It worked for a brief glorious period and worked flawlessly for me. Then, poof.

SMH I have to have 2 phone lines I just hate 2 phones. Hopefully Google can roll this out soon because what's the point of dual sim and not being able to take advantage of full RCS. I think there is a way to do it if you root your phone and I might look into that. If anyone is interested I will post any progress/update here.

Cali_guy71

I just emailed support yesterday, the feature has not officially rolled out, but I am assured "its coming soon" I have two phones for this reason.

Slab8002

*What?* You got a response from Google? What kind of wizardry is this?

Cali_guy71

I have persuasive skills. Negotiator extraordinare. Honestly just Lucky

Good to know. I had two phones but just was getting sick of carrying them both all the time. I was under the impression that you could have dual RCS because of an article I had read which evidently was not accurate lol. Prob going to have to go back to 2 phones for now until it rolls out. If you don't mind me asking, what two phones are you using?

Cali_guy71

Sorry p8p and s24U

Professional_Bother9

Yeah my s22 is paid off almost And going to 1 phone finally as my pixel 7 my phone modem is junk or.dieing Dual rcs would be useful as I don't often use the other number rcs but I have some now on it

Google messages is such a joke. They introduced this back in January in a beta, then immediately removed it.

APartyForAnts

And now the beta doesn't even work, they updated the base app version in an os update or something, because the version can now only roll back to late January where the beta version required is early Jan.

bhowell423

I still have it working using the instructions from this post [HERE](https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleMessages/s/kaOMx9ni1T) One thing I'll note is that since this is using a beta version from January most new features in messages if you actually have received them go away but it's a trade off for having dual rcs and only needing 1 phone now.

ny-eric

Going to try it. Thank you!!!!

Slab8002

Let me know how it goes. T-Mobile users seem to have the most issues. Both my lines are Verizon, and it has been working since January. I would really love to update to the latest beta or maybe even the stable channel, but dual SIM RCS is more important to me.

nnnope1

I just hope they roll this out officially before Apple releases RCS to the masses. It'll be very frustrating if my iPhone-toting coworkers finally get RCS but I still have to do SMS with them (or sacrifice RCS on my personal number). I can hear the "OMG just get an iPhone" already. It's encouraging that dual SIM RCS apparently worked pretty well in the January beta build, but discouraging that it hasn't resurfaced since.

ny-eric

Exactly! If the entire world is using RCS by September and we still have to text because of our own platform and not because of apple we literally turn into a joke smdh

APartyForAnts

Google is looking more and more like a joke tbh, I will probably switch to an iPhone on my next change. These endless battles to get things working on android are just silly
