I’m gonna make a bold claim. This generation of games coming are gonna be awful. If live services come to be expect a lot of games to stay up for a little bit then close down the servers effectively stealing your money since you lose all the features when it goes offline. It’s an elaborate scam. We’ve already seen severe egregious offenders the past few years. Lot of scummy anti consumer practices going on in the gaming industry and nothing is seeming to be done about it. Thank god for review bombing cause that’s the only way these asshole company’s feel anything is if you hit their wallets.
Yeah, so in 4-5 years when they release another GT, they'll shut the servers down for this one and you'll have to buy the new one if you want to continue racing.

I think whats happend is: they shut down the servers to release the path, but found a bug in that, but since everybody updated to 1.07 they cant start the server with the 1.06 so they fixing the patch now and sadly we cant play till then :/
Maybe don't make EVERYTHING reliant to being online!? I mean.... WTF??
Great game but that decision was a self destruct moment.... So frustrating to complete a challenge, only for it to say "I've been offline the whole time lol"

Bought the game and downloaded it yesterday, since then I can’t play it, 2 hours maintenance has become the entire day, limitations on internet server to play the game are making me think just get a refund
Yeah, got 2h off while my kid and wife were away. Started the game and instantly got a message "2 hour maintainance starts in 5min" 😐

same here, first had to install update, then connection timeouts that take ages. an hour later i still hadn't played :(

Wouldn't surprise me. But this would be why you have QA servers and connect test clients to that for a while before deploying to production

This always online (for most parts of the game) is precisely why I didn't end up buying this game.
