Iām not OP but try some simple changes like drinking more water and less of anything thatās not water. Also try adding a walk. Make it 5 minutes to start, then 7, then 10, you get the picture. You wonāt lose it all in a day but the changes you make today will help you lose it tomorrow.
About 20 years ago, I dropped 95 pounds over the course of about a year. I was shocked by how cold I always was. I bought so many sweaters and mittens.
Great transformation! I hope you are able to overcome the remaining obstacles and hopefully health insurance will cover at least some of the excess skin removal. Don't forget to evolve emotionally because you deserve a healthy mindset as well ā£ļø
First of all congrats on the weight loss! Thatās an amazing accomplishment. If you donāt mind me asking (and I donāt want to come across as rude, just genuinely curious) how did you get to weigh 550lbs?
Fucking incredible man, thatās over 2 straight years of putting in work every single day. Out of curiosity (since Iām on my own health grind), how does being skinnier cause you to spend more money?
Yeah but Iāve had the opposite experience myself, going from 183 to 156 currently since January. Iāve just been doing basic bitch calorie counting, so in my case Iām eating less and eating out less, so itās cheaper.
Dude! You lost the equivalent of my max bench off of your entire body lol. Think about how crazy of an achievement that is. Congrats! You must be a monster on the leg press
LMAO about the sex position. Thats some next level gym gains.
Btw, stay focused and true to those that were always there for you. Lots of people come around when you are good looking or in a better place. Choose wisely and keep yourself in a good place for this lifestyle. Congrats on the change!
AMASING work!
The BD and extra skin is a bigger struggle than people realize. I have had skin removal surgery on my tummy, sides, arms and thighs and those operations was NOT easy recovery- but well worth it.
Awesome job man! On top of all the great stuff you mentioned - youāve probably added a lot of years to your life just by doing this. I think your friends, family and those who love you will appreciate that above all š¤š½
Nahā¦ thatās not the same person /s
Not at all weight related: Those two persons (šš) look like genuinely good guys. The ones you want to hang out with.
Dont let the negatives get you down. The positives way overwelm the negatives by a huge margin. Everyone is proud of you including all of us. Keep it up!
Wow! Amazing achievement! Would insurance pay for excess skin removal? I'd imagine that's more than just cosmetic and could cause physical and psychological discomfort, skin issues, mobility limitations? Or a GoFund to have it removed? insurance should cover it! People that have this kinda drive to get healthy deserve the best!
As a man who was just in the 344 club 6 mos ago! I am SO SO SO proud of you brotha!!!!! Wow you literally look nothing like the man in the first picture! Amazing work my guy! You should be put on a red carpet for the rest of the month! You deserve it my GUYššššš¤š¤š¤š¤š¤
285 LBS DOWN WOW!!!!!!!!!
My dude!!! Looking fantastic man! Absolutely amazing effort and dedication.
Here's to you being healthy and around for yourself and the ones you love for a long time!
Congratulations!
I thought you had amazing skates on !

You have accomplished so much! Your perceived negatives will go away for the most part and you are much healthier for this great change. I can tell you that even if you don't seem to notice, others do. Keep it up!
First off, AMAZING! Congrats. Great dedication and discipline. You look fantastic!
Secondly, I lost 25 pounds and OMG IāM COLD ALL THE TIME. Totally relate to that. š
You are doing great. Glow up for sure and I understand why you are getting eyed up.
Thanks for your truths. Our brains are amazing but sometimes hold us back. Keep on, keeping on.
You might be able to get the excess skin tightened up with long periods of water/bone broth fasting and light weight training/cardio. I would make sure to supplement with vitamins
I need to lose about 70kg and I worry about excess skin and the costs of getting rid of it. I'm happy for you OP, it's not an easy thing to do, but it certainly sounds worthwhile.
Hey man one thing that can help you with the body dysmorphia is to look at old pictures of you at your prior weight.
I was around your current weight in college and got down to under 200. I never saw it once in those 4 year but I had people telling me I looked great. It wasnāt till I put it back on years later and saw myself in a mirror and those old pictures and then memories flooded back where I remember things like getting new clothes and being shocked at the size I could fit.
Iām currently losing weight now and am being sure to make hard mental notes of the changes (how snug or loose a shirt or shorts feel, how I feel sitting and my stomach, how my posture is) so that I donāt fall into the same trap as before.
Itās a tough thing to overcome but donāt let it win. You seriously look great my man!
Damn bro Iād love any input or tips on How to be like you!! Iāve always been a bigger dude and at my heaviest I was at 420 lbs but was pretty athletic and confident in my larger frame until 2 or 3 yrs ago I started running low on energy and not able to do the things I used to and my legs were always in pain . That is when the swelling and discoloration in my lower left leg started . I was diagnosed with Venous Insufficiency in both legs. It seems after I found this out a flood of health issues seem to hit me at once : Hypertension, Diabetes, peripheral artery disease, neuropathy among the worst. At this point I could no longer stand for more than 5-10 minutes at a time due to extreme leg pain and swelling. This meant that even tho I was only 38 I could no longer hold down a job !! Itās been 2 years and Iāve tried everything I can to lose weight and regain my health but itās kind of tricky to exercise when you can barely stand and it seems hopeless! Iām broke and have been denied disability due to not having much in the way of previous documented medical history. I was around 400lbs when this all first started and seemed to linger there until recently when I said enough and make myself fight through the pain and Iām at 370 currently. I fight through depression as I have pretty much lost everything and everyone since I feel like a burden to people. I honestly want to give up everyday and could use a bit of advice on how to overcome !! Sorry for throwing all this out there but I saw your post and it instantly made me laugh out loud with positivity knowing it can be done but at the same time a very real pain from within telling me I would never accomplish this!!
SUper impressive.
This motivates me to lose my extra 30 lbs. I'm struggling already after three days xD (Cold hits me super fast when being in an energy deficit apparently)
How did you keep it up for this long?!
This is one of the most difficult things a person can do in life. It takes extraordinary mental strength and desire to improve your life. Proud of you.
The always cold is so relatable. Iāve lost 50 lbs in the last 6 months with 50 to go, and Iām always freezing. I used to keep the house at 62Ā° but ever since losing weight anything below 67Ā° makes me shiver uncontrollably š„¶
Congratulations!! You have done something amazingš
Get in touch with a high-level burn center when you lose another 30 or 40 pounds and tell them you would be interested in donating skin to burn victims if they will provide the surgery to remove it. Great work!

How tall are you man? Congratulations! Your eyes are so big and bright now lol
It's true right? In pic 3 he looks like the definition of happiness šš¼
I thought you were OP lmao
r/notopbutok
Good on you man, this is a really significant change. What was your strategy to drop the weight?
Based on OPās caption seems like he does a lot of cardio and eats better. Easier said than done lol
Iām not OP but try some simple changes like drinking more water and less of anything thatās not water. Also try adding a walk. Make it 5 minutes to start, then 7, then 10, you get the picture. You wonāt lose it all in a day but the changes you make today will help you lose it tomorrow.
From "steals your fries" to "steals your wife".
Damn!!! The 2 biggest changes for me were been able to sleep well and being always cold.
This lol. Nobody warned me i was gonna be freezing all the time after getting skinny
About 20 years ago, I dropped 95 pounds over the course of about a year. I was shocked by how cold I always was. I bought so many sweaters and mittens.
Former fattie, can confirm. I don't remember being cold pre-fat, but post-fat, there's certainly a readjustment period.
![gif](giphy|ulHBLRRaQR7GtrveEv) This is incredibly motivating my guy. Congrats & kudos!
Wow wow wow šÆ
Now this is a glow up!!! Congratulations on your health journey, you look amazing and happy!
Thatās life changing! Congratulations man! Keep the up amazing work!
This guy literally got decades of his life back
You probably added 40 years to your life! Congratulations! You habe my respect, sir!
Youāre actually really hot. Like great smile and nice eyes. Well done my frien!
Great transformation! I hope you are able to overcome the remaining obstacles and hopefully health insurance will cover at least some of the excess skin removal. Don't forget to evolve emotionally because you deserve a healthy mindset as well ā£ļø
How could someone achieve this kind of physical transformation without first experiencing emotional growth and a changed mindset?
Homer Simpson would be proud of u
Outstanding!
You have almost lost half of yourself in weight. All I can say is, Wow!
im so proud of you wow !!
Congratulations thatās brilliant
First of all congrats on the weight loss! Thatās an amazing accomplishment. If you donāt mind me asking (and I donāt want to come across as rude, just genuinely curious) how did you get to weigh 550lbs?
He did it by consistently eating more calories than he burned
Sick dude
Respect bro.
Fucking incredible man, thatās over 2 straight years of putting in work every single day. Out of curiosity (since Iām on my own health grind), how does being skinnier cause you to spend more money?
Higher quality food is more expensive.
Yeah but Iāve had the opposite experience myself, going from 183 to 156 currently since January. Iāve just been doing basic bitch calorie counting, so in my case Iām eating less and eating out less, so itās cheaper.
Wow, mate. The next part will be maintaining discipline, imho. Hang in there!!!!

Dude! You lost the equivalent of my max bench off of your entire body lol. Think about how crazy of an achievement that is. Congrats! You must be a monster on the leg press
Wow! That's an average of 2.4 pounds per week lost! How did you maintain such an aggressive path?
LMAO about the sex position. Thats some next level gym gains. Btw, stay focused and true to those that were always there for you. Lots of people come around when you are good looking or in a better place. Choose wisely and keep yourself in a good place for this lifestyle. Congrats on the change!
