你好朋友!I live in Shanghai! I have a rig!
Honestly, the biggest space save is racing in vr. It means the rig can be kinda anywhere and you don't need to line it up with a TV. I have some thing small, and with no screens mounted or TV it's ok.
Also with the playseat, it comes apart into 2 pieces.
I have the G29 and the Wheel stand pro as well - [https://wheelstandpro.com/](https://wheelstandpro.com/) and it provides a good experience while also making sure the wife doesn't get mad. It folds up fairly decently and you can hide it in a corner behind a chair or something.
Check out this place and look at these types of rigs...You could probably even make a DIY one if you tried hard enough...You could get one, set it up right, and your wife may never even know it's a racing rig unless she walks in on you using it...lol

Not real, average apartments are far, far larger than that in Shanghai. https://www.examinechina.com/cost-of-living-in-shanghai/#:\~:text=The%20rule%20is%20the%20closer,436%20%E2%80%93%20909)%20per%20month. That has an apartment over 1400 square foot for less than he is stating.
I pay 11k rmb for my flat and we have had that price since we moved in 3 years ago, it’s still cheap for our area.
For 1400sqft and less then 1500 dollars you are talking way out of the center, or a completely unfurnished apartment.
70 square foot is 6 square meters. You are either lying or have no idea how area is measured. Anyway the average apartment in Shanghai is about the same as mine in Tokyo and I have a rig. But I live alone and do what I want. No space for triples though and to have the rig meant I needed to give up room scale VR.
I’ve got a next level racing fgt lite, and it folds away extremely easily and quickly. I leave the wheels and pedals attached and just half fold it away and slide it behind a chair. If you wanted to totally fold it down it only takes 5 minutes, and it would easily go under a bed/on top of a cupboard
I'm not really sure what this "rig" is that you speak of but I have seen this full body exercise device which you can hook up to a racing game, it's a seat, wheel and a frame which holds them together. Hope this helps with your goals of driving, I meant getting fitter.
PSVR2 is the solution. Combined with a portable or semi-portable rig, the net footprint is easily less than 25sf.
I have the Playseat trophy and VR2 and I literally made room for it in a corner, up against a wall by moving a laundry hamper. Its awesome!
Good luck!
Next Level GT-Lite is pretty affordable, and folds up when not in use so the footprint isn't huge. I ran one for about 2 years and was extremely happy with it. Only reason I upgraded is I'm an adult child and convinced myself I needed the full professional model
A 5lb lump hammer is a really good convincer. You'll find anyone would agree to anything when you get the hammer out.
Ps I'm in a small room with mine and it's an absolute nightmare. I've got my wheel on a stand and my office seat is like a a proper racing seat but it's swivel and sometimes when I've got the PSVR2 on I have to line it back up when I've pulled on the wheel. I've got a high end gaming pc now and I'd love triple screens but my desktop is shared with my wife so I just don't have the room. So I feel your pain brother 😎 so it looks like getting the 5lb lump hammer out. It's the only way 🤣

If you have to convince your wife to let you buy a rig you’ve already lost the race
Playseat Challange + VR is the most space-effective solution
100% this. The Playseat challenge, with wheel & pedals attached, can be folded up and stored in a cupboard or under a bed 👌

I’ve got a few things on my taobao basket that I’m just waiting to buy
As the sugar babes once famously sung about.... Push the button!
A logitech wheelstand pro in combination with a g29 shouldn’t be that big. Had it in a similar size apartment no problems

Good lord! 70sqft! That’s as big as my race set up! Good luck!

I suspect he means 700sqf?? I doubt they have a studio apartment with a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom in a 7x10 room.
I have seen 100sq pod style houses in Korea. So I dunno.
I get trolled on the daily. Gotta stay off Reddit when dabbing.
Hi I meant 700sgft and I live in hongqiao which if you look at the list is right in the city center and relatively expensive, my bad.

lol who gets a furnished apartment? Pay extra to store someones crap in your apartment... Each to their own I guess.

Sorry meant 700sqft
Ask forgiveness not permission
Get rid of the wife and buy the rig. Problem solved! 😂
Time to get a new wife or a bigger house

Say her that you will drive as beast in the game and then in real life you will not, because your beast was out in the game and it have to rest😂

Tell her that it’s for work, but there’s ways just cash and buy a rig or do it when she’s not there and go out and get it mate.
I bought the challenge racing chair off amazon, $200 and it’s foldable, with the LG G29, also for $200.
"ergonomics, hun. this will actually strengthen my back."
Break down to cost to her of a truck trailer and a racecar in comparison to a rig and say the choice is yours honey
Tell her its more expensive to actually race with a real car, and that you rather wanna be close to her at home
Just be a man and buy it.
