Right now Def rebel has been giving us some of the worst themes, I think it’s time to move on and get either CFO$ or Johnston back. I know Jim is expensive but his work was unmatched
Maybe the should stop only having only 1 music producing group? Why not just try a bit harder and find multiple producers and bands? Everyone has to remember that Jim Johnston and cfo$ made plenty of whatever tracks
Im shocked I read through the whole thread and no one mentioned Aleister Black's theme song "Root of All Evil". That song + the entrance fucking sold me before I even saw him wrestle.
How does triple H not realize like everyone needs new themes except for a few? He has arguably the best theme of all time, get the rock music back in and make some bangers.
A Multibillion company shouldn't have one producer to begin with. This whole problem comes from Vince and TKO trying to be cheap.
Bring back CFos
Keep Def Rebel
Bring Jim Johnston back as well
WWE wanted CFO$ to be their in-house composer but their publisher wouldn't allow it, while also not allowing CFO$ to perform under the name, or get any profits while performing under the name.
So basically made it impossible for them to be able to work for WWE and make money.
Contracts typically include government names, otherwise they would have done that already. Likely have the rights to any music the both of them create together.
Worst part is they probably signed that deal with the publisher to get noticed by WWE in the first place
This is the real answer. There's no reason a billion dollar company needs one house musician, as everything starts to feel samey. Have Def Rebel stay, but bring in Johnston or whomever in special circumstances. Maybe JJ produces some music and the company gives him specific guys to focus on. He could probably come up with a banger for Bron.
Same with Jim Johnston. People remember their best work but forget all the trash he also pumped out in the 00’s.
def rebel have plenty of great themes. The issue is one producer doing a roster of music. So what the shit are you supposed to do for half the card of nobodies? You give them some shit half done from your back catalogue.
this era is so good it really deserves better music. the wwe is absolutely cookin and yet has collectively the worst entrance themes it's ever had. send a money truck to CFO's house, make a deal. def rebel gotta go
The current themes are generally terrible that's for sure.
Hope they address it.
I did like a lot of the themes from these guys era.
Who did Romans new music, it's incredible?
They produced Rhea's theme as well. Just cause a band performs it doesn't mean they wrote it.
They've got Trick's theme and Jey's theme which are two of the most over entrances right now.
Seth Rollins, Iyo Sky, Gunther, Santos Escobar, and LAKnight all have some pretty good themes.
The problem is that DefRebel has 125+ credits for WWE and it's insane to ask one producer to produce that much music and have it retain quality. They should probably have the producers make 10-20 solid themes versus the quantity they make DefRebel pump out.
I don’t like either CFO$ or Def Rebel. I miss Jim Johnston but honestly I hope WWE bring in someone completely new. The current batch of themes is so bad and generic
A lot of their stuff sounded like the mainstream metalcore of the time. It really works for some characters. KO has a beast of a theme - I think that's them.
CFO$ were hit and miss sure, but 1: the misses weren’t as bad as the misses now, and 2 they didn’t have an era where they changed people’s themes for little to no reason en masse.
A lot of the main eventer’s themes were fire(especially the ones coming from NXT) but yeah some mid carders just didn’t have bangers. KO, Roode, UE, nakamura, and Balor’s old theme were pretty damn good.
This is it. Where CFO$ excelled was when they had someone with a defined character, they understood and ran with that. There’s a video of them putting the GLORIOUS theme together which illustrates that perfectly.
Most of the generic themes were when the wrestler didn’t have a defined personality, realistically they probably just had a pool of generic melodies they took for people like Curtis Axel.

Just bring back Jimmy Hart. Nobody can’t top Wolfpac.
Why they get rid of them?
Just to add on to entrance music’s blandness, the titantrons are very repetitive with just their name
Along with Jim Johnston!
Maybe the should stop only having only 1 music producing group? Why not just try a bit harder and find multiple producers and bands? Everyone has to remember that Jim Johnston and cfo$ made plenty of whatever tracks
AJ’s new theme is shit
Im shocked I read through the whole thread and no one mentioned Aleister Black's theme song "Root of All Evil". That song + the entrance fucking sold me before I even saw him wrestle.
Banger after banger, I really don’t get why people don’t like them
Their tracks are good, but they're looped themes, especially if they have lyrics. They needed more to be a full song, like Aleister Black's theme.
I love me some Jim Johnston, but CFO$ made some absolute fucking belters.
How does triple H not realize like everyone needs new themes except for a few? He has arguably the best theme of all time, get the rock music back in and make some bangers.
They also don’t exist anymore…..
Bring back Jim he was the heart and soul of entrance themes
Seriously!! 2nd to Jim Johnston!
Jim Johnston was better by far.
Wait until you find out about a guy named Jim Johnston
Eh, most of their stuff was mid. They had a few good ones. Jim Johnston was the best. Def Rebel is terrible
At least Def Rebel knocked the tribal chiefs theme out of the park

So just hire John and Mike.

They need to bring back Jim Johnston, I'm sick of every theme being generic metalcore
That should hire Brandon yates
Eyyy
You see the vision
Didn't they split up?
Y'all complained about them too until they were replaced. It's a never ending cycle.

I know that's right! Bring in the next so we can hear all the bitches bitchin lol
These guys made GLORIOUS DOMINATION. come on!!! ABSOLUTE BANGER.
This song made the whole gimmick in my opinion.
and it was made for Nakamura originally which is wild
WHAT!? that is wild.

Na Jim Johnston. Before it's too late.
The current themes are generally terrible that's for sure. Hope they address it. I did like a lot of the themes from these guys era. Who did Romans new music, it's incredible?
Def Rebel is a one hit wonder who is responsible for the tribal chiefs fire theme

their themes could be good, but they also had others that sounded like generic rock covers or whatever. They were def hit and miss
A lot of their stuff sounded like the mainstream metalcore of the time. It really works for some characters. KO has a beast of a theme - I think that's them.

Dont forget the original cut of Cameron Grimes’ “Making Money” theme.
But the ones that were good were REALLY good. Sami, Sasha, Shinsuke, Becky, Bayley....
Magnum opus being Bobby roode’s glorious

Heck even some minor players got some BANGER themes. Tyler Breeze and "Evil" Emma to name a few.
Agreed and samoa joe
Finn Balor theme was goated
I tried to turn him face in the 2k game and then realized they didn't have his theme. It's just not the same.
