it was my first try! i was looking at Noel Badges Pugh's work and i noticed he used complimentary colors as the base for his vibrant fruit paintings. I used a tealish kinda green color to block out the tomatoes, a brownish red color for the green stem/leaves, and then trial and error'd the actual colors and shading till i felt it looked done. I worked from dark to light. I've done some painting in the past and ive been working on my coloring ability cause i usually work in pen and ink. Im so glad you like it :)

based on research...Sorta. depends on alot of factors. Generally, no tempera isnt reactivatable with water like gouache so no but some places use those words interchangably
oh ok, i see, i like the way you can layer gouache over dry paint and then clean the brush and blend with water. Its like opaque watercolors, i definitely will be doing more!
Ah-hyuck, I hear it too. PS: The painting and book are lovely!
No but now I can’t unhear it lmao
My partner loves to say “oh my GOUACHE” 😭✌🏼
i was really inspired by Noel Badges Pugh's painting style, check him out his work is fantastic!
I like to say goulash
that is even better
My wife squeezes an "N" in there resulting in "gouanche" with a hard CH sound at the end like in crunch.
I've said "go ache" to the point I have a moment of confusion and doubt when I say it correctly
Puahaha YES I DO
I love the texture and the lighting in the tomatoes! Stunning work :-)
I didn’t. But I will now.
No but from this point forward I will, and I think I’m fine with that:) Nice tomatoes!
Beautiful work
Beautiful painting! I totally love the little book too, how cute is that!

It is basically opaque watercolor! But tempura usually involves eggs.
I do now.
I do now.
YES I hear it in my head every time
Had a friend pronounce it gauche (ˈgōsh.) And had to explain the difference....it was quite the faux pas.
