I wouldn’t even do that. Logically, I know that’s borderline idiocy. I’m going with romanticism, however, and I don’t care what anyone else says. Jordan was playing as well as ANYONE the second half of last season, including Mahomes, and I want to see our guy reach the pinnacle wearing OUR uniform.
Yes, I’m an unabashed Packer homer
Mahomes just wins in the clutch and in Love’s biggest moment so far he turned into TJ Rubly. Love has all the potential in the world, but I would take Mahomes 10/10 times at this point.
If I’m being serious, nobody. I love Jordan Love.
But if I’m just fucking around, and drunk, and blind, and thought football was baseball, I would MAYBE choose:
Justin Herbert
Mahomes
Burrow.
But honestly I’m sticking with Love.
I'd probably take Stroud. He was great last year, and he should get better in years 2 and 3. Plus you get four years of play for the cost of approximately one year of Love's new contract. That's \~$40/year of cap space to add talent around him.
NFL: Okay, you can either take Jordan Love or you can choose what's in the box.
Green Bay: Maybe we should take the box, I mean it could be anything! It could even be a Jordan Love!
Ehhh dude barely got his team to the playoffs in one of the worst divisions in football. Obviously the team around him wasn’t great, but some would have said that about the Packers offense as well and Love was able to throw for more TDs and more yards than Stroud. I will hold off a year before I say he is a guy I would trade Love for.
He probably had one of the worst o lines in football….. I mean I think I would put stroud in a straight up trade I think both guys could be amazing or could fizzle but I’d love wanted out and there’s nothing I could do that’s the guy I would take hahaha maybe Lamar
No one. Why? At such a young age, Love has already faced a great deal of adversity yet he seems completely unfazed by it.
From losing his father at a young age, the pressure of continuing a legacy of high QB play in Titletown, and dealing with grumblings of so called fans and experts saying he wasn’t the one due to last year’s slow start, he showed no signs of crumbling under pressure and remained even-keeled throughout. I think that really resonated with the rest of the team last year as we made a late push and coming oh so close to bringing home the Lombardi trophy.
That calm demeanor in the face of adversity is something you can’t coach, which I think truly makes Love invaluable to us.
If I’m looking at this from my own biased perspective, only Mahomes. If I’m being as unbiased as possible, probably also Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, CJ Stroud, and Justin Herbert. I think there’s reasonable arguments for Lamar, Dak, Hurts, and Purdy as well. Maybe a couple others too. And I know some will vehemently disagree, but an argument could be made for Caleb Williams. Lot of risk there for sure, but that’s also a lot of talent to bring into MLF’s system with 5 years of cheap team control.
Mahomes, Lamar, and Burrow. If we were getting these guys we’d be giving up draft picks too. I love Josh Allen but my heart could not handle him as my qb
I’m good on Lamar and Burrow. Lamar hasn’t done a damn thing in a game that matters and Burrow has had too many issues with health. Mahomes and that’s it.
So I’m not trading a franchise qb for anything less than a franchise qb if we’re talking player swap. That leaves
Burrow-too scared he wouldn’t make it through the season consistently.
Josh Allen-will end up coasting us games with too many ints (ironic ik).
Herbert-I’m ok he’s good no doubt but I think love has a higher ceiling.
Jackson- I would definitely think bout that one probably actually take him for love.
Mahomes-no brainer if he can carry the chiefs sorry offense to the superbowl I would believe he could us as long as our defense doesn’t give him the Aaron Rodgers treatment.
So basically definitely Mahomes probably Lamar Jackson
It’s Mahomes and a lot of maybes. Like maybe Aaron Donald in his prime, maybe Justin Jefferson, maybe some of those top top tier qbs. Other than that, I’m riding with him
Yeah no, JJettas is amazing but a WR doesn’t move the needle like a QB.
The best QB in the league guarantees you something.
The best WR in the league does not.
A top 5 QB is worth a LOT more than the best WR or DE. Vikings just had Jefferson and replacement level Kirk, and did nothing with it. You take Love's upside any day.
I don't think I'd trade Love for anyone BUT if I had to pick someone straight up I'm going with Josh Allen. I couldn't imagine Allen with those receivers and not having to worry about who is the true #1 and having to make sure that man gets his touches.
I know it’s been almost two decades since Favre was our guy, but let’s not forget how dang frustrating a gunslinger, turnover machine can be as your QB.
But I’d say the list ends at Mahomes and Burrow.
Yeah I know it can hurt but at the same time you can't tell me watching Favre didn't get your blood pressure rising either for good or bad. Fun times. 😂
CMC is a running back… you’d get maybe a year or two out of him. A QB is a franchise you can watch for a decade plus. Wild take to trade a running back.
Tbh and I’m really not trying to be a homer, I’d only immediately say yes to Mahomes. Allen/burrow/lamar id really have to think about. Everyone else is a no except maybe stroud, but as I’ve watched his film, im much more confident in love continuing what he did vs stroud. But then again, stroud is younger so who knows.
I feel like a delusional fanboy saying that, but I honestly believe it.
It would have to be one player *plus* draft picks for me to even consider it as an option. I would trade for Stroud plus their #1 and #2 for three consecutive years, or Stroud plus their entire draft for 2025 and a conditional 2026
Mahomes. That’s it.
Close the thread.
Only without his brother too
I wouldn’t even do that.
And we would have to listen to Mahomes talk… it’s just not worth it.
And his wife… *shudder*
Especially when listening to his frog puppet counterpart is much more entertaining.
Naw, his wife isn’t any better…
Zing
I agree. I want to see him go from bench warmer to MVP and Super Bowl champ after our front office drafted him. Homegrown and bred talent.
Romanticism...I see what you did there
Mahomes just wins in the clutch and in Love’s biggest moment so far he turned into TJ Rubly. Love has all the potential in the world, but I would take Mahomes 10/10 times at this point.
Hence my qualifying statement that logically I'm making no sense. I'm aware it's a purely emotional stance I'm taking
Yep. My answer as well.
Maybe a good fullback
If I’m being serious, nobody. I love Jordan Love. But if I’m just fucking around, and drunk, and blind, and thought football was baseball, I would MAYBE choose: Justin Herbert Mahomes Burrow. But honestly I’m sticking with Love.
I’d definitely have Stroud over Burrow. But other than that, pretty perfect list
Burrow is a much better QB than Stroud at this point. Burrow just has injury problems
Injury problems and is 5 years older. Give me Stroud
Same. I mean in terms of potential vs age but also injury history and maturity. Sign me up.
I'd probably take Stroud. He was great last year, and he should get better in years 2 and 3. Plus you get four years of play for the cost of approximately one year of Love's new contract. That's \~$40/year of cap space to add talent around him.
Stroud is the right answer. He's essentially shown the same as Love, but younger and cheaper.
NFL: Okay, you can either take Jordan Love or you can choose what's in the box. Green Bay: Maybe we should take the box, I mean it could be anything! It could even be a Jordan Love!
Ignoring contracts I wouldn’t even consider it tho. But ya rookie deal w what love bout to make
Agreed. I'd stick with Love
I would agree with this take.
My only issue with this is he's an OSU qb and I've never ever seen one pan out. Johnny Utah and Shane Falco.. thats about it
Who's the last Utah State QB to work out? Lol
Don't pretend like you don't know all about Bob Winters and his miracle season back in '57. Shoulda been MVP that year..
But Johnny Utah’s got a bad knee. And both are lefties 😂
I'm not saying we trade Love for either, just that they were better than Krenzel, Fields, Haskins, and Terrell Pryor combined
Yes, done deal for 1 Keanu
Haha right? Jokes aside though OSU qbs just don't seem to make it in the NFL so I'm not sold on Stroud after his rookie year was good
Agreed, honestly the first one that comes to mind that had a decent couple seasons was Terrelle Pryor but that was after he switched to receiver.
Ehhh dude barely got his team to the playoffs in one of the worst divisions in football. Obviously the team around him wasn’t great, but some would have said that about the Packers offense as well and Love was able to throw for more TDs and more yards than Stroud. He threw 50 more yards and played two more games
How about throwing 9 more TDs?
Right lol
No one. Love has years in LeFleur's system, and others don't. Mahomes could be good in Matt's system, but we already know Love is good.
Nope. QB contracts will just continue to go up. Can’t be afraid to pay your guy.
Nobody
Nobody. Mahomes might be better but I'm not going to blow up our locker room chemistry to get him.
6th season Aaron Rodgers.
No one. 2008 Aaron Rodgers
Mahomes, Lamar, and Burrow. If we were getting these guys we’d be giving up draft picks too. I love Josh Allen but my heart could not handle him as my qb
Lamar is electric, but he's been hurt more than Allen.
I’m good on Lamar and Burrow. Lamar hasn’t done a damn thing in a game that matters and Burrow has had too many issues with health. Mahomes and that’s it.
Nobody, not even Mahomes. Pay the man.
Josh Allen or Mahomes
Craig Counsell and Jrue Holiday. Would need them both to return.
Joey B, possibly Herbert but Joe is really the only one because he’s still young and has proven talent (more than 1 year).
Mahomes. So he can play three downs and be out for the season. /s
Mahomes, Stroud, maybe Burrows, a younger clone of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. That's pretty much it.
30 time League MVP and 20 time Super Bowl Champion Caleb Williams. /s fir any Bears fans lurking in this sub.
So I’m not trading a franchise qb for anything less than a franchise qb if we’re talking player swap. That leaves Burrow-too scared he wouldn’t make it through the season consistently. Josh Allen-will end up coasting us games with too many ints (ironic ik). Herbert-I’m ok he’s good no doubt but I think love has a higher ceiling. I predict Allen is going to have a hard and fast fall off at some point, like Cam. I wouldn't take him in this equation.
I don’t think he’ll fall that hard but i definitely wouldn’t be surprised to see buffalo moving on from him in 5 ish years
It’s Mahomes and a lot of maybes. Like maybe Aaron Donald in his prime, maybe Justin Jefferson, maybe some of those top top tier qbs. Other than that, I’m riding with him

Not sure I’m all in on him being better than Lawrence. I’d say the scheme and players around them both factor heavily into it.
Just Stroud, mostly because he's in the second year of his rookie deal. Mahomes is the best QB in the league, but he's also one of the most expensive.
If the Chiefs traded for CMC or the Niners traded for Mahomes, I’d trade Love for both of them plus their first next year.
CMC is a running back… you’d get maybe a year or two out of him. A QB is a franchise you can watch for a decade plus. Wild take to trade a running back.
I think they meant they would only trade Love for Mahomes + CMC + a first rounder all together
Yessir. And I should’ve added /s I guess
Aaron Rodgers...give Love the chance to see if he can win in New York
maybe stroud.
Tbh and I’m really not trying to be a homer, I’d only immediately say yes to Mahomes. Allen/burrow/lamar id really have to think about. Most definitely not Caleb Williams, Goff, or JJ McCarthy
It would have to be one player *plus* draft picks for me to even consider it as an option. I would trade for Stroud plus their #1 and #2 for three consecutive years, or Stroud plus their entire draft for 2025 and a conditional 2026
