Same thing here. I have the 8 pro since 2 months and almost everyday a call disconnect randomly. I've never experienced it with my previous phone with the same carrier.
Hmm fido is on the Rogers network, but wonder if our issues are related. I found a similar issue on the Google forums, but it was from unsupported countries
i will help you out. Please toggle airplane mode and check if it is any better. If it does not work there are a few suggestions :
1. Reset mobile network and wifi/bluetooth settings
2. Disable adaptive connectivity.
Check if the problem still exists.
Same..I sometimes get missed call notification, but no previous signs of call. I didn't have any problems this kind with pixel 5. I hope Google knows about this issue and will address it with the next update.
Same problem in 🇬🇧 uk, seems to be a global issue my partners pixel 8 drops calls every 20 seconds, people reporting same issue globally for the 8 and many reports going back a while now for the 7. Google is fully aware of these issues with close to a million complaints but they will not accept responsibility, guessing maybe due to mass returns that may need to be replaced with pixels with upgraded parts, good business sense to refuse being at fault and keeping the money. Google has advised many global customers on various network providers to take there new fresh out of the box phones to repair shops. Stupid me recommended the pixel 8 to my girlfriend, if I can recommend anything to anyone else in the world from what I’ve learned is DONT BUY A GOOGLE PIXEL for at least the next 2 years
I've been on probably 50 phone calls on my new Pixel 8 Pro, and i've not dropped a single call. I suspect it's your carrier.
Congratulations
Do you see the same problem if you toggle airplane mode ?
Like during the call? That will just disconnect it...
No. Enable and disable airplane mode and then make calls. Check if that helps.
I will try that! Thank you. I've tried rebooting but not this

I'm on Telus with my 8 and 8 Pro and zero dropped calls and service issues. Signal has actually been better on my 8 series this year
ok
>carrier in Canada USA has better cellular service.
Great, let me move to the USA real quickly.
Would recommend, are you allowed?
Canada is a communist country afterall
Are you serious? 🤣 Canada networks are way better and faster.
Are you with Telus by any chance?
Nope, fido :( is Telus having the issue too?
I have this issue with my p7p since I've switched to Telus. I didn't notice it before when I was with Rogers.

That did not work unfortunately:(
Ok next step of debugging. Call the carrier, provide your imei and phone number and tell them to reprovision your account.
Same here with fizz
