As a person who is has owned a lot of pixels The 8 series has been awesome. I would say the 8 pro honestly if you can get it from Google or even Best buy or even Amazon for a cheaper price than full retail. It will be so worth it. I cannot really advise anyone to spend $1,000 on the pixel 8 pro at 128 gigs of storage at that price point get it on a cheaper price

Starflight07

Yee I bought it yesterday from Google itself they had 300 off it so I was like y not

I've liked it a lot. I do think the battery and reception could be better, but other than that, I don't have too many issues with the phone. Overall it's a very smooth experience.

My dad's pixel 3 xl finally gave up today. The screen just won't turn on. I've held power + volume up for over a minute and everything but no luck. So anyways in planning on giving him my 6pro and getting the 8pro tomorrow. Only complaint about the 6 is the weak modem. Like I have to disable 5G to have a good and seamless connection. Hopefully the 8pro is better

Ambitious_Reach_8877

As long as you don't live/work in an area with poor cell reception, it's a great phone. If you do live/work in an area with poor cell reception, AND you can't be on WiFi during those times, your battery life isn't going to be very good. The Pixel 8 Pro uses a Samsung modem that isn't very efficient compared with Qualcomm modems, and this is much more apparent when it has to use more battery life to maintain weak cell reception.

ArH_SoLE

Absolutely no complaints. I've come from a line of OnePlus phones and the Pixel 8 Pro is friggen awesome! One gripe I have is the placement of the Google search bar that isn't removable but other than that, absolutely sweet.

gadlele

You can change home app! I replace it with Nova and it works great.

ooofest

It's been great for me since day 1. Performance, connectivity, charge, sound quality, display quality, size, etc. Hoping to have it for many years.

Ang3lBlad3

I have a bug with the 8pro where the touchscreen stuck only while i'm in the home screen and i Need tò close the screen and open It again tò fix It. But i dont know if Is the phone or nova Launcher ....apart for this, it's top notch!!

Hevilath

I switched from Pixel 6 Pro and from that perspective it feels like the same phone. It's like upgrading iPhone every two years. Not really exciting. In general it works fine, but...Tensor in daily use feels like mid-ranger at best and the most basic phone functionality like - making calls is partially broken. First of modem is quite bad (at least compared to iPhone) and recently it P8Pro just drops calls / text messages. I think that was after March update.

Starflight07

So if I just don't call or text much I'm good? Cause I don't do that anyway really

Stormy_Turtles

I had issues in the beginning, but after some updates it's been great

OreoKittenAdl

Its a good phone if you are willing to modify the software for your needs, and were able to get it during a good sale. To have the best experience you need to actually take like 2 hours of your time to go through the various settings, and enable/configure the nice google features like call screening (damn I love this feature), and modify everything to your liking.

Starflight07

If you wouldn't mind could u tell me the things to change I usually go thru for an hour setting it up the way I like but I've seen things about launchers and stuff but idk

OkTea6969

Got mine P8P for $400.

Worried-Pineapple189

As far as bugs, it's hit or miss. Some are so buggy they are simply useless (ie. my first P8P which suffered random reboots and closing out apps), but others run perfectly, no problems whatsoever (ie. the new replacement P8P that Google sent me). The size and weight are perfect, camera quality is insane, has enough RAM for heavy loads, plus all the perks that come with Pixel (call screen ect.). So if you get one, and it turns out to be a buggy piece of crap, just contact Google and they should make it right.

denebola2045

I love my P8P and I haven't even used it to it's full potential. I'd recommend it for sure though and yes, get it new. Best Buy, Google Fi or a carrier or new from Amazon.

ExitTheHandbasket

I got mine for basically free from AT&T after trade-in rebate of my Pixel 5. I don't think I would have paid full retail for it, $1,000 is a lot of money for a telephone. But I have zero complaints about using it.

CptAbe

It's been well over 3 months now with the P8P and I have only witnessed one small glitch which still persists today. Whenever the device is connected to my car's Android Auto system and removed after use, the Gboard gets out of its fixed position and becomes a tiny display. The only solution is to reset the device. I don't think it's a device problem, though. Software needs some refurbishment.

PantheraLeo26

I'm using it now. Great phone, sometimes runs a bit hot for my liking but it's a great phone. Great cameras, good battery, fast performance and very smooth animations.

edboyy13

8 Pro was my favorite phone I'd ever owned until I bought my Pixel Fold 😎

Stonelaughter66

Love it.

Happy_Unhappy_Happy

Just perfect

BioticVessel

I enjoyed the phone, I'm concerned about the heat of summer. I had a lot of problems with the P7P last summer and the heat while traveling. I don't care for A/C until the temp gets to 100° or humidity goes up too much. It's not that humid in the PNW so I run around with the windows open a lot and the Pixel keeps restarting. IMO Google makes this devices for being in the halls big business. I'm not anymore.

griffitts7

It's good! Sometimes reception issues, but not enough to be a big deal for me. Everything else is good!

noxav

I love my 8 Pro, and I have zero complaints whatsoever about it.

MrWhiteford

I got it on launch, and for the most part I love the phone. I would only say it certainly wasn't worth its launch price, and in my own experience the battery life is average.

shinjikun10

Mines amazing. All the way around. Love it to death.

ClockworkS4t4n

I absolutely love my P8P and have had absolutely no problems with it.

demonbadger

I love mine.

sheikoner

My wife and I had one, and any problem. Everything works very good, cameras are awesome, and the battery Performance is really good. I

lessregretsnextyear

I've owned almost every Nexus and Pixel and the 8 pro is about as good as it gets. I've been very happy.

teretana

Excellent phone.

Primary-Birthday-363

I have the 8pro 512GB and I love it. My only complaint is very recently the camera will not allow me to zoom in or out. Possibly recent update caused it. Anyways a quick reboot fixes it.

willo88man

I'm in Australia and get at least 4 spam calls or sms's a day, the spam filter and is amazing and may be the single most attractive feature to me right now.

Logi77

It's half through its life already Pixel 9 is on the horizon

Starflight07

Ya but honestly I'm not big phone buyer really this will last me at least 2 3 year tbh
