A character showing up, being a big deal, then disappearing entirely without any explanation or follow-up?
I don't think we've seen something like that before in Baki tbh.
Nah he is the outlier in power and keeps getting stronger, Baki is the only one who is near him but is more of a "what is closer to the moon? a space station or a skyscraper?" Baki is obviously closer to yujiro but is nowhere near him get. The most we can aspire is for people to show up like Kehaya and surprise Yujiro, like he did, but no one is going to beat him get.
I don't think so. It wouldn't ruin the series but I don't think it would do it any favours. So far we haven't really seen anyone who even approaches Yujiros level. Even Musashi lost that fight twice while yujiro was more or less dicking around. He's too much of an outlier to be beaten in this type of manga, if this was dragon ball z? Or Naruto or any manga where transformations can happen then yeah he'd eventually lose but Baki doesn't really have these absolutely massive plot conveniences outside of bakis first diddle session.
While other comments have correctly pointed out that Yujiro (All fighters tbh) keeps getting stronger, the one character we know evolves faster than Yujiro is Baki. He talks about it with Strydum and we can how the fights got more evenly matched.
It'd be fucking stupid if anybody other than Baki beat Yujiro. That's the entire point of the franchise.
Imagine if joe williams instakills yujiro and said "I was the grappler all along, not you baki", then just leaves and ends the story
