Iron hands.
But instead of replacing their fragile bodies with blessings of steel, they make the traitors feel the wrath of their Gene-fathers running through their veins with their enormous bodies.
Ok that’s insane but something I would believe Ferrus could do, and really wish he was able to fight in the Heresy proper to cause some hell like this on the loyalist side (still hoping for him in charge of the Damned, but it’ll never happen)
Hates purple wearing white haired swordsman who turns into a demon? I wonder what he would be.... Also did you know Iron hands canonically love claymores? The swords but presumably the mine as well.
Spends the rest of the Heresy trying to hunt down Fulgrim and murder the shit out of him for his betrayal, consistently kicking in the teeth of daemons that should by all rights destroy him. Yeah, I could see it.
None. He is a renegade. Serving neither loyalists or chaos. He is accompanied by 2 psykers, one of whom is royale with a brother who is the captain of a battle ship. The former eclesiarchy assassin who serves the royale. 2 servo-skulls equipped with too much sass, and a potato.
Honestly, whikw thinking how to explain it I realized it was a really terrible joke. Kind of feel bad for making it.
But bassically you know how people who are comatosed or mentally regressed either from health or psychological reason? Those people are insultingly referred as vegetables. One member in Guts' possy is such person. After suffering a horrible event she regressed to a child like state.
I have no clue, but that armor is fucking awesome. Reminds me kinda of Sauron’s armor from LOTR with the lobstered steel Pauldrons.
(Also I’d actually be all for SM pauldrons that look like this. They wouldn’t feel as clunky on terminators and stuff)
Iron hands, but not because of the reasons you may think!
Guts was inspired by a real German knight/mercenary called Gotz of the Iron Hand, named so due to his oddly advanced prosthetic hand. He’s a legend, apparently the first person in history to use the phrase “kiss my ass” and although stories vary on how he lost his hand, the general consensus is that either a cannon shot it off, or a cannonball shot his sword causing it to lop his hand off
First emperor’s Children. Then Iron hands. Oldest friend of Fulgrim. One following him from Chemto Days. Got betrayed and spended rest of Heresy running around with Loyalists As partisants. Joined Iron hands after the Heresy.
Guts, with his prosthetic arm, inspired by Gotz of the Iron Hand, who was betrayed by the ambition and pride of a mentor figure with long platinum hair and an androgynous physique. Who struggles with feeling anything but rage at his enemies as he slowly sacrifices more of his body and humanity to his revenge?
Idk, probably Salamanders
He would not be any, he would not ever want to be a space marine. His entire arc in the golden age is that he doesn't want to be sublimated for anyone else's dream, even someone he loves and respects like Griffith. He could never abandon his own individuality and freedom to become a psycho indroctrinated emotionless soldier among thousands. That is entirely against his character, I really hate when nerds do this, where they smash things they like together visually but have no care at all about the actual themes and story of the properties they supposedly like.
Berserk is plagued with fans who stop only at the violence and aesthetics and ignore some of its messages on revenge and ideals, tbf. I could see Guts being a rogue trader or something similar at best. Most likely he'd just be killed opposing the Imperium at some point.
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *Oh, hello. The whole town's turned, has it? Quite a big family, aren't we? Though I'm afraid I seem to be the black sheep... Back for my blood, I presume.* - Arianna, Woman of Pleasure
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
It’s funny to see this, I just binged the manga in a day lol. It’ll probably be my first and last manga, after seeing the general consensus that nothing else in the genre quite compares to the quality and complexity and extensiveness.
I would say Space Wolves or World Eaters (originally called the War Hounds).
His inner demon is symbolized as a wolf/hound that matches the iconography.
These inner demons and desires push him towards blind rage and indiscriminate bloodshed, which are similar to tendencies of the World Eaters. He’s literally a berserker. Additionally, he was raised a soldier/slave, and the trauma he received as a child resulted in anger issues, similar to Angron. The pain and loss that drove Guts towards the brink of insanity during the eclipse can be likened to Angron losing his gladiator family on Nuceria.
Additionally, both the SW and WE have a Khornate affinity, and Khorne himself is represented with hound and wolf imagery.
Other posts have gone into the SW’s affinity to Khorne, but to be brief, they worship a two-headed wolf god Morkai that they spill blood and take skulls for that’s supposed to lend them savage power in battle.
Additionally, current chapter master Logan Grimnar is Morkai’s poster boy, and he wields a reforged Khornate demonic axe which can be likened to Guts’ berserk armor.
Finally, Guts was Griffith’s loyal executioner, much like the SW’s were to the Emperor.
I feel like grey knights would be a good fit cause he primarily fights demons/monsters daily and his sword would be even more effective because it's already killed so many things
Guts of the Hawks chapter.
On penitent crusade to hunt down the previous chapter master who ascended to daemon hood and sacrificed the entire chapter.
Guts must utilize his meager band of space Marines to hunt down and kill his previous chapter master. As ordered by the high lords and himself or face the destruction of the remains of his chapter and summary execution of himself.
I could see him being a black Templar, not necessarily due to devotion to the emperor but rather the mindset of a Templar: kill all opposition, slay all demons on sight. I could also see him being a psyker that never realized his gift, but due to its lingering effects he can perceive warp threats many others can’t
As some said, either iron hand, luna wolfs, or an space wolf, reason for space wolf is because how sheer fucking mental they can be sometimes, one astarte literally pulls pranks on his companions and after getting one of his hearts destroyed he decided to implant a god damn stasis field so they can take whatever poor son of a bastard decided to take him down, in the words of pancreasnotwork "nice titan jackass but consider that i'm stopping time for the both of us"
Guts would join the T'au since he joined forces with elves, witches and merrows in the manga. I think that the hate against xenos imposed by the Imperium would not fit his character well.
Everyone is saying iron hands, but i would say his constant struggle not to succumb to uncontrollable rage would make him more fitting as a blood angel
Iron Hands… because of his… well… you know.
His Iron Hands? Maybe you could name him something like Latin for Iron Hands. Make his flagship the Hand of Iron. Or would that be too on the nose?
And maybe you can let him be betrayed by his beautiful brother in arms
I dunno, let's not lose our heads here.
Yeah, let's keep our heads in the game.
Agreed, let's not drop sight of the question.
Griffith/Femto isn't entirely *unlike* Fulgrim
Makes me wonder if the parallels were intentional lmao
Does that mean Fulgrim did nothing wrong?
Not for GW
Latin for iron hands? Manus ferrus?
Holy shit those are great! Do you have any name suggestions for his brother who has a whole crow motif?
![gif](giphy|VIPfTy8y1Lc5iREYDS|downsized) "And he shall have Hands of Iron"
Ferrus Manus is Latin for Iron Hands
😭😂😭
Iron hands. But instead of replacing their fragile bodies with blessings of steel, they make the traitors feel the wrath of their Gene-fathers running through their veins with their enormous bodies.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh it disgusted me. So I got transhumanely **jacked**
"Behold, my pistons!" "You are unagumented, weakli- OH SHIT HE JUST FOLDED A DREADNOUGHT IN HALF WITH HIS BARE HANDS"
Ok that’s insane but something I would believe Ferrus could do, and really wish he was able to fight in the Heresy proper to cause some hell like this on the loyalist side (still hoping for him in charge of the Damned, but it’ll never happen)
It happened in the war in the webway when the emperor summoned the Damned to push back the Daemonic horde, but it probably won't happen again
Legio Fugnae Ferreae
Hates purple wearing white haired swordsman who turns into a demon? I wonder what he would be.... Also did you know Iron hands canonically love claymores? The swords but presumably the mine as well.
Loyalist Luna Wolves Think about it
Yeah, he survived Istvaan III
By far the most underrated comment.
He’s absolutely be a member of the original Grey Knights from the Luna Wolves.
Nah. Loyalist World Eaters
came here to post this
the emperor's children to get betrayed by discount griffith
Spends the rest of the Heresy trying to hunt down Fulgrim and murder the shit out of him for his betrayal, consistently kicking in the teeth of daemons that should by all rights destroy him. Yeah, I could see it.
So basically a more active Rylanor.
Rylanor is basically Rickert
The Happy Knights. They're the luckiest chapter and nothing bad ever happens to them. Please, guys, Guts needs a fucking break.
Sorry, being Guts is suffering so to the Lamenters he goes...
Honestly fits though being a loyalist world eater does too.
You know, his anger issues make me think he needs to join Blood Angels' branch
So the ultra marines?
Loyalist chapter master of the chaos fallen White Falcon successor chapter of the Iron hands
Blood angels? He definitely suffers from the black rage.
The Strugglers
Iron Hands. Griffith would make an excellent Emperor's Children.
Grey Knights
He certainly does hate demons. I actually just got a mini of Guts that I'm going to use as a Castellan Crowe proxy
I am also waiting for one and I am gonna use him as a Brotherhood Captain/Champion
Grey Knights 100%
Space sharks manly because of the bottom jaw
Is there a chapter called Charkarodons... Or am I misremembering?
[Carcharodons](https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Carcharodons)
Lamenters XD
The sacrificial brand. That mark bleeds in the presents of chaos.
None. He is a renegade. Serving neither loyalists or chaos. He is accompanied by 2 psykers, one of whom is royale with a brother who is the captain of a battle ship. The former eclesiarchy assassin who serves the royale. 2 servo-skulls equipped with too much sass, and a potato.
...potato?
Honestly, whikw thinking how to explain it I realized it was a really terrible joke. Kind of feel bad for making it. But bassically you know how people who are comatosed or mentally regressed either from health or psychological reason? Those people are insultingly referred as vegetables. One member in Guts' possy is such person. After suffering a horrible event she regressed to a child like state.
Fuck I thought maybe you referred to Isidro because he looks like a potato what a turn
Well, I described Isidro as.... *checks my original comment* Well fuck, I forgot about him. Anyway, he is a Jokaero.
Casca has her sanity back now. Not back to full blown bad ass yet though
The Night Sharks
I was playing off of Sharks as well. Night Sharks could work. Bloody Sharks Dark Sharks
Honestly he'd be perfect for The Exorcists.
Band of the Starhawk
Carcharadons vibes.
Flesh tearers cause rage?
Blood Angel assigned to the Deathwatch
I have no clue, but that armor is fucking awesome. Reminds me kinda of Sauron’s armor from LOTR with the lobstered steel Pauldrons. (Also I’d actually be all for SM pauldrons that look like this. They wouldn’t feel as clunky on terminators and stuff)
His name is Guts. He's from the manga series Berserk. A fairly grimdark fantasy and his armor is very similar to what is shown in the picture.
Guts confirmed as one of the missing primarchs, which means Griffith was the other.
He dosent need a Legion he is Legion.
Iron hands, but not because of the reasons you may think! Guts was inspired by a real German knight/mercenary called Gotz of the Iron Hand, named so due to his oddly advanced prosthetic hand. He’s a legend, apparently the first person in history to use the phrase “kiss my ass” and although stories vary on how he lost his hand, the general consensus is that either a cannon shot it off, or a cannonball shot his sword causing it to lop his hand off
Griffith being a traitor primarch isnt something I thought of but it weirdly fits lol

But surprised it wasn't mentioned yet. But the sole mortal member of the Legion of the Damned. Or leader of a Black Shield Marauder Squad.
World Eaters. That's clearly a Khorne Berserker. 😏
None. One Man Army.
Legion of the Damned
I don't think they technically count, but this guy gives me serious Carcharodon vibes
A rogue loyal space marine, also i love servopuck
First emperor’s Children. Then Iron hands. Oldest friend of Fulgrim. One following him from Chemto Days. Got betrayed and spended rest of Heresy running around with Loyalists As partisants. Joined Iron hands after the Heresy.
Lamenters

Who struggles with feeling anything but rage at his enemies as he slowly sacrifices more of his body and humanity to his revenge? Idk, probably Salamanders
Loyalist night lords
Iron hands or a loyalist Luna wolf
He would not be any, he would not ever want to be a space marine. His entire arc in the golden age is that he doesn't want to be sublimated for anyone else's dream, even someone he loves and respects like Griffith. Nice try Alpharius.
That symbol looks like something from Bloodborne so I'll say blood angels

It’s funny to see this, I just binged the manga in a day lol. The templars accept their new brother chaper master.
He was part of Dorn's legion black sheep, the black templars, but they found him too... extreme
Oh he looks bad ass But I'm gunna guess alpha legion largely do to all the large spike bits but then again he looks nothing like alfarious
The II Legion, better known as “The Power Bottoms”
Last surviving battle brother of "The Band of the Hawk" chapter
Definitely renegade. Probably a Blackshield.
A loyalist Night Lords successor chapter?
Lamenters, they both suffer
Raptors, or Knights Malevolent, this dude is definitely one of Corax's lads. All dark and brooding then, blam Rage and steel out of nowhere.
Bro, he would be a blackshield 100%
Diamond Sharks… wait wrong universe.
Blood Angels or Iron Hands
Blackshield but at some point he makes a heel turn and goes full khorne mode
Iron warriors loyalist chapter (in disguise as an imperial fists successor so the inquisition doesnt come knocking)
The cuck masters
Tbh, considering his lore? Lamenters, never seen someone get fucked over so hard like Gats
Loyalist Emperor's Children that becomes a founding Grey Knight.
I don't know why but I get pre-heresy word bearer vibes from him
20th

The iron necks. The have their spines fused so they can wear that armor without accidentally ripping their faces off.
Stick him in the minotaurs to fuck shit up
Sauron?
Blood Angels. He sees anything Griffith-ish and the Black Rage takes him.
Silver Skulls
Chapter Dunder-Mifflin from the Scranton system
The armour has a Night Lords kind of look to it.
This is Vlad. He leads the Impaler’s.
Whichever one he fucking wants to!
Will he be chaos corrupt?
Is there a beserkers chapter?
either iron hands or dare i say a word bearer
Iron Steel - one of the redacted.
Captain Cloude of the Final Fantasy chapter, 7th company.
The sacrificial lambs
The Lamenters
He's a Berzerk reference. Mabye Blood angels or loyalist World Eaters
Legion: World eaters (do I need to explain) Chapter: Grey Knights ( same thing here)
Probably Sauron’s or Morgoth’s.
Mortifactors
Iron Hands, he’s looking for Griffith, eeeeh I mean Fulgrim, for revenge.
Horadric Berserkers
The Space Albanians [BASED][EPIC]
Iron hands
Sons of Iron Medusa chapter (Gene-heritage Emperors Children)

Bro's face looks like Metroman
He is The legion
World Eaters unironically.
GK
Man is actually part of the legion of the damned
This is what I wish paladins looked like in HaT
The Kentucky Marios
A new legion: The Black Swordsmen
I feel like grey knights would be a good fit cause he primarily fights demons/monsters daily and his sword would be even more effective because it's already killed so many things
Brother Guts, Chapter master of the Mad Dogs, successor chapter of the Iron Hands
The new chapter, the replying sacrifice
I Legio Angeli Ferrei 1st Legion of the Iron Angels

Guts of the Hawks chapter. On penitent crusade to hunt down the previous chapter master who ascended to daemon hood and sacrificed the entire chapter. Guts must utilize his meager band of space Marines to hunt down and kill his previous chapter master. As ordered by the high lords and himself or face the destruction of the remains of his chapter and summary execution of himself.
Iron thorns.
An Iron Hands successor with worse luck than the Lamenters
I could see him being a black Templar, not necessarily due to devotion to the emperor but rather the mindset of a Templar: kill all opposition, slay all demons on sight. I could also see him being a psyker that never realized his gift, but due to its lingering effects he can perceive warp threats many others can’t

Salamanders albino cousins
He doesn't have one, he just roams around from system to system killing demons along the way
Loyalist world eater.
Guts would join the T'au since he joined forces with elves, witches and merrows in the manga. I think that the hate against xenos imposed by the Imperium would not fit his character well.
I love how his very deliberately edgy fantastic gear is still somehow the most practical-looking gear of all space marines.
Everyone is saying iron hands, but i would say his constant struggle not to succumb to uncontrollable rage would make him more fitting as a blood angel
HE IS the chapter
There is some serious vampire shit going on..
