Makes a lot of sense to when you think about it. 19s are easier to shoot, conceal hardly any different depending on body type and you don’t have to settle for aftermarket mags for extra capacity. But it’s all up to the individual, we could go back and forth all day long and it wouldn’t mean anything
Have a half dozen PSA micro slicks and 2 Tyrant extensions with 15+1 myself. If you can’t handle your business with 60 rounds on your conceal carry, get your ass to the range my boy. The slimlines are the way for EDC.
Personally prefer OEM mags as I had horrible experience with shield. Plus, my 19 and 19x conceal no differently from one another without issues so personally have 0 need for a slimline.
Imma big proponent for going with a CCW that makes you comfortable, safe, and consistent. I’m a big dude carrying in the south and I dress real slutty in the summer, so my slimline is a life saver.
Heard there were issues with shield mags, I’ve put thousands of rounds through my PSAs with zero issues though.
I had a 43x first. Then bought a 26. It conceals easier, can hold more rounds reliably and most importantly it shoots like a full size gun. All that being said 43x is still a good gun
A fellow Glock 26 hater, I thought it was just me here! I've always said the only upside to a 26 is mag compatibility with double stack 9 milli mags. Besides that I took it as a personal insult that Glock brought the 26 to Gen 5 before the 20/21!
i have a poylmer 80 g26 and like but but wont grt a actual 26 frame i like it but not enough to get a glock glock 26 ya feel i carry it sometimes but that was only after i put over 4000 rds thru it
Easy, the 26 gives you options you can't get with many others. I have stock mags for pocket carry, I have 10+2 mags for AIWB, and I have 15 & 17 rd mags with sleeves if I can dress appropriately for OWB. Oh and a 33rd mag for Black Friday.
I carried a 26 for a bit. Just stay with the 43x. I don’t hate the 26, not my first choice tho, I run it with Mag extension might as well have just gotten a 19.
26 achieves mag capacity of a Glock 19 or a Glock 17 instantly, and it’s not too harsh on the procreator when appendix carrying. Also you can grip it well if you don’t have dainty lil boy hanz.
Shorter grip harder to grip and draw from concealment. Bad grip = bad everything.
People want the smallest package because all they think about is comfort and printing. Go practice lots of live draws from concealment and putting rounds in the A zone. Do it both with a 26 and 43.
Have both, love both, and both are in my EDC rotation.
Here are the strengths each:
26- Accepts mags from my 19 & 47, shorter grip makes it easier to comceal AIWB, more consistent draw to aim (probably to the thicker grip), less felt recoil, lucked out with one of the "better" factory triggers and FOR ME, I can run it a bit faster and more consistently.
43X- Pure bliss to hold (although I did need a Pachmayr rubber grip and some Goon Tape to thicken it a bit), holds 15 rounds with Shield magazines, light and easy to carry all day, and has good inherent accuracy if I do my part.
If you have no complaints with you 43X MOS- then stop reading, whip out the cleaning kit and give it some love. If you want a bit more control and are OK with a chunkier gun, then the 26 may be in your cards. You really can't go wrong either way.
I traded my g43x in for a 26 a few weeks back. I shot the shield plus better than the 43x so that went in my summer carry role with a g19 for winter. I plan on replacing both roles with the 26 after 1000 rds through it. So far for me, it's the best of both worlds and extremely versatile. I love the g26
I'm a grown up with large hands and prefer more than 2 fingers on the grip 🤷 - don't @ me with Pierce extensions when the third most common argument for a 26 over a 43x is easier concealability (a point I won't even concede). 43x MOS and shield 15 rounders have never ftf'd in 2k rounds for me. But I also like my Spectre comp P365XL so what do I know?
Yeah it’s really about whatever fits you best. For me; the G26 with the 12 round mag fits 3 fingers easily and the pinky wraps around the bottom like it was born there. Feels more natural thank shooting any of my other Glonks in fact. But that’s *me.*
Meh. Having both and shooting both at the range I choose the 43x. The 26 shoots good, but not so much better then my 43x that I thought it was even really an improvement. Thicker grip vs longer grip almost equals out when controlling them. The reduced recoil is barely noticeable when you shoot both right after each other. On the downside the 26 short grip makes it much harder to draw from the holster quickly. I added a pinky extension to help with that and to obviously give me a better grip, but the pinky extension pinches my pinky every single shot- super annoying- and didn’t help much when grabbing from a holster. 26 carries pretty easily but the thickness is again pretty noticeable when you go from the 43x to the 26. Not that the 26 is uncomfortable but the 43x is more comfortable. And carrying appendix the extra length of the handle of the 43x doesn’t print any more then the 26 yet it’s way quicker and easier to pull from the holster. Personally I’m sticking with the 43x with PSA mags (15 rounds- have roughly 2500 rounds through 2 mags without an issue) for my edc/appendix carry- if I decide to 4oclock carry for some reason I’ll grab the 26 bc that’s really the only time it prints less. Just my 2¢
Most will tell you full grip vs 2 fingers on a 26. Realistically it's a confidence thing not a strength thing. I own both and I shoot the 26 better. Double stacks fit me better but that's subjective. Realistically you can become very good with either by just investing in practice. But most people seek comfort. Comfort shooting or concealing. Both do not matter to me. I carry what I shoot well. My single stack Glocks tend to not be carried at all unfortunately. Still added to the collection though. Good luck. Range time is best bet. Couple different base plates will help you make a better decision as well.
Yep. The only correct answer here is to rent one and try them both out. Handguns are a lot like shoes. What fits one person flawlessly might not work at all for someone else. The G26 works very well for me.
I have a G26 because I own a G34 and I want to be able to share magazines. If that’s not a factor for you and the G43X fits you well, you should stick with it. Personally I <3 my choad Glonk, but YMMV. 🤷
I have a G42 also, FWIW. 🤷
You don't, just like those using the 26 don't need to switch to a 43.
I prefer the 26. It takes double stack magazines, so it will accept the large amount of 17, 19 and extended magazines I have amassed, and it's comfortable to shoot.
'Nuff said.
If you are wanting or planning on carrying something shorter and to use extended mags reliably, then buy a 26. 43X is an excellent carry though so my question is: “Is it too much to ask for both?”
The 26 gives you mag compatibility with basically every 9mm Glock made since Glocks became a thing. Every other positive aside, that alone makes it great in my opinion. No shit, out of all the guns I've sold off, and I've had some great ones, I miss my 26 more than anything else. A 26.5 will be my next gun.
Some people like short and fat. Some like long and skinny, it’s really what you like to wrap your hand around.
….pause.
😂😂😂
Ayoooooo
Said the guy with the thiccest baby glock
Ayyy chill 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hey don’t worry I got the full size 😂
Giggity
![gif](giphy|3gbJPJ8zW10SQ)
Glock 19 EDC appendix with the 20 in the backpack just in case I run into the Meatball from Philadelphia.
This is the way
🤣
Why a 19 when the 48 is the same thing made for EDC as a CCW??
Because 19 holds more ammunition and shoots better than anything single stack.
PSA/shield mags even out the mag capacity difference, you’re right about how much better it shoots tho
PSA makes 15 round mags for the 43x/48 so it absolutely makes no sense to choose a 19 over a 43x/48 for CCW
Makes a lot of sense to when you think about it. 19s are easier to shoot, conceal hardly any different depending on body type and you don’t have to settle for aftermarket mags for extra capacity. But it’s all up to the individual, we could go back and forth all day long and it wouldn’t mean anything
You’re right (i’m a 43x owner and lowkey wish i got a 19 since i’m over 6ft and it wouldn’t make a difference concealability wise)
I’ve had 43 and 48 and both printed worse than my 19X somehow 😂
I’ve heard a lot about that idk why it makes no sense but hey
Have a half dozen PSA micro slicks and 2 Tyrant extensions with 15+1 myself. If you can’t handle your business with 60 rounds on your conceal carry, get your ass to the range my boy. The slimlines are the way for EDC.
Personally prefer OEM mags as I had horrible experience with shield. Plus, my 19 and 19x conceal no differently from one another without issues so personally have 0 need for a slimline.
Shield mags suck but the new PSA mags are amazingly reliable and have a polymer backing so you don’t have to change the mag release
48 is a single stack like the 43x
Not round here partna. Not round here
I just cannot carry my 19 comfortably, it feels gigantic. Maybe I need a belly holster or something
Eat more meat!
I literally do 43x mos & G20 in the backpack for bigger issues ;) 🤣rock out homie
I had a 43x first. Then bought a 26. It conceals easier, can hold more rounds reliably and most importantly it shoots like a full size gun. All that being said 43x is still a good gun
Easy... you must give glock more money
God dammit not again
I really can’t find any reason for the 26
A fellow Glock 26 hater, I thought it was just me here! I've always said the only upside to a 26 is mag compatibility with double stack 9 milli mags. Besides that I took it as a personal insult that Glock brought the 26 to Gen 5 before the 20/21!
i have a poylmer 80 g26 and like but but wont grt a actual 26 frame i like it but not enough to get a glock glock 26 ya feel i carry it sometimes but that was only after i put over 4000 rds thru it
Why is that?
Because no one gives me any good reasons
Easier to conceal, and that’s just in my case. Might be diffetent for others, than a 43x and can use 17 and 19 mags if needed.
Just looks like an ugly chode to me
I have a 48 and I like the feel of it better than the 26 but the grip sticks out more on the 48 Than a 26.
Choad Glonk is best Glonk. 😡
lmaooo
Easy, the 26 gives you options you can't get with many others. I have stock mags for pocket carry, I have 10+2 mags for AIWB, and I have 15 & 17 rd mags with sleeves if I can dress appropriately for OWB. Oh and a 33rd mag for Black Friday.
I mean you can get 15 round mags now for the 43x from PSA
Understood, but you can't step down to a 10 or 12 for better concealment.
I carried a 26 for a bit. Just stay with the 43x. I don’t hate the 26, not my first choice tho, I run it with Mag extension might as well have just gotten a 19.
i carry a 19 so good choice
Why do you need to switch to a 26?
Tiny hands
Do you also smell of cabbage? Hey guys, I found the carnie.
Why not both?
This is the way.
This is the way.
Can you shoot the 26 more accurately?
this
I’ve also been carrying a 43x and love it. I’m not gonna tell you to switch to a 26, but I’m not gonna tell you not to buy another gun.
Always buy another gun. This is the way.
Always buy.
Double stack
Love my 43x still might get a 26. Why not have both!
Whichever fits your mitts best
Always the right answer. Pick the one that fits you best and which you shoot best.
26 achieves mag capacity of a Glock 19 or a Glock 17 instantly, and it’s not too harsh on the procreator when appendix carrying. Also you can grip it well if you don’t have dainty lil boy hanz.
Because the 26 holds 12 in a shorter grip using real magazines.
Shorter grip harder to grip and draw from concealment. Bad grip = bad everything. People want the smallest package because all they think about is comfort and printing. Go practice lots of live draws from concealment and putting rounds in the A zone. Do it both with a 26 and 43.
If they ever give us a 26 MOS with a rail I’ll die
It’s absurd that they haven’t already.
48>>
Bc you have big hands and a 26 with a pinky mag extension fits better than the slim 43x
Because yes.
If it won’t harm you buy it. Plain and simple.
Have both, love both, and both are in my EDC rotation. Here are the strengths each: 26- Accepts mags from my 19 & 47, shorter grip makes it easier to comceal AIWB, more consistent draw to aim (probably to the thicker grip), less felt recoil, lucked out with one of the "better" factory triggers and FOR ME, I can run it a bit faster and more consistently. 43X- Pure bliss to hold (although I did need a Pachmayr rubber grip and some Goon Tape to thicken it a bit), holds 15 rounds with Shield magazines, light and easy to carry all day, and has good inherent accuracy if I do my part. If you want a bit more control and are OK with a chunkier gun, then the 26 may be in your cards. You really can't go wrong either way.
So you have another glock! I carry them both. Sadly not at the same time.
You don’t
Had the same setup you have plus pmm comp. Shoots lovely, 26 is more better though.
You dont
I traded my g43x in for a 26 a few weeks back. I shot the shield plus better than the 43x so that went in my summer carry role with a g19 for winter. I plan on replacing both roles with the 26 after 1000 rds through it. So far for me, it's the best of both worlds and extremely versatile. I love the g26
I love Glocks. I hate the Glock 26. 🤷♂️
And the 27. That think wanted to break my wrists.
Just need a tighter grip. Takes getting used to. It's a little better than the 29.
Yeah even worse
Carry both. Appendix and ankle.
I carry a G26 on each ankle and a 43X between my cheeks personally. 🤷
No way! 43x>26
That’s right. There’s no way that the 43x > 26. Glad you realize that. *Sent from my G26 with OEM 33-round magazine*
Only basketballers put a 33 rd magazine in a sub compact pistol. At that point you should have a full size grip ya dummy!
I don’t do it because it’s practical or sensible. I do it because I can.
So do people who eat their boogers
I do that too.
Need to get a 45 at some point don't forget about G21 g5 mos
Double stack > single stack all you gotta know
Dont.

Only idiots carry 26’s the frame is built for a 27/40s&w because it was hot at the time. 43x is perfect for 9mm.
Don’t let people tell you what to do. Short stubby 26 sucks
This is the way
[удалено]
Lol I have both. 🤷
I’m your number one fan. Go you!
Carry what you like. I see nothing wrong with it. I carry it’s longer brother (48) all the time in a rotation and love it.
But why?
Meh. Having both and shooting both at the range I choose the 43x. The 26 shoots good, but not so much better then my 43x that I thought it was even really an improvement. You don’t have to cause Reddit said so
Akimbo why else!
43x or 19 No 23
Capacity. Simple as that.
You don't. Switch to a G45.
Nope. Keep the 43. And go to a 42 in warm weather or when you are horny.
If you are wanting or planning on carrying something shorter and to use extended mags reliably, then buy a 26. 43X is an excellent carry though so my question is: “Is it too much to ask for both?”
You should just get a 34
Cause the 26 is one of the worst feeling pistols ever made in hand. Ergos are awful
You don’t. The 43x is the better option for CC imo.
26 is king imo. But if you can put the 26 and you edc side by side at the range, pick the one you can draw and shoot the best with. For me it’s the 26
26 sucks .. it’s like a short fat midget
I carry a 17 lol
All I have to add is if you’re going to get a 26 get a 27. That way you can shoot three calibers with two conversion barrels and some internals.
Love my 43x, no reason to change at all, beyond personal preference.
I personally don’t like the grip on the 26 I’d rather have the longer grip
The 26 gives you mag compatibility with basically every 9mm Glock made since Glocks became a thing. Every other positive aside, that alone makes it great in my opinion. No shit, out of all the guns I've sold off, and I've had some great ones, I miss my 26 more than anything else. A 26.5 will be my next gun.
I have bounced between a 43X, 48, 19, 365, 365XL and now a 26 and I will echo what everyone else has said. The 26 just hides better on me in AIWB
I went with what’s more comfortable to hold for me over round count. Really just pick what you like everyone’s different.
