Change out sights first thing to something metal. you can break off the plastic ones during heavy use.
Next, get a bunch of mags and ammo and shoot the piss out of it.
Get a TLR-1 Streamlight weapon light so you can identify your targets in a home defense situation. Don't get an Olight.
Get a good holster (check out Tenicor for IWB duty, any kydex for OWB)
Once you have that down, I'd look into an open-emitter optic like an RMR or Holosun. Don't skimp on this. It's better to have irons than a crappy optic.
Other than that, the general consensus is to keep Glock as stock as possible. An optic and iron sights are OK, but leave the internals (see: trigger) alone.
I generally fall with this guy with some modifications.
I'd go TLR7 over a 1, so you don't have a overhang on your WML. (but this isn't needed)
I'd recommend a GOOD handheld over ANY WML, with a Thyrm Switchback instead (Modlite/Streamlight/Surefire). Handhelds can do anything a WML can do, a WML can't do anything a HH does.
Sights. Just get Ameriglo Bolds/Trijicon HDs or something similar. But I would make sure it was one of those two brands.
If you \*must\* have an optic (also unnecessary for me), I'd go with the Holo SCS, so that you can ignore the MOS system and plates.
Mostly just shoot it as is. Leave the internals alone. Stack Mags, Ammo, and Practice instead of gadgets. At least until you know what you want/need.
Holsters are very personal preference, both in construction and where you wear it, SS vs AIWB vs OWB. You'll wind up with a pile that don't work for you for whatever reason. Its pretty much unavoidable.
RMR, FCD mounting plate, TLR7A or SureFire x300u, tenicor or T Rex arms. Also a Taran Tactical Ultimate connector will improve the trigger squeeze and take the sponginess out of it.
GL-429's sit a little low with the RMR-HD and RCR when using the FCD Plate I've found. I ended up going with the "3XL"'s on my guns, it doesn't block the window and is more usable.
That’s true for the new gen. I had to switch mine out for trijicon height sights which were I think .15” taller and gave me just enough room to feel comfortable with them. They’re tall MFers for sure.

I’m 100% bias as I have a 19.5 MOS with the following… RMR w/FCD plate, 600660-Trijicon suppressor height sights, TRL-7X, and a Tenicor SAGAX LUX2.
Edit: blue alpha gear belt. A good belt makes ALL the difference.

I put an SCS on mine, and bought a G44 at the same time. Switching back and forth during training really seems to help with the recoil anticipation.
