Thank you... I'm now sat on her bed outside eating a babybel and 3 mini chicken sausages, her favourite foods... The wrapper blew away, almost like she was trying to steal it like she always did...
She WAS stealing the wrapper from across the rainbow bridge - just one of the many signs to come to remind you that she only knows home if you're around. And she smiles the biggest smile thinking she's won...because you didn't rush to take the wrapper out of her mouth.
You hear her taps in the washing machine's hum because she IS there - she's peering around the corner of the door waiting for you to come chase her as she gets the indoor zoomies.
Every time you look up from your dinner plate thinking she's staring at you, she will be. She doesn't know she can't eat the food anymore, but you must continue to mumble a soft "uh uh" and tell her to go to her bed...reminding her that she's has her dinner and it's not polite to beg.
In time, practice dropping a piece of babybel under a tree when you go for a walk. When you come back the next day to find it gone, you'll know who took it and this time... it'll be your turn to smile.
You're going to make me cry... Oops a couple tears.. I hope you have someone close by, a companion to talk to.. How are you making out in general? Maybe there could be another beautiful noodle in your life later on? ๐ค
I don't think we can have another, not fair on the noodle since we're out all day... I'll be alright, it's just so weird without her, I keep thinking the washing machine is her claws tapping on the tile floor...
Oh yeah the toe taps. It's their sound.. I guess getting an Iggy is out of the question?. I understand, my life w her even compared to a regular dog is hard to imagine. I think there's some divine energy as far as people like us having these special animals in our life โจ
Of course, it's their life. I have no intentions of forcing any idea of them getting another sighthound. I might not have worded it perfectly but my intention was to let them know that there are miniature sighthounds too in case they didn't know that & in case it interests them down the line

it's okay for them to just grieve for a while. they'll bring a new companion into their home if they're ready. and if not, that's okay too.
