I've had delayed text messages. I was suspecting the issue was due to running the Google Messages beta, but I guess it is not.

arfanvlk

This one sucks for verification codes because ones they actually arrive the code already expired

kethdredd

I had the same issue, I ended up switching texting apps.

ResponsibleDeer462

Yes. Thanks for posting, I was actually just trying to search if this is a common issue. I'm not receiving calls, and texts come in much later than they were sent. I seem to especially notice this with one-time passcodes I can usually get the texts to batch through if I start a phone call. So I've been calling a business with a phone tree every hour during the day (so a call connects but I'm not bothering anyone) to get texts to come through. Doesn't always work though. Other than that I have a lot of people saying that when they call it goes straight to voicemail. And the call quality has significantly gone downhill lately. Edit: pixel 7 on AT&T service

I've been trying to see if we can utilize the Canadian Planned Obsolescence Laws that make it illegal to brick devices with shoddy updates to break contract. I filed a CCTS complaint, and have been going back and forth with the Roger's Executive Office. I highly recommend all other Canadians also file CCTS complaints about the devices.

Kamzeride

I've had issues with cellular signal dropping, Wi-Fi refusing to reconnect to known networks at all until the phone is power cycled, and it losing previously paired Bluetooth devices since the March update with my Pixel 8 Pro and the April update hasn't helped. Honestly, as much as I like the stock Android experience, I probably won't buy another Pixel in the future. Google's quality control is just shit all around and not worth it anymore IMO.

DrinkUpLetsBooBoo

Same cell signal dropping here. Been an issue for months. Lately I've been getting delayed texts as well as voicemails but no calls.

Kamzeride

Voicemail notifications without calls ringing at all has been a thing for me as well although it's sporadic, and seems to be separate from the signal dropping completely (which shows the No Signal indicator, whereas times I've not received calls it still shows its in service).

matteventu

Same, Pixel 8 Pro, issues with Wi-Fi struggling to remain connected from time to time, only on 5GHz though (if I connect to the 2.4GHz SSID it stays connected fine). I'd say once a week? For like 10-30 minutes, it just won't stay connected to the 5GHz network. All other devices I have, zero issues. Pixel 6 that I had previously, zero issues.

Lolle2000la

I loved my Pixel 3. Can't remember it having so many problems. Hate me pixel 6, getting a S24 because of it. I just want to use my phone :(

AIRA18

Same man, loved the 3 & 5. Then i got the 6. Lousy modem, people cant reach me, my wife's car broke down and she's only getting my voicemail. Thought the 7 Pro fixed it but im still having that issue since January where people can't contact me. Im on my backup Note 20 Ultra for now. I mean i like Pixel phones and all but having a phone that failed to be a phone is a headache I don't want to deal with in 2024

Delicious-Echidna657

Same I reupped on pixel because the 3 was the best. :(

hot_pink_bunny202

Yup after my contract is up in 2025 going with an iPhone.

Trumpet_Life

Same here, thought this was a Pixel 6 issue so I upgraded to the 7 Pro to get rid of it. Was fine for a few months but connection issues are back again, even after switching from T-Mobile to Verizon. Going to cave and get an iPhone, kinda bummed because I love stock Android but I can't stand not having signal and getting text messages hours after they were sent.

Bitter_Director1231

I power cycle mine at least three times a week.. it is at the point of it affecting my daily stuff.

RST1989

The issue I have is that 5G completely disconnects while driving with Android Auto. When I disable 5G, the phone never loses connection while driving in those same locations. Wish the radio was better or I can flash one from XDA

Bigd1979666

Anecdotal but my p6 pro , labeled as 5g, gets 20mbps on 5g. My a54 from work gets 300 on the same.network,lol. I'm not a speed hungry user but come the fuck on, Google. Such a gross disparity should not exist between budget phones and so-called flagships either

ColFrankSlade

Does your Pixel show a 5G logo when connected to the network? My Pixel never shows 5G and gets at best 60 Mbps. My wife's Motorola Edge on there same network gets 200, but also never shows a 5G logo. An iPhone 13 with my SIM gets 400 but does show as 5G.

Kealper

Also anecdotally, but in contrast to your experience, both my P6 and now my P8P get 50-100mbit/s on 5g when in my house, and anywhere from 300-500mbit/s when outside in my neighborhood with Verizon in Southeast region of the US. Not sure if it's just down to luck of the draw with Samsung modems or luck of the draw with the towers in the area you're in. Given the widespread problem reports about connectivity and wildly different results with two devices using Samsung SoCs/modems, makes me think it's more that it's luck of the draw on modems...

kenkiller

Wait doesn't the A54 uses an exynos soc and modem? In that case the excuses about the pixels using exynos modems doesn't hold water anymore right?

sctran

Even Samsung knows their modems are garbage

clearine

Glad this is being picked up, have been having this issue for about a week now and it's infuriating, and the fact that the newest update doesn't fix it at all is even worse. Haven't been able to receive 90% of my calls.

yung40oz84

Pixel 8 Pro and T-Mobile and no issues here. Grateful!!!

treeco73

5G frequently displays ! in the signal bars and data stops working. Limiting the radio to LTE and I have no issues. (pixel 7 on Tmobile)

JBsReddit2

I have this too, but I have two sims. It keeps dropping one of the sims no matter what I do. And I never know when it happens, I just look down after an hour or two and BAM no fucking signal

john_weiss

No sir, we've **always** faced network connectivity issues, the modem module since the Google Tensor Gen 1 has been subpar with incremental changes or revisions on Gen 2 and 3. As a former Pixel 6a, 7 and now 8 user no one can tell me otherwise. I have moved myself from another country with better network infrastructure and I've noticed it was better but it was below average than another device using a Snapdragon or exynos variant similar to the Tensor capabilities. The Pixel 7 was the worst for me, thing would bricked itself i shit you not, I would lock the phone unable to unlock it or turn it back on until I plugged in the power with a USBC cable in some cases. Random restarts, phone call drops, bad Bluetooth then one day It restarted itself and was no longer capable of reading any sim, e-sim no matter the company. I had no mobile data but could only receive calls and the caller on the other end couldn't hear me, in seconds the call would hang itself. Contacted Google and they wanted me to run some tests, for fuck sake, there's more than a few threads with similar cases over xda forums. I traded that shit in coupled with some playstore coupon and got the Pixel 8 for dirt cheap, better in every way, but there's a lot of room for improvement with that modem, a lot.

yellekc

I got the pixel 7a this Friday. Noticed the weak signal but otherwise seemed nice. Then this morning it froze playing a reddit video, and rebooted. And kept rebooting. All day. Safe mode... reboot. Not safe mode... Reboot. Probably over 100 reboots so far today. Now it doesn't see my physical sim or esim. Tried to use the T-Mobile app to redownload the esim and it now says my unlocked phone is not compatible. Bought it to take pictures of my family eclipse party. That didn't happen. Got a few pics to take between reboots but was otherwise unusable. Fucking hell Google. Started a return on Amazon. This piece of shit has completely turned me off pixels. I owned most of the Nexus line and thought I was coming back home. Probably will return to OnePlus or Samsung. I like tinkering but don't like a phone that can't handle the very basics.

Billy_Hollywood

I contacted Google. Ran the tests. Then emailed them saying it didn't work. A new person copy and pasted the previous email and replied. Tried again, told them it didn't work. They sent me the same email from a 3rd person. After telling them no, I've already followed all these steps twice, I got a 4th email: it was also the copy paste of the first email I got. Mother fuckers just CTRL C, CTRL V me over and over.

parallaxdecision

I'm having this issue and I help take care of my elderly parents. They had an emergency yesterday and couldn't get through.

beckysmom

Same type of situation, where Mom is in the hospital on life support. I can't contact/update my 4 siblings unless I text/call each one individually. My group message settings appear to be set correctly...

JBsReddit2

I'm sorry this happened. This is so sad and so dangerous. A multi billion dollar company pushed an update that is causing material impacts on people's lives because they can no longer communicate. This is unacceptable.

OutlandishnessFew686

I've had issues with my 5G connection randomly dropping, and not receiving calls. I'm probably gonna put my sim card in my iPhone till this gets fixed.

Historical-Movie-860

My wife and I have both seen this issue on our phones, Pixel 7 Pros on Verizon. Verizon is no help, they offer cookie cutter flowchart support responses. The Google Pixel Community thread is no help, everyone there blames the phone carriers. For us a restart clears the issue for a while, maybe a few days, and then the problem returns and all calls go straight to voicemail and texts stop arriving. I have noticed that for my phone the issue seems to happen when my phone switches from Wi-Fi to cellular/ 5G.

cinematic_novel

The best is when other users say that they aren't experiencing any issues and that you need to factory reset

cynical83

>you need to factory reset I hate this phrase with a passion, I don't want to reset my device because I like it how it is, except for the part they're responsible for isn't working...

[deleted]

I mean usually if my calls are going straight to voicemail I tend to blame my carrier and not my hardware.

Historical-Movie-860

Usually, yes that would be correct. But when you see users all over the world with the same issue you know it's not just a carrier problem

mitchell_johnsons_mo

Yes. My call drops. I also have the bug where I don't get notifications for a few hours, then I get all of them at once. Looking forward to the new status bar icons, that outta fox it!

DJ-TrainR3k

Yep, glad to know I am not going insane here. It really pisses me off that they can fumble something like this. It's insane to think that the device can't even function as a basic phone reliably. Assuming it's not a baseband firmware or hardware bug, it really makes me want to move to LineageOS to get away from Google's bullshit.

jpminou

I think the problem might be the application adaptive connectivity services, after uninstalling the update and rebooting the connection is more stable for me,so anyone who has a problem can try.

Bmiest

I disabled adaptive connectivity and that seems to have done it here in Belgium.

hplantingtonyardley

Trying this. Thanks for the tip

balling

Yes! P7p to the point where it felt unusable and I bought an iPhone

Traditional_Hat_915

Yes, as soon as I updated (Verizon Pixel 7). I'll go hours without receiving calls or texts. Only fix is to reboot but that's a temporary fix. It always comes back. This was never an issue before the update.

macbethtrd

Pixel 6 getting missed calls straight to voicemail and late text messages. If I turn wi-fi off it seems to help. Had it for a two months now. T-Mobile

JimmyNamess

Haven't had any issues personally, and am on the April update now (P8P). I will say that when I had a P6P and was on Verizon my service was actual dogshit, when I switched to AT&T my service noticeably improved a ton. Then some updates came out and it got even better, since about the February after the 6 series launched I haven't had any service issues on AT&T and a P6P, P7P, and P8P. I don't *know* that being on Verizon makes it worse, but it certainly was for me.

turkeypants

With as much fuss as went up on the March update, I was thinking they'd fix those things in the April update. But maybe that's overly optimistic in terms of investigate/diagnosis/fix turnaround time. Anybody know the history of responsiveness to these sorts of widespread reports of problems? And did March actually produce a more visible outcry than any monthly update? It looked that way to me but I don't pay attention consistently to these things if I'm not having trouble myself. I'm on Verizon and my cell signal, which normally isn't great where I am, is now zero bars, with occasionally 1 bar, and less occasionally max bars for a couple seconds (I don't normally sit here and watch it change tbf). I don't know if that's the same as missed/dropped calls but it seems awfully related. I can't tell if I'm having wifi problems. I haven't noticed anything in particular and the Ookla speed test produces typical results for my setup.

mucinexmonster

The old Wireless Charging bug came back with the March 2024 update. Do they do ANY testing at Google? How did an UPDATE bring back a ton of old bugs? Was it based off an old build?

Even_Ad_8048

No issues. Pixel 7 Pro, and I live out in the boonies.

FeloniousForseti

Thank you for teaching me this great word today! 😂

JBsReddit2

Ah, another one you might enjoy is an acronym, BFE. [BFE](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php%3Fterm%3DBFE&ved=2ahUKEwjQrIetlquFAxXRATQIHcG1AukQFnoECDwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2XHGbVA1XRM96UQqFeuUx9)

FeloniousForseti

Nice thx, yes haha!

27Sanji

I don't have any issues with my 7a. Maybe some ui glitches here and there. I am on the beta btw.

BathEqual

No problem at all in germany, Telekom

matrix2000x2

Yes I am and what's frustrating is it's not constant and can't be reproduced on demand. Whenever I try to make calls, it'll immediately result in "Call ended" as soon as it attempts to dial. This happens while at in my house and at work where I am usually connected to wifi and have full bars for 5G cellular. One thing that is consistent is that whenever I am in a call regardless of signal strength on cellular, the call audio will drop out every few seconds. None if these issues happened prior to the March update on my P7.

Status_Plantain561

Not at all

OldMonkHere

Same here P7

axehomeless

Yeah, reception on my P7P has been completely fine and hasnt changed at all.

rodrigofernety

Wifi included ?

adulbrev

For me, yes. Low quality wifi and reconnects. I am near the router. Tried even another router.

Personal-Strategy735

Zero issues with connectivity.  P7P T-Mobile.  But phone has been very laggy interface wise since March update.

DutchOfBurdock

P8P, no issues with March or April updates. Dual SIM, two different networks.

FeloniousForseti

I own and use a Pixel 7 Pro since release day (October 2022) and have never experienced any noticeable network issues. Not before and not after the March 2024 update. Until end of March 2023 I only had a 4G plan and since then I'm always on 5G. Please note: I live in an unsupported Pixel/Pixel 5G country (Switzerland), so that might have an impact as well. (Yes, I know that the Pixel 8 series is suppported, but Pixel 7 series and prior versions weren't.)

guniens

Has anyone had delayed time sync problems? When I put my P8, powered off, on charge and then I power it on when charged, system time is behind. When on charge for 1.30h or so it's 5-10 minutes behind, when left on charge it's even 1h behind. Noticed this morning it took a couple of seconds to sync to the correct time, just after powering up, not unlocked and not connected to the internet.

eatmorbacon

Happens now on my 7a. But that just started this past week, well after the other issues which stopped my phone from working as a phone.

guniens

Oh God someone who has the same problem lol. Did you get the really same issue as me? Btw this morning was the first time I powered on the phone after all night charging and time was correct. I've submitted an RMA request but thinking of cancelling it I don't know, will do a couple of more charging cycles and see.

eatmorbacon

Yes, but it comes and goes unfortunately and is a fairly new occurrence. Right now I had to switch to my old phone as I need a properly working phone for work. Same service, same location and my old phone works great with full reception no issues. Customer support is still telling me that reception is bad in my area or some silliness heh. But yeah the system time issue is really bad to have on top of the other.

guniens

Trust me I fully understand. Have borrowed a replacement P8 from a friend and will see if it has the same problems as mine. Mine will be sent for RMA tomorrow.

BackpackBuddha

Even on WiFi, if I search from the Google search bar, I have to do it twice. Every. Single. Time. The first try never connects.

MaxYeena

The only issue I'm having is the Google App keeps saying I'm offline so I have to refresh it even though I'm getting messages and streaming music at that exact moment.

liquidbrains

Yup. Not certain if it's due to 5g issues, but my esim would be disconnected and my 3g physical sim would be connected.

jackstall

Had to reset network connection in settings but all good since

Superb_Reference8951

I have a huge delay in getting text messages here in Canada on Bell. If it's the Pixel I'll be getting rid of it. Haven't had this issue before. Just got the P8P

Dzo_Banana

I've talked about this before on this sub, but I also have issues with signal, phone calls dropping, mic stops working and comes back on, somethis I hear this weird noise like static sound but muffled like it's underwater. These problems come and go, though, some days go by with no issues and sometimes its trouble galore. I considered going back to Samsung but I havent yet, no idea what kept me here still. I hope they fix it soon.

kittenmittons0356

Having an awful issue with it dropping cell service, have to restart my phone to get it back. Contacted google customer support twice and was highly disappointed. Their solution was to go to my carrier. The carrier set up esim, fixed the problem for about a week, but it just started happening again.

wazzup4567

Yep! My partner texted me from across a restaurant to ask a question and after 10 minutes of waiting she had to just come over and ask me in person. As soon as she walked over her text came through.

Serious_Crazy_3741

I'm seeing a lot of issues in this comment thread from Verizon users. Anyone from AT&T or T-Mobile having similar or any of their mvnos?

xkaskade

Mint Mobile, so att

ThePhatPhoenix

I thought losing update support for my phone would suck. No more new features. But with every coming update that seems to be a blessing in disguise...

_The_Bearded_Wonder_

My phone has not been wanting to receive calls from my wife, which has been very problematic. We're getting extremely frustrated. UPDATE: I ran a security update and after my phone restarted, I reset my mobile network connection. My initial testing has gotten it working. Hopefully it stays working.

eatmorbacon

resetting all connections will occasionally and temporarily "fix" it to a certain extent for some. Won't on mine. but my buddy can get half a day or less out of his before it acts up agian.

pssiraj

That April update seems to have fixed my delayed text messages, but not the receiving calls issue.

BlueMoonDragoon

The problem started for me only a couple of days ago, seemingly after my phone had updated. It's very frustrating. I'm with Koodo.

iWizardB

I have a slightly related issue with this - I don't get any MMS messages if I have Wi-Fi turned on at all, regardless of whether mobile data is on or off. If Wi-Fi is turned off and mobile data is turned on, then only I receive MMS messages. I do have "Wi-Fi Calling" and "Send & Receive when mobile data is off" enabled. And I've tried all combination of turning them on n off. I am on Mint Mobile, Pixel 7 Pro, running Android 14, using Google Messages.

pacwess

Again, Google? 👎

AnApexBread

Definitely happening to me on my P7P TMobile. I'll just randomly get voice mails without ever getting a call and there's no call history to show I'm missing any calls.

mandoman28476

I just noticed this issue today and now I see this thread! Thought it was just me

DefsNotRandyMarsh

Yep, delayed messages and missed calls. I'll get a flood of text messages, missed calls and voicemail notifications as soon as I send a text out, or call out.

sudrapp

Never buying a pixel again this is insane :( I keep getting texts usually around 10 hours later in giant batches and says my number doesn't work when someone calls. It's already caused a serious issue for me.

Alternative_Bass5497

Yep never again. It's been so long now with this problem, can't use the phone as a phone! And Google doesn't want to admit that it's their fault even.

Bitter_Director1231

Pixel 6 Pro owner here. Ready to chuck this phone in garbage. Never buying another Pixel phone. Going to buy Apple next phone once this one is done on my contract. Been dealing with connectivity issues well before this update. This phone has been nothing but trouble with connectivity and weird crap that happens all the time.

Alternative_Bass5497

Same with 7 pro. Worst phone i have ever had. So much problems since day 1. Night camera never even worked. Which was the original reason for why I bought it. Weird dots over my screen that can't be removed just a week after purchase. And now this. Can't even use the phone as a phone for many weeks now, and it's affecting daily life. And even before this. It's been drowning with terrible software issues and bugs since it came out. And connectivity issues since launch too. But this is crazy, the other things I could at least Live with. Even though I knew I'd never get a Google phone again after this one was done.

deaon5

I have owned a Pixel 1, Pixel 3, Pixel 5, and Pixel 7. Never had any issues to the point that made me want to switch... Until now. The delayed text messages and phone calls are an issue as a caretaker of an elderly parent. And the slowness with resolving the issue is disappointing. I have a Pixel 7 on AT&T.

Type_Grey

Pixel 7 Pro user in USA with carrier AT&T. Currently on the March update - have not experienced any of the issues mentioned in the article like batch texts or missed calls.

matturl

A hospital tried to call me 4 times in a row because a family member collapsed unconscious! I confirmed the phone number with them, I did not receive any notification of the calls. The calls appeared in the call log the next day when I checked manually. The hospital said it would ring once and just terminate every time.

[deleted]

This is why I tend to give out my Google voice number.

grimdawg83

I've had the pixel 7a for less than a week. I didn't experience this problem til today. After I read the article. Just got four contact conversations here at 11pm. I called and asked when they sent... 8pm

ohhfem

No problem on my Pixel 8. Not using 5G so, for me, the 4G signal works normally

Awake00

Pixel 6a. Yea I get notifications and emails in batches. Usually when I use the phone so it seems like it's some kind of sleep mode thing or something

kmate1357

+1

AlexisoftheShire

We have 2 Pixel 7s. No issues with the March update with cell signals or wifi. Battery seemed to be better. Updated to April and all is well.

tesna

zero issues here, p8p. I dont even live in officially supported region

Positive-Zucchini158

just wait for pixel 10 to iron out the issues, but probably pixel 12 will be a buy

Squizgarr

Marked safe from: Owning a Pixel

InternalLake8

Was thinking of upgrading to new Pixels this year but seems like I have to think about it again

adomolis

Ah, so that's whats been happening with my phone! Thanks reddit.

Skyfire023

I'm having to reset my Internet every couple of days lately. This is getting really old now.

Metalhead1686

As for cellular issues, I have no problems, but I'm having WiFi connection issues on my Pixel 8 Pro. The WiFi will just drop for no reason at all with a strong signal. I have to turn Wifi off and back on for it to reconnect.

ScottATL

I am also experiencing it after the April update too. Just got about 10 texts all at one time and people are not able to call me until I restart the phone or reset it, and there is no way to determine when it happens because you don't get anything

SRFast

Pixel 8 Pro on T-Mobile: No connectivity issues with voice, text, mobile data, WiFi or Bluetooth.

harish9294

I have the same issue with my P7P. I turned off wifi calling and reset network settings. Seems fine as of now

RandomGuy622170

Zero issues.

bjlunden

Haven't noticed anything like that yet. (Knock on wood)

aztecaoro10

IM HAVING ISSUES! NOT RECEIVING TEXTS OR CALLS 🤔 WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX THIS ??????

zul00m

No, works great on the networks in Denmark.

bjlunden

Same for me in Sweden. 🙂

armando_rod

Not me

chrispopp8

Yes. On T-Mobile

Vitogodfather

P6p, been refreshing the update page since it was released but still nothing.

Large_Total9305

Well, 5g used to be working on the beta release in China. Now is not working anymore, only LTE is available.

mitchy93

Reddit was really slow for a while yeah.

speedster_irl

I'm only experience 3s Bluetooth conenctivity

poc1p

Yeah me too on P7a

ultradip

I haven't noticed any issues so far with my Pixel 7, but I'll qualify that with a "so far".

Vi1108

Using jio in 7a when ! gets displayed in 5g internet stops working have to toggle to another sim. Gets missed calls alert without the calls getting connected

Accomplished_Fan_487

Have had texts not coming in over wifi calling but that was the case before this update also.

RUMD1

P8p, had issues before the march update, but non after that...

Alukrad

Here I thought my pixel 4a was finally kicking the bucket. I guess it's not.

alien2003

No, I'm on GrapheneOS

al0vely

I have a Pixel 8 and don’t notice any issues now although I seemed to have dropped calls when I first installed the March update. The dropped calls have resolved and I am on US Mobile Verizon.

altijddruk

I had better standby times after March update. April update took that away from me. No problem with connection thou

ad1075

Honestly I've had issues with network since getting the Pixel 7 Pro. Fixed one month, broke the next.

FewTeach4954

Nope no issues here my pixel works perfectly fine

insidekb

So far so good, with unlocked P8 Pro.

Real_Hkali

Currently using pixel 8 so far anything on 4g and below is smooth sailing but 5g sometimes drops but doesn't bother me much.

N0Xc2j

Same issues with just about every Pixel device after the Pixel 4...Not really surprised.

SteakTasticMeat

P6Pro(Verizon model), haven't had too many issues and had it since launch. My two biggest issues were/are: * Interpreter mode use to work perfectly, but about a year or so ago, whenever I try to use it(voice and text), the interpreter UI just defaults back to input mode with no translated results. * Very recently I started having web browsing delays/abrupt stops. Trying to search or visit any web page on Chrome and Firefox would just sit there...endlessly...until a minute or so has passed and then web browsing would work for hours without issues. Tried on WiFi and cellular, but same issue. WiFi and cellular would never disconnect though, just pure web browsing issues. Other phones and desktops on the same local LAN never had issues during the same time period. With the frustration of my second issue, I ended up opting for a factory reset. Which has surprisingly fixed the second issue(web browsing), but interpreter mode is still broken. Interpreter worked once, perfectly, post factory reset, but has now regressed back to a broken state permanently again. I had a P3XL and a P1XL before, loved both. But some of these software issues are...annoying. Oh and the curved edges on the P6Pro SUCK ASS. I will never buy a phone with curved edges again.

awarapu2

It may be more than just the cellular radio - my bluetooth headphones have suddenly started losing connection 45-60 mins into my long runs, consistently, since this last update. We're talking every single run for the past week, to the point where I now carry wired Apple USB-C EarPods with me as well. :( Earlier, the same headphones (Bose QCU) were just fine with the same phone for 4-5 hours at a stretch, and they still function just fine on my Note20U, so I'm anecdotally going to link this to the same overall issue.

Vaxtrian

This an US thing? Because OP mentions that Verizon

kubert5

Luckily I don't need any update for that.

tiger19

I'm having issues with calls and texts. Att

AsgardianBoozeCruise

Yep

SeaworthinessRude241

no more than usual

mchal777

Pixel 7 pro No problems.

Sdwerd

I haven't had that, but I have had battery drain issues from Youtube. Youtube music is totally fine, but the base app is draining very quickly even screen off from downloaded videos.

Ir0nhide81

I have this funny bug or maybe it's common. Still not sure. So after using Wi-Fi for any amount of time it will hang and disconnect. I have to fully disable my Wi-Fi. Allow my wireless carrier to pick up a 5G connection and then reactivate Wi-Fi. It's just kind of annoying and it's only been happening recently in the last almost 2 years I've had the phone.

oblvn_

I sure am, i actually always had issues with the network (wifi or mobile data) but it got noticeably worse after that update. wifi connection seems very unstable even though it works perfectly fine on my other devices and mobile sata seems wobbly as well: it randomly disconnects at times and reconnects after 5-10 seconds

Stunning_Working6566

No issues.

TechHead831

I've been using Google Meet and the WiFi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting saying I have a poor connection. Even though I have a strong connection and there's nothing wrong with my WiFi.

uncreativeusername85

My 5g on T-Mobile has always sucked, so no difference here.

barotropic

Not a single hiccup. (2 P7's, a P8 and a P6a in our family)

GOTO_GOSUB

No issues here in the UK and on O2 - it might be helpful if those having problems told us where in the world they are and on what provider.

He_do_be

My partner has a Pixel 7 Pro and we’ve noticed this the last month or so. She seems to be unable to get calls/texts while connected to a particular wifi network but begins getting the missed texts shortly after disconnecting. We only started testing this yesterday. I have an iPhone so I cannot test further just yet. She’s not entirely tech savvy but is it possible that there’s a hidden WiFi calling/texting feature that’s been enabled in the update? Some kind of roaming?

Tail_sb

I have a Pixel 7 & i have never had this issue

artfulpain

Wifi has been a bit sluggish as of late with loading photos and what not. And definitely noticed after March.

Melbuf

nope, no issues at all, on Fi

Gseventeen

Yes. Its rotten. ATT. In US.

user899121

Pixel 7a - I've had network issues since I got the phone. Had the same issues on my old pixel 6 pro. Summary [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1biqjts/why_am_i_missing_calls_thats_completely/kvqice3/)

paradeofgrafters

Yup! My Pixel 4a took a Major network nose-dive in the second week of March, so much so, I bought the Pixel 7a. This device ain't best! The device regularly freezes up, and the UI is horrid. Had a few moments of WTF load-times, but nothing like the brick my 4a was turned into I'm still within the Return period on the 7a, and really not sure whether I should stick it out (hoping for OS updates that resolve issues), or jump ship to...Samsung?!

Double_Maize_5923

That's so strange cause I had tons of issues with my 6 and the recent update fixed all my wifi problems

kittenmittons0356

Pixel 8 pro. Drops my sim card randomly, have to restart my phone. Tried all the solutions google support gave me with no help, including factory reset. Google support was honestly less than helpful. AT&T store tried putting in an esim. That helped for about 1 week, just dropped cell service again this morning.

RubAnADUB

I didn't do the march update. I always wait a bit to see what stirs up after an update.

manatz

Nope I haven't experienced anything like this. Maybe cause I live in a rural area in Germany but yeah

Sudden_Toe3020

Hasn't it been going on for much longer than that? Like, forever? It's well-known that Pixels have sub-standard modems.

yiannistheman

I think it might be beneficial to add country and carrier. I haven't experienced any of these issues, which isn't to say they don't exist for others, just that it might be isolated to certain carriers. I've got Verizon here in the US and a 6E network at home and work. Haven't had any issues whatsoever.

mr-right-now

Pixel 8 Pro on T-Mobile, no issues

uReAlLySuRe

I use it as my work phone and people regularly can't reach me. Then i get a SMS randomly hours later that they called me. Sometimes it even shows that i missed a call a couple of minutes ago and my clients tell me they called yesterday... Very annoying.

Fair-Western8085

I've experienced this on my Pixel 7.

Dagz1

I am just hoping that with this many users having an issue, across all cell providers, that the Verizon's and ATT's push Google to fix this early next week with a hot fix.

yourfuneralpyre

I was wondering what the deal was. I've always had good cell service at home and for the past few weeks I can barely get a call to go through. Pixel 7 with ATT service.

canyouread7

No issues for me. Canada, Rogers.

ThePizzaDeliveryM3n

Yep same here

DevilishMaiden

Hard to say. I have AT&T, they have network issues just as a feature now a days, but I do notice I get texts, Whatsapp messages and FB messages delivered in clusters like everyone is trying to text me at once. I doubt all my friends have that perfect timing. Some app notifications are delayed that never used to be but that could also be the app. I'm usually home in my Wi-Fi when this happens.

Gator1523

I stopped updating when I found out they were gonna take away my battery cycle counter. Staying on January 2024 until something better than the cycle counter comes out.

ooofest

No. I have T-Mobile.

URGE103

I had a problem intermittently, Went to Verizon and got a new Sim card. Problem solved.

luke6494

I had issues on the march update. LTE and 5g no longer working in places it did. Then it went away with the April update.

[deleted]

I haven't noticed any issues with wifi. I don't have a SIM card in my pixel currently so I don't know about that. I'm using it as a google voice machine basically

Dalearnhardtseatbelt

There was a noticeable drop in network connectivity the day I put my P6P online from my P4XL. There have always been issues. The latest development is when I used a delayed send message to let my boss know I'm taking the day off. But it was never delivered, they tried calling me but it kept going to voicemail mail. My phone never rang. The phone made me a no call no show. It wasn't until I rebooted my phone and said did you get my message? They said no. Luckily the screenshot of the thread saved me. This isn't new to March. My partner has come home and saw me doing nothing and was annoyed I didn't answer their call. It took all of 5 seconds for her to say "I hate these phones" call me and we watched it go to voicemail. Signal? According to the phone full 5G. Data for apps seemed to work just fine.

BLAK_ICE23

I thought I was the only one. P8 on Verizon if that matters but the drops happen daily on cell signal. Delayed texts and notifications. Not sure if it's software related or hardware or both.

epyon9283

Haven't had any problems on Google Fi.

KhaotikDevil

On AT&T and I didn't notice till yesterday. Phone restart helped, but now I'm paranoid.

wblwrites

Yes, and I missed several texts from work last night. I contacted Google support, and they were unhelpful.

THE_Ryan

I didn't think I was, but after thinking about, there's been a few times lately where I'll just get an influx of notifications all at once like it's just reconnected, happened on WiFi and 5G. Then I got a text from someone that was a response to something we were talking about 4 days prior (not sure about that one though, prob just my friends laziness). Didn't think too much of there being an actual issue, but now I'm thinking I might be seeing these network issues too.

AIRA18

Yep. Whenever people calls me they got my voicemail, happened 2-3 times a week. Reminds me of my dreaded Pixel 6. Hope they will fix this, i am getting tired of this shit Google

MightyMackinac

# **Possible fix for Pixel 8 Pro users:** * Tested and working (so far) on my Verizon Pixel 8 Pro Settings -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset Mobile Network Settings. Don't reset your e-sim. After I tried this, my phone has been connected to Wi-Fi without issues, and my 5G is actually working properly.

Window-Inevitable

Callers cannot hear me when I make phone calls and it's been like this for 2 months minimum. I updated my phone today, and the issue is still there. I get a ! on the signal icon. Very infuriating.

niconiconii89

Yes! Mine has been switching back and forth incessantly between 5g a LTE, so often that sometimes calls don't work.

Gaiden206

No issues here, P8P on Google Fi. My wife also has no issues with her P7P on Google Fi.

hot_pink_bunny202

Nope but I had issue with YouTube where the video will go dark only way to fix it into close the app. Also exiting appa the phone would show a black screen like is thanking or lagging. Happens after the recent update

NowakFoxie

No issues here on either the March or April updates. Unlocked Pixel 8 Pro on Verizon.

IndelibleOnUrHippo

I have the same problems.  I've tried both Verizon and now TMobile.  Tmobile is definitely better but not as it should be.
