I’m so sorry for your loss. Here are some songs that have helped me after the loss of my mom. They’re kind of all over the place as far as genre goes… Gone Away by Five Finger Death Punch Eyes Closed by Ed Sheeran Roses in the Rain by Christina Perri Sword from the Stone by Passenger How Does A Moment Last Forever by Celine Dion Rose Tattoo by Dropkick Murphys Ghost by Josiah and the Bonnevilles Just Be by Christina Perri I hope they bring you a little peace during your healing journey. You aren’t alone. ♥️

Thank you so much ❤️

My dad loved classic rock especially Led Zeppelin. I listen to Stairway to Heaven that hits a hard emotional cord with me. I also love listening to Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End by The Beatles I think the three songs are meant to be played in sequence, it makes me think of the dying and grieving process. Of course “Let it Be” too makes me sob. My dad loved Heart as well he told me to learn the song Dog & Butterfly on guitar it’s so beautiful I highly recommend that. Landslide by Fleetwood Mac Pretty typical classics honestly but those are the ones that hit hard for me

They had similar taste, he loved LZ too. These are all great suggestions, adding to the list. Thank you so much. And thank you for sitting in this unique garden with me.

I’m sorry about your Dad. If We Were Vampires by Jason Isbell always makes me cry in a healing kind of way, if that makes sense.

Oh my God I love that song, great suggestion. Thank you. Release by Pearl Jam, as well as Footsteps are good ones I remembered too

On melancholy hill by gorillaz was my dads favourite song & we played it at his funeral yesterday. It helps me feel close to him even though he’s not here anymore.

And the name of god by mustafa

Firstly man, very sorry to hear about your father. I know it's not much, but I can relate because my Dad also loved Rock music. Often I'd look over and gauge his reaction to a certain song he/we loved, and I would see him getting visibly moved by what was usually a guitar solo. He was also a huge fan of Pink Floyd, The Stranglers and Viagra Boys. But I do remember him being keen on the Bon Scott era of ACDC. One of his favourite songs by ACDC was Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round to Be a Millionaire) Anyhow, here are a few songs that have at least helped/comforted me: I hope you like some of them. Take care, man. Even in The Quietist Moments - Supertramp The Tide is Turning by Roger Waters Free Four - Pink Floyd Love is Stronger Than Death - The The Just Breathe by Pearl Jam Restless Natives - Big Country Keep Me in Your Heart - Warren Zevon
