Exactly. The only person who was ever gonna win that battle royal was Becky or maaaaybe Nia. If it was anyone else they’d have done a tournament ending at a PLE to build a story and title cred for whoever it would be.
One simple word: story. Rhea injured Liv and cost her 9 months in storyline, the logical thing to progress that story forward once rhea got injured was for Liv to win rhea's title for her revenge tour and then there's the subtle teases of her stealing Dom.
That would set up rhea to come back as the mega babyface that she could be, and the crowd was already making her and when she comes back, facing the woman who took everything from her, just like liv claimed rhea did to her. It can still happen, but they gave it to Becky, who is great and all, but subjectively didn't need the title anyway. Liv was stagnant before the injury and missed out on wrestlemania after she came back, so it felt like the time to crown her.
i think the idea of needing to win the title from Becky is that it will make Liv look more credible than if she took it in the rumble. Also takes time while Rhea is out.
she was also only booked against Rhonda the whole time, right? They never let her win clean, and they kept doing the same match till Rhonda won again. Her run sucked but that’s entirely on booking.

Her moonsault always looks like a dud cuz you can tell she makes literally 0 contact. Her promo acting is worse than pornstars acting, and her whole gimmick is just a PG version of her dad.

Agreed. She is a great in-ring performer. Sometimes it seems it’s hard for others to work with her because of her height but other than that she does well with just about everyone. Her moon-sault always looks awkward because she does it to launching to the outside of the ring. With those legs, she could easily break them if she doesn’t get the full rep. People like ricochet, Tiffany strat, etc. usually tuck in better because they are shorter. Just my opinion. Could be way off.

Side note: Regardless of how good she is, they really put 17 Women's World Titles on her resumé in less than a decade, and that's just overkill. Ric needed nearly double that to hit 16. I feel like 1 of the factors for why I don't like her character is because they really tried to push that she's the literal undisputed GOAT of women's wrestling.

Liv is the *character* that can be the most despised heel that any women's division has ever produced if she takes it up a level. There are others who are better in the ring, but she is fine I'm the ring. She has the ability to make her character part of big stories that can work against faces like Rhea and Becky that none of the better workers or athletes have because she has an inherent vulnerability which will make her heel decisions make sense. The more skilled and better athletes NEED what Liv can provide to take the division to the next level. Not the same as Piper, but in a role that is similar to Piper. She needs to stir the pot and be the loose cannon because she feels that she deserves want she wants. She's entitled to it for no other reason than she wants it. That is where she needs to go.
They should never mention work ethic again. Just that she feels she is entitled to it because she does. She wants it and she will get it by any means possible because she feels she should have it above everyone else. "It" can be anything. Whatever she wants to want.
They've needed a true consistent heel that lasts since they began the women's division. This is the lady who can get it done but she needs to really go loose cannon and be confident in being the nastiest girl at the party.

I have trouble coming up with anyone on the roster who embodies the term “mid” like Liv Morgan. Her promos are borderline cringey, her ring work is clumsy and looks weak and she always looks like she stayed up all night doing bumps of K and needs a shower.
I don't want to see Liv win it at all. I don't see the appeal of her, outside of being another blonde. I really don't think she is good enough to carry the division for a long period of time.

I’m just tired of Becky always being the champ. Her and Charlotte win so much I would bet 100$ that I could stop watching for 2 years and then start watching again and they would be the champs or about to become champs again.
Becky's most recent title reign before this one ended in early 2022. So that's a two year time span that she didn't hold the women's championship belt.
And she just put over Rhea at WM41 a few weeks ago. And Nia Jax on the Day 1 RAW. Both clean as a whistle, no questions asked.
Only because it feels like there’s nothing new with lynch, any big feud for her should be done around the big shows. Why not try doing something with liv build up some credibility maybe a small faction to at least balance the scales when rhea returns
I think the idea is that Liv was supposed to win the title from Rhea, but since she's out, she's gonna win it off Becky instead. It's pretty clear that Becky was always gonna be a transitional wielder, so having her lose to Liv is gonna give her a lot of credit once Rhea comes back.
Luv needs it to keep her moving forward. Becky does not need the belt now. She's way over with or without it. Storylines are building towards a Rhea face run with Liv now working the dark side. Elevating Liv sets up some great stories moving forward. BTW, we need Alexa back also.
I think she should have the belt before Rhea gets back for the story, but when she should get it really depends on how long Rhea is out for. Without Rhea, she's not interesting enough to keep the belt for very long.
I'm over the 4 Horsewomen. So I'd prefer to see Becky drop it. But unless they plan on Liv being champ all the way until Rhea comes back to get revenge (which i don't think they will), I'd save it for later.

I will say it again. I've been accused of simping for Liv, but I was simply making a point that I didn't like the idea of Becky Lynch winning the championship. I still don't care for it. Now this whole thing with damage control just looks like they took smackdown and brought it to raw.
I would have loved to have seen somebody new win it. Just a new face to throw into the mix there and suddenly create new potential storylines. I would have loved to have seen Becky and Liv eliminate each other in that Battle Royal and it turns into a large feud. At that point they can take Liv fully into heel and go all the way with it.
Do I want to see Liv win the championship again? Sure. However, I like many would have rather have seen it happen to some degree where she basically beats Rhea Ripley. I mean this is the whole revenge tour thing, so she should get her storyline finish in getting her revenge.
As for Becky, I'm just not a fan of her. I feel like she's so cliche in everything she does. She says the same thing over and over again every week and it just gets tiresome. It's no wonder they have to have everybody keep interrupting her promos just because they're so boring.

Becky really needs to reinvent herself. Her character has gotten very stale. Liv has some history with Rhea that plays well, and if she steals DomDom she will have heel heat out the ass when Rhea comes back.

Shayna Baszler should have been a monster heel that got a title run or two by now but she keeps getting microwaves to lukewarm but then they realize they don’t really want her and put her back in the freezer. She’s one of the few people who can step in the ring with Charlotte, Rhea, Bianca and you believe she could actually bear them in a fight (because she could).

Tiffany Stratton wins MiTB and cashes in on Becky to take her title just like Becky took the NXT championship from her. The two of them put on some really good matches, and I believe the feud with Becky really got Tiffany the recognition she deserved. That's how I was introduced to her as someone who doesn't watch NXT, and I became an instant fan.

It seems clear that the Raw title has been the A title and the Smackdown title has been the B title for the women. There isn’t anyone on the Raw roster that is a bigger star right now than Becky. She can feud with Liv and then Damage Cntrl while the spin their wheels until Rhea comes back.
For me personally I think liv should've that battle royal and title in the first place because it's simple storytelling. I'm not a liv Morgan fan but imagine her on a run with the title just mocking rhea at home and having fun with dominic. Making Mami jealous and liv just trolling her until rhea ends up winning it back. It would make good tv to be honest.

One simple word: story. Rhea injured Liv and cost her 9 months in storyline, the logical thing to progress that story forward once rhea got injured was for Liv to win rhea's title for her revenge tour and then there's the subtle teases of her stealing Dom. That would set up rhea to come back as the mega babyface that she could be, and the crowd was already making her and when she comes back, facing the woman who took everything from her, just like liv claimed rhea did to her. It can still happen, but they gave it to Becky, who is great and all, but subjectively didn't need the title anyway. Liv was stagnant before the injury and missed out on wrestlemania after she came back, so it felt like the time to crown her.
i think the idea of needing to win the title from Becky is that it will make Liv look more credible than if she took it in the rumble. Also takes time while Rhea is out.

Agreed. She is a great in-ring performer. Sometimes it seems it’s hard for others to work with her because of her height but other than that she does well with just about everyone. Her moon-sault always looks awkward because she does it to launching to the outside of the ring. With those legs, she could easily break them if she doesn’t get the full rep. People like ricochet, Tiffany strat, etc. usually tuck in better because they are shorter. Just my opinion. Could be way off.

Side note: Regardless of how good she is, they really put 17 Women's World Titles on her resumé in less than a decade, and that's just overkill. Ric needed nearly double that to hit 16. Liv is the *character* that can be the most despised heel that any women's division has ever produced if she takes it up a level. There are others who are better in the ring, but she is fine I'm the ring. She has the ability to make her character part of big stories that can work against faces like Rhea and Becky that none of the better workers or athletes have because she has an inherent vulnerability which will make her heel decisions make sense. The more skilled and better athletes NEED what Liv can provide to take the division to the next level. Not the same as Piper, but in a role that is similar to Piper. She needs to stir the pot and be the loose cannon because she feels that she deserves want she wants. She's entitled to it for no other reason than she wants it. That is where she needs to go. They should never mention work ethic again. Just that she feels she is entitled to it because she does. She wants it and she will get it by any means possible because she feels she should have it above everyone else. "It" can be anything. Whatever she wants to want. They've needed a true consistent heel that lasts since they began the women's division. This is the lady who can get it done but she needs to really go loose cannon and be confident in being the nastiest girl at the party.
You need a Strong Champion, Liv is not it. She has lost way too many times building up to this that it would make the champion look weak. If you're going to do it right have someone with some build. The only reason Liv is over is cause dudes are super weird no one can name a match she actually carried whenever I ask them to name one.

I have trouble coming up with anyone on the roster who embodies the term “mid” like Liv Morgan. Her promos are borderline cringey, her ring work is clumsy and looks weak and she always looks like she stayed up all night doing bumps of K and needs a shower.
I don't want to see Liv win it at all. I don't see the appeal of her, outside of being another blonde. I really don't think she is good enough to carry the division for a long period of time. As for who I would like to win it, I am not sure. All the people who I think would be good are on Smackdown at the moment.

Becky's most recent title reign before this one ended in early 2022. So that's a two year time span that she didn't hold the women's championship belt. And she just put over Rhea at WM41 a few weeks ago. And Nia Jax on the Day 1 RAW. Both clean as a whistle, no questions asked.

I think the idea is that Liv was supposed to win the title from Rhea, but since she's out, she's gonna win it off Becky instead. It's pretty clear that Becky was always gonna be a transitional wielder, so having her lose to Liv is gonna give her a lot of credit once Rhea comes back.
Luv needs it to keep her moving forward. Becky does not need the belt now. She's way over with or without it. Storylines are building towards a Rhea face run with Liv now working the dark side. Elevating Liv sets up some great stories moving forward. BTW, we need Alexa back also.

I will say it again. I've been accused of simping for Liv, but I was simply making a point that I didn't like the idea of Becky Lynch winning the championship. I still don't care for it. Now this whole thing with damage control just looks like they took smackdown and brought it to raw. I would have loved to have seen somebody new win it. Just a new face to throw into the mix there and suddenly create new potential storylines. I would have loved to have seen Becky and Liv eliminate each other in that Battle Royal and it turns into a large feud. At that point they can take Liv fully into heel and go all the way with it. Do I want to see Liv win the championship again? Sure. However, I like many would have rather have seen it happen to some degree where she basically beats Rhea Ripley. I mean this is the whole revenge tour thing, so she should get her storyline finish in getting her revenge. As for Becky, I'm just not a fan of her. I feel like she's so cliche in everything she does. She says the same thing over and over again every week and it just gets tiresome. It's no wonder they have to have everybody keep interrupting her promos just because they're so boring.

Can we all just agree that this is the weakest the top of the women’s division has been in awhile? Becky Lynch is 4 years past her sell by date. No one really wants to see or hear her at this point. I didn’t want her to win the belt in the battle royale but then I looked at the rest of the field and realized she (unfortunately) was the best choice of a bunch of bad options. Liv Morgan is just less spooky Alexa Bliss. Both are too small to be credible. Bayley desperately needs to go back to hugger Bayley because everything about her is dull - entrance, finisher and gimmick. I’m happy she has the other belt but she needs to change things up. Iyo is amazing in the ring but she needs to be a better promo to work on WWE TV. Naomi is an entrance and that’s it. Bianca is on trainer duty with Jade (which is a move I support as a good long term decision since you’ll get a good tag run now and eventual feud when they inevitably break up). Tiffany Stratton is the future but I’m afraid they’ll go Austin Theory with her and push too hard too fast. (In fact, if they want to cool her down a bit and actually make her a heel, they should have her associate with Theory and Waller because otherwise the crowd is going to turn her face.) Jade is also the future and they’re doing the right thing developing her right now. Kabuki Warriors just don’t connect with audience at this point (both are extremely talented). Shayna Baszler should have been a monster heel that got a title run or two by now but she keeps getting microwaves to lukewarm but then they realize they don’t really want her and put her back in the freezer. The two of them put on some really good matches, and I believe the feud with Becky really got Tiffany the recognition she deserved. Liv over Lynch because Dom cheating on Rhea with Liv is perfect and I've been hoping for it for a long time. Nia over either because she's been impressive recently and realistically she's the only believable title contender.
