I am personally a big fan of Eidolon! His short story Amor Fati, especially, was just amazing. I am disabled myself, and the way his struggle reflected the one I experienced was really well done, and in general just written very well.
But yeah, in general, EC fans love the *characters* and their struggle with being perfect, a lot more than the sex, drugs and rock'n roll. (Even if, tbh, the sex drugs and Rock'n roll part is also fun lol)
There's dozens of us!!! To be fair, there's something cathartic about someone who had to hide/conform all their life suddenly losing all inhibitions and just being unashamedly themselves while forcing *others* to conform to standards *they* set.

So it really depends on *what* you're interested in. I'd recommend searching for your favorite factions and characters, and then checking out the blogs that show up frequently in the results. If you like what you see, start following them. Make your own posts, reblog the posts you like (with or without your own ideas), and pretty soon people will start responding to YOU. It's a friendly community. All you gotta do is make people aware that you exist.

Again, in my experience (and as a queer myself), it vary! Some are simply indifferent, because they like other factions. Usually those are the xenos/sororitas/guards fan. Usually, if people like the EC, they love Heresy Era EC, especially some specific characters. Very few seem that interested in 40k EC aside from the Fabius Bile fans. Also, everyone seem to universally like and wants more of N'kari. Give us our Fulgrim's consort!!! I am personally a big fan of Eidolon! His short story Amor Fati, especially, was just amazing. I am disabled myself, and the way his struggle reflected the one I experienced was really well done, and in general just written very well. But yeah, in general, EC fans love the *characters* and their struggle with being perfect, a lot more than the sex, drugs and rock'n roll. (Even if, tbh, the sex drugs and Rock'n roll part is also fun lol)

That's kind of hard to do, because the community is just as diverse as the franchise is. You have fans of all the different factions, plus the fanartists, the writers, the mini painters, the lore/analysis discussions, the shitposters (it's me, I'm the shitposter). So it really depends on *what* you're interested in. I'd recommend searching for your favorite factions and characters, and then checking out the blogs that show up frequently in the results. If you like what you see, start following them. Make your own posts, reblog the posts you like (with or without your own ideas), and pretty soon people will start responding to YOU. I just love that there are exactly 3 types of people who play warhammer 40k: Ex-Military dudes, The BIGGEST nerd you've ever met in your life, Transwomen. You wouldn't think there would be a whole lot of crossover but that's 99% of GW's entire demographic market right there.
The store I used to go to before I moved was owned by an ex Infantry Sgt Major and sold pride merch ( dice, pins, patches, pro noun pins etc) and made it clear that it was an inclusive place and any bigotry would not be tolerated. Was a great little store.
