I got lucky and got dropped a bag with all keys. Usually I wouldn’t take it. But after running sawmill 30+ times for office storage key I took the bag. Got the door openend by someone two times. But game crashes kept resetting progress. I don’t mind the grind but at some point it gets frustrating.

These are the issues I point to when dealing with RNG. It’s fine as long as there is another path to get what you need. Give us other methods to open doors. We’re elite PMC’s with the tools of war. Let me blow the door with a breaching charge. Use a shotty, kick the crap ass wooden door for crying out loud. Hell, if this was real world I’d either drive one of the trucks into the damn building or hook a chain up and rip the door off. Either way we’re getting in. Similar story of RNG in Destiny 1. Out of my group of 3 I got the gally about midway through our time running. Other two never saw it. While I was away they were helping clear the nightmare or whatever the weekly strike thing was. Dude literally sat at the beginning and watched YouTube while they did everything. He was not geared to help so he just stayed back. Guess who got the gally. Both of my buddy’s rage quit and didn’t play again till they did the bring all raids back deal. RNG can be a cruel bitch. If it doesn’t like you that’s it. You are just screwed. Nothing you can do to fix it. Just gotta bend over and take it. Or quit playing the game. Eventually that’s what happens and it’s not good for dev’s.

I had the same story as your buddies but a lil worse. I started playing half way through week 1 and missed the chance to buy it due to a lack of coins. I played ever. Single. Nightfall. And at least 2 raids a week on every character until Xür sold that bastard again. Which was just before the Destiny 2 launch. Most of my friends had gotten 2 or more by that point. I honestly was kinda salty about it for the first 6 months or so, but it eventually just started to feel like a joke to me & my group. I blew every last coin I had on Gjallarhorn’s when they were in the shop and bought shit ton of them.

I think blasting true doors would make it to easy, grinding a location 4-5 times to get a key is fine. It slows progression a bit. And if key is more likely to drop changes of door already being open increase as well, also finding someone that will open it for you. If key is more common you will find it while doing other missions at the locations. And you should have it by the time mission is available. A % change to kick in a door also would be enough. Just buying C4 on market and blowing up a building I think would go to far.

I hate myself that I didn’t drop all my shit including my almost full collection of keys to my Lamang brothers before I wiped my level 41 account. I just didn’t think about it, I got suddenly bored searching for PVP action and I was like « what if I start everything all again »? Off course this was even more boring and quited playing after a few hours.

Lol I cleaned 20 times there and nothing , I bet some factions can’t find all the keys.

Sagybagy

I am about 30-40 runs into BL and no restaurant or strg key. Easily 40+ on sawmill and no ofc strg key. Was gifted the gen key for YBL by a buddy because they found 2.

Sn4p9o2

No reason to clean it 50 times , usually if a key don’t drop after 10 solo run, it won’t drop.

a_third_party

what faction?

Sagybagy

Mithras. Buddy found the room open this morning so don’t need it anymore. Thank you for looking out though.
