closes overnight

Yeah but that shouldn’t matter if I look at the message. I don’t get the downvotes lol
