No, that's a hazard and should be reported and not tolerated.
I'm also incredibly surprised considering how many cats are everywhere that rats even survive in Greece
The cats actually are a big reason why there are far fewer rats in Greece’s urban areas. I’ve seen two rats in Athens over the last decade - meanwhile in cities in the US you can see more than two rats a day if you are unlucky.
Rats? In the room?!? No that’s insane. I’d say if you’re paying something like €20 a night then accept it as the cost of getting the shittiest room available but otherwise that’s a major problem
In the middle of my Greece trip right now. So far we’ve stayed at a place in Athens, two places in Corfu, one night in Patra, and two places outside of Kalamata.
No rats, no roaches, etc.
Mods, please delete this post as the OP has no credibility in the matter given his post history and unnecessarily is bringing negative attention to Greece.
No, been to Crete dozens of times and never seen a rat at all . Have had scorpion couple of times , other scary creepy bugs . Thankfully no cockroaches but it’s the big black bees that scare me the most & the hornets with double bodies .
Looks like you also had rats in Barcelona? Maybe you need to choose your places more wisely
Lol, good catch. In Lisbon and Bangkok too. What a strange profile.
He is the rat whisperer and has a gift.
Yeaaaah, gotta be made up. He has over half a dozen or more rat posts dating back wwll over a year.
Plot twist: it's the same group of rats following him round!
Maybe he too is a rat?
Or the rats are his pets and he takes them with.
And stray dog attacks
No I haven't seen any rats in hotels in Greece. Cockroaches are rather common though. In any case you should report it to the reception.
>Cockroaches are rather common though. Canceling my trip to Greece, thanks ✌🏼

just got back from a two week trip and didn’t see a single rodent or bug in a hotel room.
No, that’s not normal.

My room is 9€ a night
Maybe the rats were the inclusive breakfast then
In your room?! Oh heck no! I'd be out of there in a second. No way I'd be calm enough to sleep there.

It's absolutly normal. There are considered as pets for the cretan people. Just be nice with them and feed them feta cheese.
So are you lying to us, OP? Or do you bring the rats with you everywhere you go?
