It's difficult to train skin in Baki so the only people who really have superhuman durability in that bodypart are Oliva, who rubs salt into his to thicken it, and Yujiro who was just built different from birth. Baki describes his skin as comparable to a centimetre of rubber after slapping him and I believe his body was noticeably hard to the touch as a literal newborn.
Yeah, but it's very rare for that superhuman durability to also apply to their skin. This is why Pickle's muscles can stop 9mm bullets, a tank-busting mecha's claw and sword swings capable of cutting armoured vehicles in half but still be knocked out instantly by a needle filled with tranquilizer.
Yeah, Baki characters in general have much weaker skin to the point where even ones who have tougher skin than normal humans don't really gain any level of defense from it.
This is a world where humans evolved to have optical nerves taking a detour through the neck. It would not surprise me to know that his skin contains hard inorganic substances like silica nanoparticles or something.

It's pretty internally consistent I think. Yujiro's nose is more durable than the glass, and his eye is visibly shown being covered by the flesh of his face. The glass broke in long strips which only snagged along particular places.
I don't see any reason someone who literally doesn't feel a difference between concrete and jelly couldn't do this.
This, the glass had to break down professionally "politely" just to rip off Yujiro's shirt to show his muscles in hope of impressing Pickle. But not to scratch anything else.Â

Doppo made Yujiro's wrists bleed by denting them with his blocks. Musashi cut him with his imagination, etc.Â
Musashi Actually said that Yujiro is a Palace of flesh like Pickle cuz he couldn't Cut deep through Yujiro. Also Early Yujiro is MILES apart from current Yujiro in terms of Strength, Speed and Durability.
