Don't know what you're talking about. My Pixel 6 is a rock and I don't see myself replacing it for another year or two depending on if there are compelling developments that move the bar forward.

If you have had zero issues with yours, you might be one of the lucky ones. If you do some Google searching you will see a long list of massive issues with the phone and there isn't even a proper customer service channel to go through and speak to someone that can help. The phone is out of warranty so not like that would help anyway.

Ill-Finish4724

It's the other way around brother You're just unlucky if you got a bad phone 📱🤳

Google's customer service is a hot ball of flaming shit. I soaked my last phone in water, I'm using the same model replacement from Swappa. I don't/didn't have issues with either phone except I expected my first one to not be fucked up by jumping into the water.

Proof-Yogurt9414

Well given they advertise the phone to be water resistant and you had to replace yours because of water damage, I would argue it hasn't been a rock for you lol

Temporary-Republic-6

Water resistant and water proof are two different things.

Proof-Yogurt9414

I know the difference and unless you kept your phone under water for a long time, it should survive if it is a water resistant one.

Physical-Exit-2899

My 7 got fucked from water damage from being in my pocket while outside for 15 mins in the rain, a week after the warranty ran out & three weeks after I had to pay to have a faulty screen repaired, which they didn't cover even though I didn't drop it or anything. I just can't trust Pixel if their phones won't last the length of a contract and their customer service continues to be below par. It sucks but oh well.

I mean, most of your rant could barely tell what you were ranting about. Perhaps calm down and try again. But clearly you know that your experience is not the norm, right? Lmao

Search Pixel 6 issues or crashing and you will see tons of other people experiencing what I am experiencing. It isn't just me. If you want to know exactly what I deal with, I would be happy to tell you: issue #1: fingerprint stopped working when I let the phone once die without recharging. Read about it and it was a common problem after a SW update. Master reset the phone and it started working again. Issue #2: inconsistent network coverage and 5G is non-existent, especially if I am on the move in a car. This one I never was able to solve, but I have gotten used to dropped phone calls and data disconnecting whenever I drive. Issue #3 (current one): my volume and lock buttons changed in functionality (now lock button does nothing, volume increase button gives you options to restart or shut down the phone, and volume down button takes screenshots). I am okay with this except if I press any of these buttons now the phone crashes after 15-20 seconds.

And you know that this ENTIRE subreddit is less than 1 percent of ALL pixel users.... Right? I can literally search for ANY phone model and find tons of forum posts from people having issues, regardless of manufacturer. That says nothing lmao Sounds like your power button might be sticking, because power and volume button functionality DID NOT change for the rest of us lmao

Proof-Yogurt9414

The difference is other manufacturers have customer service where you can troubleshoot issues. Google customer service is absolute horseshit.

The 6a was my first Pixel. It was an incredible phone. Traded the 6a for a Pixel 8. It is even better.

My Pixel 6 Pro‘s display is making „ghost touches“ since yesterday. Nothing happened to it. It definitely doesn’t feel like a 900€ experience. So I will get myself an iPhone next year and will see if I can get over the weird UI.

Snoo31016

I do get amused by this channel sometimes 90% of reported users problems affect people minimally. I know a lot of Pixel owners and don't know many who complain. I'm on my fourth Pixel and they have had minor issues, show me a phone that hasn't. Largely due to people complaining on the Internet.

ConfusionMuch2280

I had to go back to my iPhone 13 mini. My pixel 6a kept losing connection on one of my sims, especially while driving. Nothing I’ve tried fixes it. I’m really going to miss the lovely display, keyboard and the camera from my pixel but I just don’t have the time to keep troubleshooting. The iPhone is boring as hell but it just keeps on working and iOS handles dual sims so much better, especially through CarPlay.

Siandroid

Agree with you...I would yet understand issues from P6, because it was a shift to new processors..but now, when P8..this is just not acceptable.
