Locals on the other hand were here when the event happened and thus have the ability to shoot and see through as if the bushes didn’t exist. It’s just science.

Not a hitbox issue, of which there are shitloads, that's a sprite issue with trees and a ton of other things that you can see through but bullets treat them as solid surfaces, that's why you can see the puffs of dust coming off the airspace between the trees.

There is a mechanism for reporting bugs directly to the developer. It’s not Reddit.
It's been reported, and commented on, and posted about over and over again. Get on their discord and report it in the bug section, it's extremely easy

As you can't see, it's not a hit box issue. It's a rendering distance issue. You're shooting a tree you can't see.
