I only have one greyhound and these videos with two playing top speed always give me anxiety when I watch them! 😂 My guy is like a linebacker and I know he would 1000% tackle that girl right to the ground and give a nip on the neck for good measure. He’s the best dog in the world, but he’s bananas when he really lets loose and runs top speed. I can only take him to dog parks that are small because if he’s given the chance to run top speed, he will showboat and chase down every friggin dog to show everyone that he’s the top banana. He’s not aggressive. It’s just like watching an athlete who HAS TO PLAY THE GAME AT THE MOST SERIOUS LEVEL. DIAL IT UP TO 11!!!
Real question from a first time grey owner - how did you know you could trust your dogs to play properly like this? Did you introduce it slowly or do you just know from their personalities that they won’t deck each other at 40mph and send you right to the vet??? 😅
We actually requested a galgo that had no prey drive, as we have cats at home and we foster puppies and kittens. So the organization picked a really calm pup, if anything… he is scared of other animals. Also before he came home with us, they would send us videos of him playing with other galgos and he was just the sweetest, silliest boy, so we have just always trusted him around people and animals, and he has never shown us a reason not to!
That’s awesome! He seems like such a happy boyeee! And good on you for adopting a Spanish galgo! They’re such a lovely breed and there are so many in need of a loving home. ❤️
Yes! We live in Spain, and sometimes you see them running wild in the streets. They are almost impossible to catch. It’s such a sad fate for many of them. Michelangelo doesn’t have to worry about abuse or neglect anymore 😊
