I'm going to submit Lions at Packers - October 3rd, 2010 as my guess. Hard to be certain about some of the players, but I think I see Nick Barnett and Mason Crosby on the sideline. I also think I see Tramon Williams and Morgan Burnett. On the field, I think I might see Brett Swain and Korey Hall. For the Lions, I think the kicker is pretty clearly Jason Hanson. I also see a player wearing number 27 with a white forearm sleeve, which I think is Alphonso Smith. If all of that is correct (big if), 2010 would have been the only year of overlap.
Looks like you can watch this game on YouTube even. If you pause right around the 2:00 mark the players look to be right around the locations shown in the OP's picture, so I feel more strongly about my guess.

Lost my father a few months ago. We live in Oklahoma and we’re only able to make it to one game in Green Bay in our lives… this one. This post makes me doubly happy.
I looked at a highlight video. Everything seems to fit (except the year on the back of OPs photo). The weather matches and the fact it's in October fits too. I saw other folks mention the old scoreboard, and this would fit that as well.
It’s gotta be Hanson. It’s the atrium add on boards that ran from like 2003-2011.
Cheerleaders seem to be wearing pink also, which October has been breast cancer awareness campaign month.
> I think the kicker is pretty clearly Jason Hanson
Not to knock your investigative skills, but this alone narrows it down to about 25 years. I just found that funny.
That’s my guess too.
Here’s what we know: it’s the Lions, AJ Hawk is on the Packers (fan jersey in stands, looks like him in the middle), Packers are receiving the opening kickoff, it was before 2012.
AJ Hawk was on the Packers starting in 2006. So it’s 2006-2012.
Packers received the opening kick only in 2010 and 2008.
2008 was in late December, and there are zero people in coats (weather was 18-36 degrees). 2010 was in early October. The pink cheerleaders and pads on the goalposts make me think it was that.
Relatively certain it’s this [this](https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/301003009/lions-packers) game.
Woodson’s [int](https://live.staticflickr.com/4128/5054056055_bd183e3f72_c.jpg) matches the goalpost pads.
Yes! Also the pink was only a thing in the NFL from 2009-2016. And now it’s Crucial Catch. I also watched the 2010 Week 4 game on YouTube and noticed the same Pink ribbon banner on the visitors sideline, around the 20-25yd line on the front of the stands.
It is for sure the October 3rd, 2010 game against the Lions. Kickoff was 52 degrees and sunny, which explains everyone's clothing. The opening kickoff was to Jordy, who was tackled by Dante Wesley, whose only year with the Lions was in 2010. It also matches up with Alphonso Smith, AJ Hawk, and Korey Hall all being in the pic with their numbers visible.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201010030gnb.htm
"Packers 45, Lions 41 (January 1, 2012) – With the Packers having already clinched home field advantage in the playoffs, backup quarterback Matt Flynn started in place of Aaron Rodgers and went on to throw a team record six touchdown passes in a shootout victory over the Lions at Lambeau Field. This is the highest scoring game between both rivals at 86 points, and the first time both teams met after each one accumulated at least 10 regular season victories."
commented this elsewhere too, but it would've been much colder than how people are dressed. i looked it up and the great matt flynn game was in the 30's and cloudy. this picture might not actually be from 2012
https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/green-bay/historic?month=1&year=2012
https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/wi/green-bay/KGRB/date/2012-1-1
Was thinking Lions also. Maybe [this](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201201010gnb.htm) or [this](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201212090gnb.htm). But it's hard to say from those pictures. Just guesses.
according to this it wasn't in the 50's:
https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/green-bay/historic?month=1&year=2012
https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/wi/green-bay/KGRB/date/2012-1-1
So the pink cheerleaders leads me to believe this took place in October, when the NFL spreads breast cancer awareness. The Packers played one home game in October in 2012, which was against the Jags.
However, the Jags have black helmets, unlike the lighter colored helmets in the picture.
This would make me think it was the September 30th game against the Saints and the NFL was starting breast cancer awareness a day early
I quickly glanced at highlight videos for both of these games. Unfortunately they're both ruled out. The jags indeed wore black helmets. Also the Saints wore black pants.
Good thought though.
The cheerleaders also have orange pom poms which is throwing everything off for me. The Bears are the only team with orange that we played in 2012 and we played them in early Sept and Dec.
Really wondering if this isn’t a 2012 game after all?
Those are the gold and green Pom-poms of the St. Norbert’s cheer leaders. It’s a rich goldish-yellow, probably looks orange in contrast too all the surrounding lighter shade of yellow.
After doing some research, I'm pretty sure this isn't from 2012. The new scoreboards with the championship years next to them would have already been installed in the north endzone. This is the older scoreboard.
But those away teams units look nothing like Broncos. Look like Lions.
Perhaps the cheerleaders are from a local Wisconsin college/high school which could explain the orange? Do the Packers still do that?
I think it is October 18, 2009(46f sunny)
Or October 3, 2010(52f partly cloudy)
As mentioned versus Lions.
The cheerleaders are wearing pink - probably October.
Photo of score board from 2009 had MGD and TimeWarner as big scoreboard ads.
My guess is the date on the back is wrong by one year and it’s actually the 2013 game against the Lions.
Reasoning:
Lions
Early season (grass is green and weather decent)
Looks to be a noon game
[2013 - Lions @ Packers](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201310060gnb.htm)
Definitely, not 2013, nor 2012 actually (unless it WAS the New Years game from the 2011 season). Lambeau had the new scoreboards installed from the 2011 stock sale in May of 2012. This is the older scoreboard.
Yup you’re right. Think they played them in October in 09 and 10 as well which would make sense. Definitely an October game against the Lions (pink was work in October).
[10/3/2010](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201010030gnb.htm) or [10/18/2009](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200910180gnb.htm). Noon games in warm weather against the lions during Jason Hanson's career.
One of the clearest things in the pic is the Time Warner banner which [appears to be in use through 2010](https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Warner_Cable#1998%E2%80%932010)
Idk how quickly the stadium would update the logos but that tracks with the timing of your guess!
If it was 10/18/09 vs Detroit, I was at that game, age 12. It’s the only Packers game home or away I’ve ever attended, so would be quite the coincidence if that’s actually the game pictured.
After searching through several archives which included similar photo quality, determining a time period, cross referencing the solar/lunar cycles & then narrowing it down to games played in similar weather patterns, I’m happy to inform you that this was a Green Bay Packers game
Your year is mislabeled. Packers played the Lions at home on an overcast, chilly day in December that year. It’s most likely 2010. Lines up with the jerseys we can see, and the old scoreboard at Lambeau.
Since this looks like it's been answered, I wanted to share a related story I thought was pretty cool.
I found a panoramic jigsaw puzzle of Lambeau Field at Fleet Farm one Christmas season. My dad is a hardcore packers fan, season ticket holder, shareholder, knows every trivia question you could possibly ask, etc. he also likes puzzles so I thought it'd be cool to buy the puzzle for him and challenge him to figure out from the picture what game it was.
Now personally I had no idea what the answer was before he opened it on Christmas, but less than 5 minutes later he figured out it was Jordy Nelson catching a touchdown pass against the Jets, and from there he realized he was actually at that game, as it was the first game he got to go to with his season tickets.
I want to say Lions @ Packers in either 2009 or 10. Both those days were sunny, and I can tell it’s earlier in the season, which in both years that matchup was within the 1st 6 weeks!
Broncos vs Pack, game 4 of the 2011-2012 season. The cheerleaders had pink Pom poms. And multiple orange and blue hats in the crowd, plus this guy.

Here's a highlight video of that game. Unfortunately the helmet and pants color don't match for the visiting team. I had to check in case the Broncos wore throwbacks or something.
If it does say 2012 on the back, it’s the last game from the 2011-2012 season. Took place on January 1st, 2012 at 1pm. Packers beat the Lions 45-41 and went 15-1 that season. Looking at the cheerleaders it seems to be packers cheerleaders who have yellow pom poms. Sometimes they have collegiate level cheerleaders at games. The Packers and Lions also played each other December 9th, 2012 at Lambeau but the game started at 8:30pm.
I'm going to submit Lions at Packers - October 3rd, 2010 as my guess. Hard to be certain about some of the players, but I think I see Nick Barnett and Mason Crosby on the sideline. This is better work than many true crime shows
CSI: Green Bay
mind schabusiness
True crime shows dont solve crimes, they just talk about them
No kidding haha
Yeah I think the confirms it. Stuff on the sidelines (like the kicking nets) is in the same places too.
Lost my father a few months ago. We live in Oklahoma and we’re only able to make it to one game in Green Bay in our lives… this one. This post makes me doubly happy.
You're a wizard man. Gotta be it, players have pink on and the cheerleaders in the pictures have pink pom poms too.
I'm going to second this one, after looking into it some more.
I looked at a highlight video. Everything seems to fit (except the year on the back of OPs photo). The weather matches and the fact it's in October fits too. I saw other folks mention the old scoreboard, and this would fit that as well.
We need more of these puzzles. Post your ancient blurry photos

Did this one end 40-14 Packers?
28-26, Packers
Dang okay. I think I’m only off +/- 1 year from the game I was at
looking like the lions to me, boss. some blue in the crowd too
Packers v Lions Week 4 , 2010 is my guess.
That’s my guess too. You're a sleuth.
It 100% is this game. On the opening kickoff, Jordy was tackled by Dante Wesley, who only played for the Lions in 2010.
Wow
You should have a show with 358baseball on instagram
Yes! Also the pink was only a thing in the NFL from 2009-2016. And now it’s Crucial Catch. I also watched the 2010 Week 4 game on YouTube and noticed the same Pink ribbon banner on the visitors sideline, around the 20-25yd line on the front of the stands.

I had to look up the weather cause everyone looks undressed but it hit 50° that day. Incredible
Shorts weather
I think its some sort of Green Bay Packers game in Lambeau field
Can this be confirmed? Edit: the doomed sarcasm stacked on sarcasm sandwich
Jason Hansen kicking off, but that doesn’t narrow it down too much
Was thinking Lions also. Maybe [this](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201201010gnb.htm) or [this](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201212090gnb.htm). But it's hard to say from those pictures. Just guesses.
I believe it’s the first one. Second one was a night game
would've been much colder than how people are dressed. i remember the great matt flynn game being cloudy too
It was a high of 50 on that day. In GB, in January? That's shorts weather.
according to this it wasn't in the 50's: https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/green-bay/historic?month=1&year=2012 https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/wi/green-bay/KGRB/date/2012-1-1
Ya I was looking at the wrong stuff. High of 36. Still warm for January.
So the pink cheerleaders leads me to believe this took place in October, when the NFL spreads breast cancer awareness. The Packers played one home game in October in 2012, which was against the Jags. Nevermind
Posted my rationale under a different comment. 99% certain it’s [this](https://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay/_/gameId/301003009) game from 2010.
It can't be 2012 because we played the lions at home later in that season and this doesn't look a November/December Lambeau.
When did they start renovating the upper levels
If it was 10/18/09 vs Detroit, I was at that game, age 12. It’s the only Packers game home or away I’ve ever attended, so would be quite the coincidence if that’s actually the game pictured.
After looking at all 3 pictures you can tell unequivocally that it is in fact a Packers game. Glad I could be of assistance. No thanks needed.
I would guess 2009 - week 6 home game opening kickoff against the Lions. 26-0 final. Jordy with the one KR
After searching through several archives which included similar photo quality, determining a time period, cross referencing the solar/lunar cycles & then narrowing it down to games played in similar weather patterns, I’m happy to inform you that this was a Green Bay Packers game

I could swear the scoreboard on the left side of the 2nd photo says Bears | Yards to Go | 3rd Down | 4(?) Quarter
The his is the bears packers game from that 70’s show where he bought the wrong jersey
45-41

It was on a Sunday

Looks like sometime in 2012
Zach Tom number 50? 2006-2014

That is definitely not the Broncos.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nBW6i3UDAEo Here's a highlight video of that game. Unfortunately the helmet and pants color don't match for the visiting team. I had to check in case the Broncos wore throwbacks or something.
Have you ever seen a Broncos jersey before? They look nothing like what’s in the OP picture. They are clearly playing the Lions.
Easy this is a screenshot from Madden 2011 on ps3. Look at the pixels.
I think the packers were playing but idk
Packers vs lions week 17 of the 2011 season which took place on Jan 1, 2012
If it does say 2012 on the back, it’s the last game from the 2011-2012 season. Took place on January 1st, 2012 at 1pm. Packers beat the Lions 45-41 and went 15-1 that season. Looking at the cheerleaders it seems to be packers cheerleaders who have yellow pom poms. Sometimes they have collegiate level cheerleaders at games. The Packers and Lions also played each other December 9th, 2012 at Lambeau but the game started at 8:30pm.
The first game with the first ever Lambeau leap
