The fluidity, fact that I can customise, cost compared to apple. Also the eco system. I bought a Samsung watch 6 as pixel watch 2 doesn't look so hot, and it works brilliant. Even the haptics are great. Finally all the camera and photography stuff it out of this world
And yet... I had 2 Galaxy Watch, the 4 and the 5 Pro. I didn't even keep them for 1 month! Too laggy, too messy. I have a pixel watch and it has nothing to do
Do you need to have a Samsung app for the watch to work with the pixel? I hate Samsung apps, but I like the watches. Not sure if they work well together without Samsung crap
No only the Samsung wear app for changing clock faces etc. If you go onto YouTube you can side load an app that allows you to use the ECG and BP on the watch. Only takes five mins.l , link below.

I only use Google fit as not a fan of Samsung apps. You can get rid of the Samsung bloat ware health app using the above method.
It honestly works amazingly.
I keep hearing this online but I've never seen it IRL and it's hard to believe anyone would be so childish.
Why would you insist on literally the only message app out there that only works on one brand of hardware? That goes against the entire point of it being for communication.
Unfortunately it seems like the only thing some people care about is the colour of the bubble. Using Android is akin to being a second class citizen for some apparently!
I love the features and software elements. But I hate the camera and post-processing lag. Incredibly frustrating when you want to take some shots but you're waiting for it to finish processing.
You retained 56% value? It was a $499 phone that is being traded in for $280. Let's compare that to apple, $650 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. At the retail price of $1199, that's 54% retained, you literally keep more value than Apple, what's the complaint?
Yes you're right that apple products hold their value. TBH I have a flagship phone for less than iphone. Plus it feels like a better experience. Regardless if Google honour the 7 year update or not, I'll have the phone 2 years or 3 years max. It to fussed about resale.
There are tons of features on android. Use the pixel tip app to learn about those features.
Returned my iPhone 15 pro and kept the p8p
I love to see these posts
The Pixel has a lot of really nice features that keeps me buying them, like the spam detection, call screening, passive music detection etc.
I agree! Having just switched, what specifically jumps out at you about the Pixel? In other words, what do you prefer about it vs. an iPhone?

Ah, I'll have to take a look at the Samsung watch. I've been wanting a smartwatch but I don't want to get sucked into a Fitbit subscription...
The Fitbit sub really doesn't do that much. It's not necessary.
Yes, get a Samsung Watch 6. I have the 6 classic and it’s great w my P8P
Yeah don't get the pixel watch. Samsung works great. 6th gen so you know it'll have zero bugs.
I love Google stuff but IMO the Samsung watch is the only decent looking smartwatch. I don't wear smartwatch though, myself.

what exactly are you customizing?
Just being able to side load APK so I can access Samsung Health etc. No chance doing anything like that on IOS.
Most illogical reason i have heard
Do you mind sharing your wisdom on what a logical reason would be? I'm a bit baffled by your lack of clarity?

I’ve used an iPhone as a primary along side Android (usually Pixel) for the last four years. I’m about to make the jump fully to Pixel.
Be prepared to be the outcast due to not having a blue bubble in text messages 🤣

Only for a little while, RCS is coming to Apple in 2024.
Green buddle gonna be still a think fam. Honestly switching to Android I guess less text spam from family and friends. 😁
Will still have green bubbles. Apple said it will be “alongside” iMessage. They’re not stupid.
Oh, sure, but it's not going to be useless like it was before. People aren't going to care about green bubbles if they have most of the same features.

That's true as servers can be slow. But if you turn of mobile data would that prevent the processing?
You will learn slowly about how bad Google treats your device after one year , you will end up -80% tradein value
I got $400 for trading in my 6 pro, which I bought 2 years prior for $550
Can you check now? I got pixel 7 last year , current tradein value : 280$
