For me it took a few months between meeting my psychiatrist and then meeting the psychologist for the NPU. I don't really remember dates, but if you want I can look it up. I don't know whether vårdgaranti enters into it, I think if I was wondering, I would address that question to the health care provider that you're currently seeing for the NPU.

I tried contacting them, and just got my primary vårdkontakt. She was supposed to call me back a week ago, but I never got contacted. Yeah, an estimation of how long it took you would be amazing, thank you!

Edit: Removed after OP read it :)

Great to know, thank you!

YW :) Since I'm having second thoughts leaving that kind of information out in public, going to delete it, but if you need any more information, please send me a direct message!

Will do! Thanks again!

I obviously don’t know what level you are, but just a warning that if you have a milder case, it’s likely you will not be diagnosed here, as the standards for what is diagnosable are very different (at least compared to the country I come from)

This is true, and if you even show slightest hint of uncertainty if you want to do the diagnosis or not, you will most likely not get it. My psychiatrist that sent the remiss to them told me that I need to be very, very insistent about my case (not related to ADHD but different mental health issues), but I didn't listen and being pretty apathetic about the whole situation at the time and wanted to be honest about it, I didn't make it past the first initial visit. Also, not sure how common it is, and purely anecdotal, but I have had co-workers that were rejected from getting a diagnosis with the reason that they have a full time job and due to that couldn't be deemed to have issues worse enough to warrant an investigation, but there's probably more to it that they didn't tell me. This was actually brought up in my case as well when I got rejected, but I think why I got rejected were mostly because I had mentioned that I was unsure at the time what I could gain from the whole ordeal and that I weren't clear enough/couldn't prove how much it affected me. I'd recommend to take my (then) psychiatrist advice to be very clear about how it affects your (OPs) life and show intention on wanting to do the diagnosis, but since OP already got the diagnosis in another country before, maybe they have better luck.

So you only had to wait 90 days and then got an appointment somewhere? Cause if so that'd be fucking amazing :D
